Sorry for the late post. I went to Angeles City and Kuala Lumpur after HCMC, had so much fun that I did not have time to post, then got really busy with work after I returned home to USA. Anyway, I also found two money changers on De Tham Ave just north of Bui Vien Ave in the Pham Ngu Lao area.

There are a few Money charger at HBT near the Caravelle hotel and near the post office that I find one have the best rate, you can change at the airport I change 20 usd at the airport first for taxi.

I can only think of Gossip inside the Dai Nam hotel. High end, model type girls. Cannot vouch for services offered.

I would advise using the Agoda maps and find Apocalypse Now nightclub and then get a hotel next door. There are over 20 hotels in a 1 block radius. Over 50 hotels in 2 blocks. Plenty of pros available for ST there.

If you insists on 4 and 5 stars there's even a Sheraton about 2 minutes away. That area around Dong Koi is quite cool, upscale with a good vibe if you can afford it. Even some lady bars around there, and nice dinning too.

I have to visit HCMC next month and I wonder is there any Hotel in HCMC like the Fortuna Hotel in Hanoi? What I looking for is hotel bar or night club full with girls who can go back with you to your hotel room for ST / LT. I read 10-20 pages of the HCMC forum but can't find anything like the Fortuna or Hanoi hotel offer in Hanoi.

I just arrived in Saigon, and had the same question.

Scoped out a few today - 2 are quite nice but insanely expensive. California which is around 28 LE Lai near the center.

And Vincharm (or something like that. You can likely find it with that name on the internet), which is in a mall close to the opera house.

That second one in particular looked beautiful.

But they both want on the order of $20+ just for a day. Insane for here.

I found a third, called The Hoi Vien, at 17 Pham Viet Chanh. Opposite end of the spectrum:

Only $1. 50 for the day (30,000 dong), but was small, run down, and machines actually looked on the verge of dangerous.

I'll keep looking. Amazed that no one's been able to direct me yet to something decent and reasonable.

Maybe there's a biz opportunity!

I arrived in HCMC today. I need to change USD to Duong. I walked all over Pham Ngu Lao and the city center (Ben Thanh Market-Rex Hotel-Intercontinental area) but could not find a single money changer like in Singapore or Angeles City. Where are they? I want to get a good exchange rate.

I asked my hotel. Guess what they told me? I can change with them. Yeah, right.

Please tell me where to go and what is a good rate. I am very low on Duongs. Thanks.

It does sound like a business opportunity! My friends set one up in the Philippines even with all the corruption. Thanks for the info. Keep me posted if you find anything decent.
