Cong Hoa in Tan Binh District, 23-9 Park in District 1, Linh Xuan Bypass in Thu Duc District and An Suong T-Road in District 12.

Have also seen prostitutes publicly waving down passers-by.

De Tham 212, District 1, One of Saigon's most popular night spots, "The Crazy Buffalo" offers outdoor open air seating at one of the busiest intersections in the city. This bar is open 24/7. You can find prostitutes here around 3 am.

Yes I agree there is no such thing as a free lunch. I suggest what you do is hire a bike and ride around looking for these places, avoid paying 100 usd ST, and 500 k for HJ and 50 usd for bjs, as locals pay 40 usd for St, 10 usd for HJ and 15 usd for BJ. When you have spent your holiday looking for these places. Then next time come back and exchange with info with someone who also knows something, as ID doubt you'd be willing to give it out for nothing given the time and effort you made. As its most likely after sharing you will come back only to find out that your hard earnt discovery has been spoilt both in price and in the girls attitude. That being said if you so worried about commissions and buy drinks for "guides" then its best you DIY.

Look Thur. My post history to see what local pricing should be. The issue is finding places then getting a personal recommendation to get local pricing. Ie if yuo go alone you will be overcharged but if you go with a regular / local person, then next time you will get charged local prices.

I was there a year ago, girls at the hostess bars asking 100 usd for short time. I can't recall right now the name of the bar, think it was along Dhong Khoi but there were tuk tuk drivers waiting around offering girls. I talked one down to 30 from 50 and off we went, around 5 minute ride from there. There was a girl on the street, tall and slim with nice legs but she was wearing a face mask so I couldn't tell from there if she was hot or not. Reluctantly I accepted but asked to lower the price to 25. The guy agreed and signaled the girl who got on a tuk 2 x and we went to a 3 dollar short time hotel 2 minutes from where we picked her up. Service was good, no rush, good BBBJ and 2nd shot for an additional 5 usd and the girl was quite a looker once the face mask came off.

I didn't get a chance to repeat the experience back then but I'll be going back to HCM soon and I'd like to know if I can narrow down where I might have been taken. I know there are lots of moto pimps around the city, as a single male walking around town you can't walk 10 m in some areas without being approached by someone offering a girl. Are those people all offering to take you to the same place or are there many different places they can take you around town, any chance I might be able to find these places myself?

I was in both Saigon and Hanoi last September. The moto drivers have become even more difficult and more treacherous than ever. I would not use them. There is a new competitor in town and that's Uber (only available in big cities like SG and HN with the Nang upcoming). They are reasonable and I think they are much safer than moto. Typical ride around D1 cost me 2-3 USD / ride. If you have a smart phone, I highly recommend Uber. I especially like the fact that you don't have to negotiate and don't have to fiddle with cash (they also accept cash if that's what you prefer).

Some of the Uber drivers have connection to high class P4 P. One night I asked U-driver randomly for action and he took me to a back street hotel on LTHG street, near Ky Con street. The girl was waiting in the lobby as I arrived. The hotel was typical hourly dig and cost 100 k / HR (I paid 150 k for a bit over 1 HR). The girl was typical young and slim from the south-west VN, light skin and shy, overall about 8 on my scale. Negotiated priced was 1 M / HR (I balked at 3 M overnight). Sorry I did not keep the contact.
