The regularl ines suck. Last two times I arrived after 9 pm just behind a couple of planes from France and China. Maybe 2 hours to wait. There has to be a better way, a more efficient way.

Has anyone here ever did a visa on arrival? I wonder how long it will take. I am guessing two hours because of a line ect. It is a shame they make you state the month you will be there. Too bad they can't have a visa open for 3-6 months.
There have been changes to visa laws. Many countries (use google) don't need to get a visa upfront anymore if you stay less than 2 weeks. You just need to show your onward ticket. If you want to stay longer a single entry visa can be obtained on arrival but you need A LETTER from a visa agent (again all on google). Waiting times can be anything from 15 minutes to 1. 5 hours. If you don't have a passport photo immigration will squeeze you for a few extra $. Otherwise, as GG mentions, get 1, 3 6 or 12 months at Vietnamese embassies.

When I apply here in USA, I can apply for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months and single entry or multiple entry visa. I plan ahead cause never know about waiting for visa on arrival there.

All of them. Uber is catching on here. Uber has an app, that's what people use. They have local Vietnamese versions too.
Yes you can buy local SIM cards very easily and cheaply. Bring your phone so they give you correct size sim.

I'm travelling to Cambodia and Vietnam this December and would like to spend a night or two on a secluded beach in a bungalow with a girl. Does anyone here know where a good beach would be to take a girl and also if its better to go through an agency or if there are girls available in nearby cities?
Thanks a lot.
Most agencies are scam. Charging you 5 x what a similar girl would be worth at local rates. The decent beaches eg nha trang, phu quoc don't have large populations with which to draw a companion so you best bet would be to make friends with some girls in HCMC/ Hanoi etc the offer them free food accommodation / holiday in exchange for their companionship. Plus the other thing is why would you risk being stuck with some girl for 2-3 days that you haven't tested compatibility with.

I am considering taking a side trip to maybe Cambodia, Thailand, Mala, ect. Any suggestions. I have been to Bangkok, Pattaya and Chang mai, thought something different would be nice.

Probably the worst time to be mongering as all the WG not from Saigon will be home. Even the local Saigonese WG will be spending a lot of time with family so the only ones still operating are those that want to make last bundle of cash so they can spend it on their family.

And pretty much all of Malaysia except maybe Kuala Lumpur) is skip it and spend more time in places where the girls can spent time chasing me (and my wallet) instead of me spending time chasing them.
As for what my mental state will be when it's over, that will be interesting. On vera, as they say in French. I've been to Asia three times for extended (month long) trips, the last of which involved a month fully invested in Pattaya (which I enjoyed immensely) but I've never before been on one of this length or breadth. It will be interesting!
To Wild Bill.
There is many thing to do in KK not so great for mongering, you can climb the Mt Kinabalu beach here is nice, diving or snorkel and the seafood is great but one week is good enough.
