OK, so just got done my first night in HCMC and staying right next to walking street. Got to say, not overly impressed with the talent so far. Spent most of my night on walking street and surrounding streets, just not really much to write home about for hot girls like Bangkok or Angeles. Am I missing something here. Any suggestions on where to go? Got to admit I did get a massage and hand job, but the girls in the hostess bars are not much to write home about. Any suggestions would be so helpful. Thank you.

Talent usually resides at more expensive places but even ugly as fuck ones go there and get lucky. I seriously start to think that whatever ugly piece of meat a woman is, can make a living here.

Can pay for the visa on arrival at the airport with a credit card or do I need cash. I never carry local cash into a country anymore. So much easier just to get it from an ATM.

I was told by the agency I got my letter for VOA to have cash. I think $135.00. There's also an upsale at the airport to expedite and reduce the wait. Expensive!

I will apply for a 3-moth VOA.

Will fly in / out via HCMC, but want to do one trip to BKK. AFAIK, this would need a new visa, to enter VN again, in case I only had 3-months, single entry.

However, as a Dutch citizen, may I simply use the visa exemption to catch my return flight, assuming, I re-enter VN few days before departure from HCMC to NL, back home?

I can not answer the question about the visa exemption.

I suggest get a year Visa vice the three month one. Cost the same. I got mine online via and outfit in Hanoi. Good service as well.

You are definitely missing out. Vietnamese women are among the most beautiful in South East Asia. The Vietnamese characters are reserved and you will never find anything like Bangkok. But keep looking, when you find it, you will be rewarded. In general I find VNese women are better in looks, in conversation, and in bed. By far. Compared to others. The key is that they must like you. Money alone usually is not enough. You may have to invest some time and efforts. If they don't like you, you will not get the best service (star fish). In this country YMMV is definitely the norm.

Thank you. I'm a decent looking guy and had the typical massage or hostess yank on me. I just didn't find any of them attractive on walking street. Ventured out today and saw some massage shops with some decent window candy. Think my mind was so focused on walking street being the only spot to be. Might go to apo tonight just to take a look. But dam its hot out here.

1) It varies. Could be anywhere from 1 am to noon next day. You must get her to agree to specific time, no automatic assumption.

2) If you book room or 2, no charge (when in VN always book room for 2 persons, cost usually the same as single). If you book room for 1, there may be additional charge (expensive).

Damn, I already booked for 3 nights for 1 (minor discount due to breakfast). Should have asked here before I booked. I just sent my hotel if I can make a modification when I check in to add an additional guest for my stay. We'll see.

1) It varies. Could be anywhere from 1 am to noon next day. You must get her to agree to specific time, no automatic assumption.

2) If you book room or 2, no charge (when in VN always book room for 2 persons, cost usually the same as single). If you book room for 1, there may be additional charge (expensive).

OK, so there are actually 2 'walking streets' -- Bui Vien (the backpackers area, nowadays sort of seedy Khao San Rd mixed with Patong vibe maybe) and the other is Nguyen Hue (family time, but adjacent to the area with the proper hostess bars, where the hotter women are -- just don't expect to bar fine them). I assume you meant option A, correct?

Other than that, the main thing you're missing is that VNese women are not to be confused with Thais or pinays (unfortunately). They usually require old-school wooing. RTFF, you can cover the last year of good info in about an hour!

Just use line and turn on "people nearby" when you are there. You will get smothered in friend requests, just use my selfie rule to determine if it is the boss your talking to or the actual girl. I would ask for a selfie with a eye winking. You can't fake that.

I spent about 2 weeks in HCM and had a great time. Stayed just up from the Ben Thanh market. First in the Alagon Zen and then in the Princess Saigon. Both hotels were fine with guests as long as they were out by 9 pm, no guest fees. Both places also called the room to ask if they could come up and called back when they were leaving. Pretty much like Thailand or Costa Rica. I used LINE to meet the girls and had one not so great experience. We agreed on $40 before hand and when the girl showed up, I couldn't tell if it was the same girl or one that looked like her. Either way she was cute but I just wasn't sure. Anyway, after the deal was done she wanted another $20 for the taxi. We went back and forth for a while but finally while pulling out the money I commented that I would be here for a couple of weeks and normally would have a girl every day. Now that I feel ripped off I won't get any more girls from her (her boss really). She didn't care and said all the girls were crooks so it didn't matter, where's my $20! Very short sighted in my opinion..

Answer: I asked VN-Consulate, and they answered, YES, I can re-enter under visa exemption.

In the last session I picked the massage and happy ending option and she was so amazing I should have done that the whole time. On my last day I pretty much gave her all the cash I had left and my Bluetooth speaker that she fancied.

All in all it was a great trip!
