These places the real price is under 300 k, last year I paid 250 k and this is again confirmed by Viet language forums.

Yes you are right they are damn gorgeous, but if you have mongered in those countries, then don't have too high expectation on the Vietnam mongering scene, especially 9 days in Hanoi will be tough. Here's my take on what was available.

Wandering through the old quarter during the day looking for a massage shop is a waste of time. I enquired at a few and even if they had a cutie at the front, they were just promotion girls and don't do massage. I actually didn't try any of these as the vibe indicated nothing would be available. Happy to be corrected if that's not the case. At night time I did get the moto taxi offering girls etc, so I decided to follow one lady as long as it was walking distance and I was in control of the situation. She said there is only one place in walking distance and it would "all inclusive for 1 M", so off we walk for 5 minutes to what would be like a "hot toc" in Saigon. About 6 decent girls to choose from and 3 skinny, heavily tattooed pimps minding them.

I paid the $1 M and up the stairs we go for our romp. The room upstairs was exactly like I had seen in some places in Saigon, with a massage table separated by a curtain, and around 5 tables in the room altogether. The girl was 22 and started off very friendly with some cuddling and gentle massage. After 15 minutes I started to remove her clothes and that's where things took a turn for the worse. She was asking for another $1 M for a BJ. I decided to cut my loss and get dressed as mr happy wasn't so happy anymore and I didn't know what sort of situation was develop with the skinny dudes. As I got dressed she indicated that she can do BJ without the tip, so off we go again and I eventually get a pretty fine BBBJ to completion. Back downstairs the lady who took me there is waiting and also asks for a tip. I give her $50 K to keep the peace, knowing full well that she probably already been paid $200 k finders fee. As I go to leave the boss indicated I can go back tomorrow for $800 K.

So the next evening I walked back myself, choose another girl and have a much better experience with BBBJ to completion and no further whinging by the girl. In the table a few curtains away another Aussie guy was having a great time getting blown by 2 girls at the same time. I think I heard he tipped them $100 K each at the end and they seemed happy – although no idea how much he paid at the entrance. I saw a few tourists being dropped off there on motorbikes on my way out. The address is 16 Hai Tuong Alley, Ta Hien St according to the business card.

On the way out I spoke with a guy and he told me there is a similar place about 200 m away on the same street (back towards the lake). I did find it and go in and have a look. They wanted $900 K entrance for what seemed like a very similar operation. The address from the business card for that is 20 Hang Muoi. Both places are walking distance from the centre of old quarter.

I just joined the community, but have benefited a lot from reading your posts. So time to give something back. Within 15-30 minutes (the girls are busy, some have regular jobs or study), you will get a message with the name and address of a guest house (nha nghi) or little hotel, normally in a small alley off the main road. You should find it on your map or get help from your taxi / grab driver. Get a room (anywhere from 100-200 k for 2 hours, no need for papers) and text the room number to the girl. Within another 15-30 minutes she should be there and make you happy. Good luck!

Zalo pro: it's a Vietnamese app therefore more likely to find services for locals unlike wechat which is for foreigners.

Zalo con: everyone has it. Unlike Wechat, the search function has a lot more people on it so the search takes a lot longer.

I stand corrected on Zalo as I have never had experience with Zalo and connecting with a working girl. Wechat on the other hand is bait and switch. Girls do not match photos, and person you contacting most of the time is the pimp.

What else do you need? What other app allows you to do more? Each profile shows their distance away as well in both Zalo and We chat Apps. What do you want? Would you like the app to post their exact address? You are comparing the app to an escort website and its not. Its a chat app that just so happens to have some working girls on it. Zalo is used by the majority of Vietnamese people.

However, big difference is that WeChat can translate the conversation for you!

You write your message in English, they can read it in Vietnamese or whatever language they use. I. E. Chinese.

They can respond to you in Vietnamese, and you touch conversation and ask WeChat to translate to English. That beats cutting and pasting to translate in another program.

I basically find Zalo much more difficult to communicate with others.

Yes, I've met people on Zalo, but, with much more effort.

From my personal experience, there are at least 5 X more players to hook up with on WeChat.

I find Zalo to be more chat and friend type hook ups.

My observations are from about 9 months experience in Vietnam and about 3 years in China.

If you are unable have good hunting on WeChat, something is wrong.

You can set up zalo to find only males or females or both in an age range. I find that good enough to find ladies. And, you can get zalo for the mac and windows computers as well as your phone which I find helpful since my fingers are big to type on a phone LOL.

As far as wechat goes, in the South (HCMC), when you sign in and search you will get bombarded with requests. Most are working ladies.

Download WeChat to your phone.

Setup WeChat account.

Go to Discover. People Nearby. Top right 4 dots select females only. Start search.

It will show girls in order of distance from your location.

I lived in Hanoi for a few years when I was single but last time I was there I was not so had to do the sneak-outs.

My last visit was about 5 years ago and I still had a big roster of ex girlfriends who I could text and meet at a mini hotel. They were all married professional women with good jobs but like most Viet women, love a good off the books pounding in their lunch break.
