I will be in HCM next week for my 1st time in Vietnam.

I would love to do a ffm as I've never had one, I have been reading through various threads and getting distracted all over the place.

Bear in mind that I speak no Vietnamese. Nothing.

Is my best bet to find a hottoc and try to get the girls number & ask if she has a friend?

I would recommend Thailand definitely for you December FS trip. Once in your life you should check out Vietnam though. The woman's beauty there is really impressive. In Vietnam when I was in district 5 there will be guys on the street that will ask you if you want a girl. The guy will call different girls and you can choose. The guy will ask for 1 million. I had one guy do this with me. I tried to talk him down but he says look I have to pay hotel, the girl and then money for me. He told me he could have have a girl there is 10 minutes. Now if I don't like the girl he would call another one but if he calls 4 different girls. I am guessing it could be 40 minutes of waiting. The voice in the back of my head told me don't do it so I did not.

With touts and short time hotels. Don't give them all the money to split up. Because once you give him the money he spits it with the girl and he is gone. 1. The hot toc literally next door to my hotel looks like a garage. I walk in and 3 guys walk up to me as say massage? I say yes. OK so just got back from 5 days in vn and here are my experiences.

I eventually found FJ places in D7. Hung Gia and surrounding streets. They are SPA places and you see the girls sitting in the lounges.

On many discussion boards guys are complaining that girls are getting greedy and are asking for too much nowadays. I have to disagree. I arrived in early 2007 and during that first year took at least 70 different FL home from places like Apo. (aaahhh, the first year, I am sure many of you have fond memories as well) The going rate was 1 Million LT. Money was negotiated upfront only 50% of the time and though they would sometimes ask for more, it was always agreed to be 1 Mil. If it was not discussed, 1 Mil. Was always accepted without a problem the next morning. At the time there were very little complaints about the girls asking 1 mil.

Fast forward to 2014 and girls at the same places now ask 2 or even 3 Mil. (that is only the asking price, and yes they are a bit more aggressive in that respect now) BUT, they still will go with you in places like Apo for 1.5 to 2 Mil LT without any problem. Yes, if you are fat and over 60 they might not, but I guess that is only fair.

Vietnams official inflation rate for this period was:

2008 24%.

2009 7%.

2010 12%.

2011 19%.

2012 9%.

2013 6%.

When we compound these numbers, 1 Million in 2007 is worth actually 2,040,000 today. In other words, the girls I take out today are cheaper than the ones I was banging in 2007!

Don't get me wrong, I am all against guys on holiday throwing big money around as it makes my hobby whilst living here more expensive. But most of the price rises that we have seen in recent years are not because of the occasional tourist paying $300 for a FL, it is just simple inflation, nothing more.

Just want add some more calculations. 7 years ago the USD-VND rate was 16000, todays it's 21300.1 M at 62 USD vs today 2 M at 94 USD. So it's 6,1 % increase pr year in USD.

Stay in Thailand. At least there you know what's on the menu instead of fooling around asking if this or that is possible. The price differential is not that much now and Thai service is fantastic.

The general feeling in Saigon is police are cracking down and its not so easy anymore. I've talked to a lot of locals and they say its tough now and not so in the open anymore.
