Arrived Phuket / Patong at the end of November, stayed at are-Mar as it was one of two hotels named by this forum as girl-friendly.

Are-Mar made me sign a joiner acceptance form on check in, which declared that I understood that there was a 500 baht joiner fee (waived temporarily) for each joining guest, and that they were only joined 12-12 pm, or something similar. Also, they were denied amenities and breakfast.

I had specifically chosen Patong, despite having previously hated Patong, as it seemed most likely to have the level of sleaze that I wanted. Rawai was specifically rejected due to comments in this forum that renting a bike would be preferred, as I drink too much. Similarly, Phuket was chosen over Bangkok due to being "more opened up."

Day one had me seeing Soi Bangla as a bunch of beer bars with 200 baht lady drinks and tired women, which is what I remember Patong as, but with more expensive drinks now. Loud music was the norm. I finally wandered over to Ying Cha Rearn massage at the corner of Ratutit and SaiNamyen, and had an oily with a BJ. New information learned: when they negotiate price, it often includes the massage fee. So my atrociously negotiated 1500 baht for a BJ wasn't quite as horribly bad as I had thought after leaving, as the massage fee was 350/ hour leaving 1150 as the BJ. It's been a while for me, and this provided a valuable experiential memory to guide future negotiations and not just fold immediately. A refresher.

Probably the biggest surprise with these "legit" massage places with semi-attractive women outside, is that despite going straight to me being naked for the oil massage, there was no shower beforehand. Was I clean? Well, yes, but not enough that having someone massage my buttocks didn't leave me with some concern that walking around for a few hours might have made things less than perfect.

On previous trips, I had made use of TF to bring in talent, with some success. Not so on this trip. In fact, I didn't get anything more than a BJ or HJ from a massage until I moved on to Bangkok.

I had one lovely, in Rawai, ask for 2500ST (one shot) and 5000 LT. Never mentioned taxi fee. I passed as I'd hoped for multiple shots.

I had one TF girl negotiate out as 2500 for 2 hours / 3 shots with a 500 baht taxi fee, despite her only being 1. 3 km from the hotel. She did suggest that I come and see her in the gogo she dances at, hidden at the end of a long passage at the back of Pumpui bar on Bangla. I never saw her, which is probably for the best. Her updated LINE photo was not as good as the TF photos. As a friend remarked, "needs alcohol. " I really need to start doing video calls before meeting.

Which brings me to my other TF experience. For the love of god, don't tell them your room number in advance, as Phuket doesn't believe in security in hotels generally, and anyone can just walk up to your room. When asked for my room number, a combination of being forthright and expectation that the number would be used to ask the lobby to call me down prompted me to provide it. I clarified in the Whatsapp chat that we were to meet at the lobby and do the joiner signing process, ID card and vaccine card required, and all of this was agreed. Similarly, she agreed to 2500 for 3 shots in 2 hours. Photos were nice, English was good. Especially after talking to Ms. 5 k LT, above, I was excited about this.

It's worth noting at this point that, although tall Thai girls exist, tall Thai girls don't exist, and you should remember that they don't exist.

Promptly at the appointed time, there's a knock at my room door. I kept asking why she wasn't at the lobby, and a combination of dissemble and bad English ensues. She comes in the room, but at this point I've already noted the voice. Definitely a ladyboy with the sotto voice. How did this happen? Her pictures passed inspection. Even in person, the face passed. I'd asked in chat if she "had a baby," and was told "no I'm single. " Lest you think that upgrading my pre-session questioning game would have remedied this, even in the room, Ms. Deep Voice refused to admit she was not a woman. So much denial that I started to accept the idea, as someone that blatantly dishonest is just out of the range of my normal experience. Look at the ID card? No, she didn't have it with her of course, but did have a grainy photo on her phone of someone's card, and she dutifully pointed out that it said "Ms." She even had me do a Crocodile Dundee through her clothes, no bulge.

Just as I'd started to accept the voice and 'go with the flow,' she asks for pre-payment. Full stop, no way. No more acceptance of the voice either, as big head is thinking more clearly now. Of course she won't leave without something, and having not acclimated to the "500 baht for every taxi ride" that is Patong, I kept dismissing that idea and suggesting 200 baht, 300 baht. Throughout this, I'm noting that communication is way more difficult than it was during chat. She also starts showing me screenshots of our chat.

Next, she decides to call up her 'manager' on speaker phone, and now it becomes clear that I had not chatted with this person directly, I had chatted with a coordinator. Hence the screenshots of the chat (which were also incomplete). Eventually I'm convinced by simple intransigence that 500 baht is going to be the name of the game, as demanded. I get her over to the door before handing over the money, and then the deep voice really came out when she started swearing at me during her exit.

Fortunately, "she" never returned.

It might have been that night that I found myself with the highlight of my Patong experience, paying 1500 baht for 2 beers and 5 tequila shots, just for a chance to squeeze a girl's ass. She was very drunk at the time I arrived, and very cute. And towards the end of our interaction, she explained that she didn't go with new customers. That I had to come back and be a repeat customer, and become known to her. Through the process of buying large quantities of 220 baht lady drinks, presumably. I never returned.

Back to that gogo bar I mentioned, at Pumpui. Talked to an Australian sitting next to me, and he said he'd taken a girl from there the previous night. 1500 bar fine, 4 k long time. And one assumes, 5+ tequila shots at 240+ with a 500 baht taxi ride. Still, it's the only gogo I've seen thus far. (Bikinis only, no nudity during my visit).

On another afternoon, I stopped by a different massage place, and this had the big open area for massages, but curtains to partition. The discussion of extras came up, and although this provider wasn't ugly, she wasn't cute enough for me to forget overpaying on the first night. Negotiations ensued, and this is where I learned that the hourly massage fee was included (often) in the rate we agreed upon. She wouldn't go below 500 for an HJ or 1000 for a BJ (after accounting for massage fee). I figured she'd break on the HJ as it's still easy money, but didn't. Though now that I relate this story, I realize that the memory is vague after the fact, and as I was negotiating a total rate, maybe I was trying for lower prices than 500/1000. Regardless, nothing happened, and I paid the 400 hourly rate out front for just the massage. Entertaining and educational nonetheless.

One final comment about the conversation girl trend, where the only thing they'll do is pump you for high priced lady drinks instead of organizing for boom boom. At the corner of Ratutit and Bangla there sits a bar with some pretty girls, and I saw one in particular accumulating LINE contacts throughout the day. I don't know if she ever met them, but it was a procession of guys that exchanged details.

Now in Bangkok and getting laid at the usual locations. I don't recommend Patong.

Been to Thailand several times, lived in east asia several times. The goal of a thai women is to take care of her family. If that means they have to get married and relocate to secure the money, so be it. Ideally they would get married and stay in Thailand with a husband who is an ex-pat, but I've seen them move to Europe as well.

My ex-wife is Romanian, and I can say for a personal standpoint that marrying a foreign woman is not a good idea. As soon as they get their green card, they have zero incentive to stay with you and can now focus on sponsoring their family to the new country, finding another foreign man to spoil them, or creating her own new job / career in the new country.

Yes, foreign women are extremely beautiful and as long as you have a decent job and a western passport, will have no problem finding a woman. But as a person who has done it, is not worth it.

Rates are usually 900 THB for the house and then negotiation with the girl.

Standard service is as follows:

900 THB for HJ.

What is the price structure in HKT (patong)?
