So I went for a ride down PVD again and for the third straight week all the places there were locked up from the outside and now some of them have signs on. Can't read what the signs say but guess it's something like "for rent". So I'm sad to say it really looks like the girls won't be coming back, and there are now only one maybe two places open on NHT.

Gutted as PVD was the ideal place for a quick, cheap, guaranteed fuck. Tam quats offer you the best and worst of Hanoi P 2 P. Most are dirty unfriendly places where young not nice girls suck you off lying on a bed and spend most of the time rubbing you with wet wipes and spitting noisily into a basin or tissue. Also some are genuine massage places for poor people do you get nothing. But, they are unregulated and unpredictable and often have girls for a very short time, which means anything can happen in there, and occasionally you have an amazing erotic encounter. I kind of knew going into this that it was going to be a rip-off, but I wanted to give it a shot. I'm a fan of VIP massages and I make decent money working with my company, so I figured I would try it out and report back.

So the Fortuna Spa. It has a fancier name I think but I forget what it is. It's at the Fortuna Hotel on Lang Ha street. The hotel is more famous for its nightclub, and after attending the spa, I can say rightfully so.

The VIP package for 90 minutes is 1.8m dong. Kind of crazy expensive. I mean, the spa is really really nice, very well appointed, clean, professional, and everything, but 1.8 is three times the price of even the most expensive VIP spas in Hanoi, I think. And in the end, the services aren't worth that much more. For example, Oasis, across the street, is maybe 550k for 90 minutes in the VIP room, with a 500k tip if you're being really generous. You still haven't even covered your entry ticket at the Fortuna for that price.

Anyway, this isn't an Oasis review, so back to Fortuna. My girl was very cute and nice, and the massage was excellent. We chatted (in Vietnamese, I don't think she can speak English) for a long time, and the whole experience was very relaxing. At the end of the massage, she wanted 1m for an HJ. Which we all know is just out of the park expensive. She said it was because girls in other spas would have 2-3 customers a day, but she was lucky if she had even one. And while I can sympathize with that a little bit, it still doesn't take away the sting of feeling really taken for a ride. I didn't even ask about other services because it didn't really even feel like they were on offer.

I definitely wouldn't return, but I don't think the spa is really targeting a local crowd. With those prices, I think they just bank on international travelers and businessmen. Though I think I was the only person there on the afternoon I went, so it can't be too busy.

Final points: cute girl, very clean VIP rooms, very high-end feel to the whole place, but you pay for it. Service negotiation was tiring, and I'm too old to deal with that, but I don't really blame the girl in this instance. I wouldn't return or recommend, even though I had a great massage, it's just too expensive. Oasis, Kingston, Zeus, and Sakura are all better VIP spas for a fraction of the price.

I haven't seen anything in the news, which is unusual given all the high profile HCMC busts that have been printed recently. 200 Yen Phu does not exist as far as I can tell. I walked that block twice, once during the day and once at night, and didn't find anything remotely resembling it.

200 Yen Phu certainly exists, as of my visit there just last week. Was easy to find, as long as you know that Yen Phu is the smaller street that traces along Westlake (and it's not the bigger street above it with lots of massage / karaoke places. On the map, this bigger street might be mistake for Yen Phu). Anyways, there's a big sign advertising the sauna / massage place (also saying "200 Yen Phu" on the sign) on the smaller street and it's a standard massage place, with HJ. I tried for FS but was denied. My first visit to Vietnam, FWIW. I had better luck in Ha Long Bay actually.

That's an interesting question! There might be a lot of demand for it, but I'm sure though that most foreigner ladies are teaching English in Hanoi. Because if they are in the massage business, they would make a lot more in their home country. I would love to be proven wrong though!

Unless you mean Chinese, Japanese, Korean, then of course you can find some in Hanoi.

But, I would be very interested in hearing from a local Vietnamese about some good unknown places to go to have some fun. The kind of places where they've never had a foreigner come in before. I like feeling special LOL.

If you want to look for the better service for the local guys, don't go to any "tam quat" spot (this is in my opinion) because it is low quality service as well as price. For me I go to some place like Osis (over the fortuna lang ha st).
