A little tentatively, I finally decided to give one of the CL advertisers a shot. I contacted Trang (early / mid 20's, usually 3-4 photos in ad) some time back and have stayed in touch via Skype and sms since then. Finally the planets aligned and I was able to see her this week.

It looks like Athena1's report is accurate. I went for a scouting mission here yesterday evening. There were only a few places still open and only 1 or 2 still with signage out to boot.

Similar report. Went down today only to discover maybe two places with signage, down nearer the Lac Long Quan end. Shame really.

There's a TQ on LLQ towards Au Co that I am meaning to test out. Shall do so this weekend and report back.

Haven't seen any recent evidence of PVD homes being open either. Sure is going quiet.

So a recent discovery for me and an interesting resource is a smartphone app called Zalo. It is best described as a location based social network / chat platform. All the interface is in Vietnamese, but with a little help from Google Translate you will have it set-up pretty quickly. You upload a head shot and then away you go. It lets you see who is near you in your chosen gender and age bracket. You can see the persons' photos and updates, depending on their settings. You can then send them messages and start a conversation or sit back and wait for them to message you.

I've only had this running for a month or so but have already had some good successes from it. I have had girls message me straight out offering sex for money. I tried out a couple and had a good time. I've also ended up getting hooked up with a housewife who initially offered to come and help clean my place in return for practicing her English and now is letting me regularly DATY and have fantastic sex, for free. Although I am going to give some gifts since I like her.

I think this is a great resource if you are able to have this on your phone, don't mind having your face out there and are prepared to spend a little bit of time working on the girls.

It's not primarily a hook-up app so you need to take the time with conversations to see if they are going to lead anywhere. My bored housewife was a stroke of luck. I really did need someone to help clean my place, otherwise I would probably have turned her away.

Unfortnately looks like the good old days of 200 k BJs in this ST are coming to an end. Drove past today and 50-60 % of the places were closed and many of the remainder had the signs removed. Maybe because north Tulium district has just been upgraded to an inner city district they no longer allow such cheap entertainment. Ngo 52, To Ngoc Van: I been there twice in the past. Once around 3 years ago, I had really great fun with a average level girl there. That time the enter was 500 K + tip 200 K / shot. I visited the place once again last year October. The enter ticket was 1 million and the girl asking for 1 million tip for one shot. I moved the tip down to 500 K, and the service was super starfish, I never visited the place again.

The place not really high, the rooms are dirty. The staff not friendly at all. The only cool thing when you go up to the second floor, 8-10 girl line up and you can choose. The quality also not really cool all the girls are 5/10 - 7/10. The price is almost enough for Fortuna, so definitely not recommended.

If anyone have more fresh and better experience about the place please share!

I believe you are referring to the infamous Bich Nhung which is a working girl house disguised as a nha nghi and is still opened. It was mentioned several times on this forum in 2011 but not discussed since. I have gone past it several times but never went inside. It seems like the owner tries to play it safe as they completely board up the entrances sometimes, perhaps when they receive tips of impending raids. But other times it seems to be business as usual.

I don't have the address but you cannot miss it as it has a huge Bich Nhung sign at the front. If you don't see the sign it's probably because it's hidden due to a raid and you'll have to go back later.

I got off the plane, checked into the Lake Side Hotel. 2 beautiful, little local girls behind the counter. Just my spec. Little spinners and cute. Are these a good omen for things to come? I had hopes!

I wanted to post an update and review of the Boss KTV in the basement of the Fortuna Hotel. I think most people on this forum know about this place-beautiful women, nice atmosphere, pretty high ticket price. I've always liked it, and found it worth the money spent, for the most part, but I made a trip back a few weeks ago, and learned that they have a few new rules in place for customers, most of which are pretty annoying.

I think someone mentioned that now, if you aren't staying at the hotel, you need to have your passport on you to book a room. I don't know when this was first implemented, but it's definitely true. If you don't have a room booked at the hotel, make sure you bring your passport with you, lest you go home alone! There's also a new rule that even if you go as a single guest, and plan to have a girl sit with you, you still need to spend at least 660,000VND (I think, or around that much) on drinks. This was the worst for me, because I don't want to buy a bottle, and I don't drink all that much when I go out, so it's really just them charging even more to go there, with nothing in return.

In short, it's still a great place to go and have a fun night with a beautiful woman, but these new rules are annoying, making it more expensive than before, and I'm not sure if I'll go back any time soon. I've never been to the Hanoi Hotel KTV, but maybe it's time I gave that one a try, to see if it's any better. Hope this helps you guys.

Yes, this has been helpful. Many thanks indeed for the heads-up. I've been frequenting the Boss Club for a number of years and will be there again shortly. It will be my first time there with these new rules in place. The first rule (bringing a passport) won't apply to me, since I usually book a room there anyway, regardless. But the second rule is bothersome. In years gone by, I could get away with ordering something inexpensive like for $5 or less, and the girl orders her drink at $10 or whatever. This new rule brings the total barfine to something like $60, or $70 if you include the mamasan tip. And that's before any private action upstairs.

I'm tempted to cut back on the number of days I stay at Fortuna, in order to allow me to try Hanoi hotel nightclub instead. By the way, did you make it over to Hanoi hotel in the end? Would be good to know your thoughts on the KTV nightclub there before I book my accommodation.
