I am at the Fortuna now. The Boss Bar is asking for 30 US$ entrance fee...even I stay in the hotel...yesterday told them to fuck off.... today my local agent paid and we went in.

Hilton, Sheraton & Sofitel are not GF. However, in the day time it is quite easy to get the girls u to your room provided they are dress well not to attract the security guards attention. During night time you cannot take girls to your room.

I slipped up to Hanoi for a few days for business (usually travel to HCMC only). It seemed funny at first as I could not find any action and ended up asking the taxi driver and guess what, he even said that he was not sure where to go!

I ventured down to the Jazz Club in the Old Quarter and had a few drinks and walked out at about 10:30pm and outside the club was a girl and a guy on a moto. The guy said he would hook me up and I thought wow, finally some action. The girl walked over and told him off and said to me that she could provide me with everything I was looking for. She looked very attractive so I said OK. She first took me back to another bar within 5 minutes walking and said she wanted to have a drink with me first and see a couple of friends so we did just that and her friends were also awesome. Her English was great and then I found out she was a tour guide that picked up the odd guy now and then when business was slow.

So I had a great night with an awesome girl. She then said next time I am in town drop by the Jazz Club late and see if she is hanging around the front looking for a male tourist.

Staying in the Fortuna. Booked the room last minute and there was no availability online so had to call. All they had was a premiere room and it was $195 a night. The room itself is nice. Stylish, big plasma tv, jacuzzi tub. The downstairs Boss club is open at least by 1930 and closes at 0000. Unfortunately they have implemented a $30 minimum bill policy. Once you go inside drinks are pretty pricey. $8 for a long island ice tea. Well whatever, you have to spend at least $30 anyway. I don't particularly care for the layout of the place. A bunch of semi circular couches all in a row and facing the stage. Sit down for a bit and eventually some girls will ask if they can sit with you or mamasan will come over. Mama will explain that it is $30 to have a girl come sit with you. At least you can apply the expense to your $30 minimum. If you agree then she calls over about 12 girls in a line and shines a flashlight in their face so you can get a good look while deciding. Quality was pretty good but I wouldn't say they were models. Looks were consistent across the board, all 7 or 8's. Pick your girl and she'll sit down and wrap herself around you. Some light kissing and petting ensue. Not much conversation, unless you count "how long you stay vietnam, where you from?" Want some nooky? Mamasan told me $70 for 2 hours, one shot or $100 all night. I want like 3 hours and 2 pops. Mama says it's up to the girl, money goes direct to her. Girl not willing to negotiate. I say ok to all night but she won't do that either. I say hey, it's getting close to midnight and then you'll have nothing, take it or leave it. She leaves it. I ask mama to round up another herd of girls, making sure they are willing to do all night first. She whips the flock together in no time and another 12 eager faces are getting the flashlight treatment. I pick a girl, do the petting, we agree to go upstairs all night (which equals until 6am) for $100. I write my room number down for the girl. She goes out the back way, and I pay the tab ($63 for drinks and the girl chat). The $30 fee for Mamasan to have a girl sit with you seems to be a one time expense so you don't have to pay multiple if you don't like the first girl.

Long story short. You pay your tab and go up to your room and a few minutes later the girl knocks on the door. You pay the girl in the room, not at the club.

If you're having trouble getting Mamasan's attention, just grab a girl and ask her to bring Mama over or look for the business dressed middle aged ladies that are carrying clipboards and notebooks. There are several Mamasan's working the club at once.

This is a very encouraging report for Hanoi where availability has been limited. Even so $100 for an allnighter is getting expensive. I am gonna try to link this to the R of D.

I read through the postings, as I have not been to Vietnam yet... but cannot quite put together the overall best place to stay. Will be with a business partner, that does not punt, so would like to be in a good location, where I can easily get out for some fun..

Can anyone advise from the following, the best hotel in terms of location to some good bars, massage shops, etc...?

I will be there on business, so will stay at a nice place (being it is difficult to get a girl in your room at any hotel)

1. GF Hotels and their rates and whether they can be book online.

2. Where to get pussy for ST and LT.

3. Is the Ho chi minh city a better place in terms of pussy than hanoi and if yes then how long it takes to travel to ho chi minh and the mode of travel available.

I have gone thru some of the reports but I would like to know the pick up joints and whether free lancers can be picked if so and which place.

Have dutifully RTFF, but found no leads on any outlets close to the Hanoi airport (away from town, so not very promising I guess). I have a 3 hr layover tomorrow, and might as well make some use of it.... Your comments most welcome.

Firstly I doubt if you will get out the airport without a visa. Secondly the airport is about an hour from town.

What you might find is a Hot Toc or Massage place in one of the nearby villages but that is really hit and miss.

I think that taking a gal on motor-bike outside those hotels while you were staying there was a big risk. You must have been lucky not to get money lost or something.

You were staying at the best hotels in Hanoi (at that time and even until now) but quite ventured yourself. Please be more cautious!

I haven’t been in Hanoi for awhile but between 2003 and 2007 was there a lot on business and usually stayed at the Sofitel Metropole, Hilton Opera, or the Hanoi Horison hotels. A massage with HJ in these hotels was always available for USD 20. I could usually get the girl to take off her top and fondle her breasts during the massage, but they wouldn’t go for anything more. There is a massage/sauna place on the same street as the Hilton that offers HJ for 200,000 VND, but only tried it once since the place wasn’t that clean.

One night outside the Metropole, I asked one of the cycle drivers where I could get a massage, and he took me to a place where I got a combo BBBJ/HJ from a real beauty (said she was from Saigon) that cost me USD 20 to the mamasan, and 200,000 VND to the girl. It was some distance from the hotel, and I don’t remember the part of town. Afterwards, I went drinking to one of the local beer halls with the driver and we ended up getting drunk together. He spoke English well and I tipped him USD 10. It turned out to be a good investment since he hooked me up with several young women over the next week for ST sessions, and I always paid USD 20 to the girls. I was staying at the Metropole and always brought them in through the bar, and never had any problem. However, they all insisted on ST and would never spend the night.

Another option is to just hang out in front of the Opera and within minutes a girl on a moto will approach you with an offer. Late afternoon, evening seemed to be the best times. They vary in looks, so it pays to be patient. I took (or they snagged me) several this way, and they always took me to a ST hotel somewhere in town (usually across the bridge) where I ended up paying USD 20 for the room and USD 20 for the girl. I’m sure they also got a cut of the room rate, but the services always included BBBJ/CIM and multiple position sex, so I never had any complaints.
