I'm currently in town and must say the nightlife seems kinda lame and the I'm kinda disappointed as I'd heard that Vietnamese girls were the most attractive of the Asians to me that has to go with the Koreans. I'm glad I have my Thai girlfriend with me so I don't have to worry about finding a chick. I heard Apocalypse now bar had close and check there is a new one but the night I tried to go it was closed so not sure if it's open.

Idk why people are talking so bad about HCMC as a mongering destination. I've been with probably over 2000 girls in my life and one of the hottest ones was in a massage parlor just off Bui Vien Walking Street. This was in August 2022.

Any time of day you can go get a "haircut" and you won't have to look long before you find a girl that's at least passable for quick fun.

I know this is the Vietnam / HCM board, but while there's a discussion of where in the world is the best mongering going on: I'm two years living in Thailand now. Had a civilian Brazilian girlfriend in the US for just under three years, but never mongered there. Been to several South American countries as well as the Philippines for mongering but again, haven't done the Brazil P4 P scene.

Couple things before I get to the main point:

1) The Brazilian big but thing is real. The girls all want one, and the Brazilian guys aren't interested in them if they aint got one.

2) Brazil (civilian) chicks are either complete freaks in the sack, or very vanilla. Mostly the latter. Not starfish dead, just vanilla. They'll jump in the sack quick enough and as often as you'd like, but it's usually straight to missionary and that's it.

3) Philippine women age terribly. Seriously, the average 45 year old Thai puts 30 year old Philippinas to shame. Even over 25 it's pretty slim pickins' with the Pinays. (And the Phils food is horrendous compared to Thailand. I lost weight there from avoiding / eating as little as I could of the drek they call food there.).

Anyway, to the bit about Vietnam that caught my attention:

Viet girls tend to like sticking tight in their circle of friends and don't like strangers, so I've always befriended the males in the groups first and thru them I'the be able to get into the circle.

This is EXACTLY how it works best in Thailand too. Awesome advice. Perfect. If you're just there (here) to get laid, RTFF and open up your wallet. But if you're looking for a quality girl for a real relationship, make friends with the guys. They'll hook you up. You won't even have to ask them.

Wow, thanks for all the info! Will definitely check out SMF as I'll be headed to HCM soon as well as other parts of VN. Did you bring any girls back to your AirBnB and if you did, did they stick around till the morning to give you another round?

My experience is that dating in Vietnam was extremely difficult unless you have a LOT of time. You'll literally get 1000's of messages from ladyboys and bargirls and maybe get back 1 or 2 from a real girl. Then the language barrier becomes a real problem. Don't even bother trying to meet girls on the street, they won't talk to foreigners, other than the fewest words possible. I've had a lot of luck in Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. Vietnam is dead last.

I am fairly certain that there must be some amazing places that wealthy Vietnamese men visit in HCM that are off the radar to foreigners, but I did my best to uncover all of my options and left disappointed. Based on all of my research and tapping into all of my resources of what is available, I would not return to Vietnam. Based on what I saw, not many Americans, Brits or Aussies visit HCM.

Vietnamese are a bit more reserved type of people, thus the party scene are somewhat tame compared to other places. Passion plays are not welcome in public, but in private, the Vietnamese ladies are second to none. In my experience, the best encounters are of two types:

1. Managed workers: they are most likely on some websites, the sites change name often, but RTFF you will find some updates. They are fairly easy to use (use Google translate). If you have some language skill and willing to travel, you will find more. In the North, travel to Do-Son near Hai-Phong. It is a whole industry over there. Each house has a number of girls in residence. Girls are young and pretty, and price is universal. Yes, one price, all the houses agree on a price and it is public. In the South, travel to Vung-Tau, just about every other massage is either FS or happy ending. In HCM city, hotel in the 2-star and 3-star range will let you bring guest. Don't worry about the papers, the girls will do it themselves. Most likely they know the front desk people very well. Hotel 4-stars and above will be more hassle with girls (high ranking officials and their families stay there). In many cases, if you make friend with the front desk or the security guards, they can call the girl for you (yes, they will have a bit mark up on price, but you save the hassle). If you can get them to call the girl for you, the girl will knock on your door and you typically have the right of refusal (keep the girl outside the door, if you let her in, she can ask for taxi fee if you end up with refusal).

2. FL. You have to be willing to invest some time and efforts, they range from high maintenance to completely free.

I prefer the second type and now only use type 1 when my type 2 are not available. I have developed some LTR with some middle ages (I prefer mature type, they are a lot less drama and appreciate their partners, either money or just small gifts). My hobby expenses in Vietnam has been the lowest by far (compared to other places in my hobby past such as Dubai, Thailand, USA, etc.). Most of my LTR in Vietnam now are almost free. I do pay for tours, foods, tickets, etc. When they travel with me, and some occasional small gifts.

Sorry that you did not have the full experience in Vietnam. I am posting my answer here hoping the next visitor will have better luck.

I have visited both recently. I would say that both are great. Probably to two best destinations in the world currently. Highest-end club in Brazil is Scandallo. The highest-end clubs in Pattaya are on Walking Street (Pinups, XS, Palace, etc). How do they compare, not factoring price into the equation (which is probably roughly the same)?

- Girl appearance: If you are into shapelier girls, you'll prefer Scandallo for sure. Scandallo has some spinners, and even some ethnic-Japanese girls. But most of them are much bigger than the spinners on Walking Street. Walking Street is 100% spinners. If you are not into spinners, stick to Brazil.

- Girl Performance: Brazilian girls are consistently good, often great. The WS girls can be hit or miss. Often will get better performance from girls from Windmill, etc.

- Venues: Hanging around Scandallo between 8 and 10 pm while waiting for the bulk of the girls to arrive can be boring, especially if you are by yourself. Walking Street with its naked, topless, and hands-on agogos is paradise. Pattaya is not only about the bedroom. It is also about getting teased in the clubs.

- Environment: Sao Paulo is a big city and can be dangerous particularly in the evening. Need to take Ubers all the time to get around. Pattaya is a very safe resort, with lots of fun stuff to look at on the streets. Thai food is amazing. In Sao Paulo, when I am not at Scandallo, I pretty much stay in my hotel room. In Pattaya, when not on WS in the evenings, I am out on the streets walking about, getting a massage, visiting Sanctuary of Truth, strolling Soi 6, eating Thai food or a great burger. Very relaxing place.

But getting back to Vietnam, I am very attracted to them. It is really too bad that the scene has dried up there.

I live in Philippines and visited Thailand many times. I have to agree on Brazil. An example. I was alone lunchtime in very busy self service restaurant in Rio business district. Two very attractive secretaries sat opposite me. Unbelievablely they went to get their food and left their handbags with me (When they came back with their food I asked them about that and they said I looked like a 'good' man. Things went naturally from there. Of course this was a one off, but it created a big impression on me. Yes, language is an issue but one can use that to one's advantage.

I also found making contact easy in Argentina, especially in the cafes in the business district.

I was there in January and had wildly different experiences. Best advice I can give is go to singlemanforum, guys post on there far more frequently about Vietnan, I'the say on a daily basis. RTFF their forum, that's where I got most of my information. They have step-by-step guides, tell you what to expect and how to find certain places. Some of the discussions in that forum degrade into a pissing contest of who has a bigger dick, ignore all that shit and keep scrolling to read info from guys that actually contribute to the thread. Get the Grab app to get around, saves on any translation issues with transportation, and its super cheap. Keep in mind these are my experiences, not trying to disrespect anyone or make them look dumb. Not trying to tell you how to do you or dick police you, but just some things that might help. Do some research and learn about their culture, I've found some girls find it fun to teach the foreigner something new. Even though I'the use the same line with other girls, makes them feel special. As always YMMV, and take everything I say with a grain of salt and as a guide, not gospel.

Hotel: Don't bother with hotels, just get an AirBnB. If you get a hotel, then don't get a 5 star, they have a reputation to uphold and need to "save face" so most will not allow you to bring guests. Don't even bother getting a hotel in D1, as everything there is expensive since it caters to foreigners, so they can increase prices.

Dating: I'm 5'8", late 20's, also athletic build with less than 20% BMI, I'the consider myself average looking but tend to have a relaxed demeanor that allows several girls to let down their guard and become comfortable around me. I didn't have pics showing me off as muscular or looking like an F boy in my profile. Viet girls are not like Thai, Pinays, or other girls. Most of these girls tend to be traditional and want to date seriously with intent. I said most, not all. These girls don't respond well to daytime pickup or just hitting on them blatantly out in the open. Some decorum and tactics go a long way. This is where the usual 'foreigner doesn't know where to go' style helps. Ask for directions and use your phone to pretend to show her a map but have it written in Viet or English (Google translate might help) asking them for their number, asking for a date, giving a compliment, etc. Your best bet are 'foreigner chasers', more on them later. I used Badoo, Tinder, Bumble, and MEEFF. Got matches on all, then just had to filter out the ladyboys and bargirls. Have a decent profile with nice pictures, don't need to try and be a Chad but just write some basic stuff on there. Once you start talking to a girl, get them off the app within 5 messages and onto a messaging app called Zalo (it's what they use out there) or WhatsApp. Make sure they're not ladyboys, scammers, or bargirls before you get them off the app. I found Zalo to be better, cause the more you can relate and make it easier for them, the more comfortable they'll be with wanting to meet you. If you really want to go down the dark side, then promise these girls a green card (not sure your nationality) and it'll get things straight to them wanting to get you (this was told to me by a Viet male friend of mine, never tried it). Could not agree more. I have been to Poland, Ukraine, Thailand, Cambodia and Philippines. Brazil in terms of price and value easily #1.

I pity the fools that still think Thailand is at the top and are paying 1700+ for girls that would have host 1000 just a couple years ago. Thats some extreme 70% inflation lmao.

While I enjoyed my trip and thought HCM was an interesting city, I do not think this is a place that I would revisit. To me, there are just other options that better align with my preferences.
