After I skipped the Pham Van Dong area I checked for alternatives. Checked out the 2 major hotels mentioned in many reports, selected F*a, took a room, about 70 $. Since I am not at all a bar type of person, I looked out for a different way of getting a nice service. Went to the spa and enjoyed the facilities there. After that, I asked for a massage service in my room and yes, they provide, about VN 750 k. Shortly after I returned to my room, the lady knocked at the door and was ready to provide me with a nice massage and extra service, which had to be negotiated with her. I agreed on VN 2 Mio, which I think is the actual going price on the high level segment and that she was.

She gave me an outstanding service, which exceeded my expectations.

Hanging around in Hanoi recently, I checked out the Pham Van Dong street, which had been mentioned in a few reports.

I went to the place twice, I have to admit, I found none of the house-numbers which were mentioned nor any working girls waiting for any one. I have the impression, this area is dead, maybe due to new constructions going on or have been planned and many of the house numbers mentioned do not exist anymore. But, maybe I am too stupid to find the places.

Not giving up, I ended up on the second visit with one girl. Or should I better say woman in the mid 30's, who was willing and eager to give me a full job. We agreed on 500 and she started business, however, she wanted to reduce it to a HJ. I complained, so she started to give me a BJ, which again was not, what we agreed upon. Eventually, for having full service, she said, we would have to go to a small hotel, because it was too dangerous at her place. So we went. Now she was ready for full job and. In fact. Summarizing: To me, this area is not worthwhile to go.

The woman, not a professional but rather a woman taking each opportunity she got, was poor standard, passive, just let you satisfy yourself. Not really what I like. Looks 4/10, body 6/10, GFE zero, service 2/10. WIR: never again.

I do not recommend Pham Van Dong at all. There are better options in HN. More to come.
