ATM's usually only give 2-5 mil VND / trip and charge +3 $ or so. Depends on your bank. Hard to find an AMEX. Only VISA or MC. Break large bills first when possible to have smaller bills and a fatter wallet.

Cash is king. You can also withdraw there but if you could plan ahead and get the right amount before it would help.
