You can also stay at Ho Sen on 4 Thi Sach. Which happens to be right next to Apocolypse, where all the girls are. You want action, walk around there and someone will approach you. The Park Hyatt is definitely not GF - my understanding is that they will not even let you buy an extra room for the gal.

There are ST hotels but security is a potential issue. My suggestioin is that you take a rooting room at one of the cheap hotels on Mac Thi Boui or Dong Do. A cheap small room with a bed and bathroom will be about US$20.

Or give the Park Hyatt a miss and stay in one of the GF hotels. Balcony room for $30 plus.

Keep your eyes open as you walk the streets. Smile at them and say hello. You can also try the bars on Hai Bai Trung, Cao Ba Quat and Mac Thi Boui. Also Bar29 on Dong Khoi. Keep a hand on your wallet.

About VND800,000 for ST and VND 1,000,000 for LT plus whatever you do for a room. But you will have to negotiate.

As far as massage parlors go, I find them a total waste. Not just the fact that you can't pick the girl, and you get a room with a window in the door to protect against hanky panky, often not even walls, but a curtained-off room like in a hospital where anyone nearby can hear your every gasp, but also the fact that the girls are usually (in my admittedly very limited experience) tiny girls, maybe the profession requires tiny girls because they can walk on your back without killing you.

Far better to go to most any hot toc. As soon as they see a westerner they almost always say "Massage?" But in a hot toc, you can see and choose the girl. Lots of pretty girls in hot tocs. The hardest part is trying to look them over from outside while they are all staring and smiling at you and pressuring you to come in, and everyone passing by outside is staring at you, fully aware of what you're up to.

I just finished a week in HCM while setting up a brokerage account and though very skeptical, if not downright cynical when I first arrived based on my previous trip to HCM, I left there very satisfied, if not blissfully satiated. Of the myriad encounters my best was a threesome with a woman whom I initially turned down based on rate she quoted for ST - $50 USD - (+ mini hotel of $20 for 2 hr) as it was predicated upon a 40% cut due the mamasan. Two days later I phoned her before work, she agreed to meet but insisted on $30 for the 4 hours I wanted, when I pointed out that the mamasan was not involved she offered to include her cousin who was equally busty for the same price.

I rented a room on Pham Ngu Lao at a rate of $7/night since my hotel - the new May Hotel - would not allow guests, it was clean, comfortable, and convenient. I explained upon check-in that I would have 2 "friends" visiting me shortly for several hours and confirmed that was ok.

When my "friends" arrived it raised a few eyebrows but they honored their word. They were both very busty yet slim and trim otherwise. They initially promised 3 pops in 3 hours, but by the time I experienced 2 the girls were showing signs of fatigue.....Of course when the time came to pay - I tipped an extra $10 - they insisted they had meant $30/each. Needless to say I was very blunt and firm that I would not buy into their charade. They quickly capitulated, I think largely out of fatigue, took the money and left;
Overall it was very satisfying experience.

My others included a very sexy girl with a lithe body who for the price of two t-shirts I bought ($15) her at boutique entertained me for 3 hours back at my hotel with amazing intensity. The last experience was a motogirl the last night who probably was the most physical, passionate, and playful of the lot, and to the end was very non-committal about payment. She left with a nice tip if for nothing else the attitude and aptitude she displayed even when no compensation had been guaranteed.

Lastly, I will be going back to HCM in the next few weeks and will follow up on several "invitations" I received from professional women (non SW) who will are willing to fulfill the role of LT girlfriend - gratis. In fact, I've already been approached on two different occassions by casual associates who let it be know that if I was willing to "marry" a local girl their families would pay me upwards of $40,000 US to get them to theUS, obtain a greencard, file for divorce, and return.

Though I'm 40, and still single, that proposition holds little appeal, the brokerage account will be worth far more with far fewer strings attached.

Like Wendella says U2 is now bar 29 situated on Dong Khoi diagonally opposite the Grand Hotel. Other bars in centre of D1 are on Dong Do, Hai Bai Trung and Mac Thi Boui - all an easy walk from the Caravelle.

for pro you want Hai Ba Trung near the river, many in that area. Can't miss the places, just walk around, you'll see it. For semi, go to the discos I guess. Much tougher to crack that though, esp as a newbie.

Givral is a chain of coffee shop /restaurants. One is on the corner opposite Opera and the Continental Hotel and the other is under the Palace Hotel on Nguyen Hue. The one at the Palace gets a lot of nice corporate style ladies in there.
