I am headed to Vietnam for a monger vacation next week. Just a few days in HCMC this time round, and so have been going back and RTFF to get up to speed. I ran into links for a couple articles about prostitution in Vietnam in the 'Legal or Not' thread, and had a read. Tried the street girls near the Backpacker area and Apo. 700.000 to 1. 000.000 plus 200.000 if you need a short time room. There were some cute girls in both areas, but they were super cutthroat and down to business. Promises of one hour, good service, etc. , all lies. The girls will tell you everything is extra, they don't get much of the money, and ask you for tips. They'll also expect you to finish in 10 minutes. One girl was on the phone with her next customer while we were mid coitus. She told the guy she would be there in 10 minutes, 5 minutes into our session. Yes, some of the girls look amazing (20 years old, great tits, slim, etc.) but they're all ruthless.

Having been to Makati, Bangkok, and Pattaya in the last few weeks, HCMC was the worst and most difficult place to find girls. I would not recommend HCMC (VISA required, girls not allowed in hotels, English not really spoken, traffic, air pollution, hard to find girls, and worst service). HCMC definitely has some very beautiful girls, but I'd recommend a visit to Pattaya instead. The only thing easy about HCMC was getting a he or BJ, but both are high volume so be ready to be the 10th guy that girl has serviced. If you must have a hot Vietnamese girl, I suggest Singapore and the Geylang. Almost the same price, but way better service since the "papa" is right there to field any complaints.

1) Is there a girl friendly hotel that is a nice Hilton / Intercontinental / Sheraton type hotel? Not those brands specifically, but a proper business hotel with all the amenities that is is also girl friendy? I 'hve mad mixed experiences with 3 star hotels in that city!

4 stars and above are not GF. Caravelle does allow guests before 10 PM. I. e she has to leave by 10. They keep her ID when she comes in so can ensure she is out by 10. One place you can get lucky with is Hotel Des Arts Saigon. You can go to rooms from the rooftop bar as well and that is not monitored. Technically still not GF but manageable. The hotel is 4*+ star.

HCMC is doing me good now. If one can adjust to the message P4 P and knows where to go, It's awesome.

This seems like the best advice to me. I have never tried a HCMC massage place.

I agree with everything you wrote. I have never tried this in Indonesia as I had girlfriends there and found that an easier route. I seem to have more fun in Muslim countries where the supposed laws make it hard but I find they love western men. I actually like PP probably because of the connection to the Deer Hunter and so forth.

I was looking at space during the week for my idea for a pool hall. Take out place and bar but seem to have run into the local mobsters already so may cool my heels on that one.

I ventured down some of the streets here to check out the massage scene but nothing eventuated. Off for some Sunday arvo drinks with one of the 35 yr old semi-pros. At least she is cheap.

Yea, I've also found Muslim women like Westerners. I had a very modern GF for Turkey for 2 years. I think there is much to be said or Indonesia. PP is great if you have the time, as it is sooooo slow there. For me I work while doing the hobby.

Yeah I hear you. I live here most of the time now (full time really from this week). I will try Bui Vien thanks.

I really don't mind spending a lot of time to learn the scene. I was in Morocco for months until the locals relented and took me to the best spot, and the semi-pro (expensive freebie GF route) is OK. In the end I found so many places myself they learned a thing or 3. I was supposed to go to Phnom Penh today but meh, so out later hunting for lasses it will be. I do enjoy the whole SE Asian vibe after being many years in USA, Europe, Africa etc. I must say the over 30+ Vietnamese women in Australia, Singapore etc seem much thinner than the locals on the whole in Saigon and Hanoi. Maybe I need to get out into the woods and check out the real locals scene.

As for APO I will keep going and just keep a low profile until a lass shows interest or not!

I think my experiences at Apo and nearby Hai be Trưng hostess bars are what made me so anti P4 P about HCMC. Just stay away from them. There are stunning women in HCMC willing to go with us hobbyists, but they just aren't "set up" to meet us Westerners. I'm blown away by the girls on the escort sites in terms of beauty / price. Anyone on here tried hiring a college kid or other as a "guide" to meedt them? I'm not clear why these women don't connect with Westerners and / or why there is no one with more of a "bridge" to them. Wendella is a wealth of knowledge about this, and he's told me to go for them even though my Vietnamese is horrible. I'm not shy at all and do very well with FL girls in clubs in Asia, for example, but texting with these girls in Vietnamese, well I'm shy about that.

As for Cambodia vs. Vietnam, they are crazy different to me. The hobby scene in PP Campbodia is awesome and reminds me in many ways more of BKIK. But, PP is city I don't love.

I will try to follow the "when in Rome" principal more. I think the message places can be a place to find 9's, but not expect FS.

I'll also probably head down to Indonesia for 1-2 months: the rainy season gets to be a drag. Jakarta has been very good to me long ago both for find GF (should have married someone I met there!) and for clubs and FS message places.

Is the VIC bar still going? That seemed a good option when I went few years back. Hostess bar, all girls available for takeout. I would suppose inflation has struck there too. Remember it being near CMT8 street in district 3, before reaching Dien Bien Phu street.

VN is tough for P4 P if you don't live there. The message place can be great if you find what you like (I did, in District 3, wow) but we're used to FS! If you must do P4 P, go to Bui Vien. It's a bit hit or miss, but 10 X better than Apo. I was on Bui Vien 3 weeks ago and found a stunner who was eager and GF experience. Prices are same for most girls, but some will disappoint.

Seems to be the trend around the world now when places become attractive to the richer and mainly monger set from the west. Some broad in Marrakesh last year quoted me 300 Euros ST in a country where I dare not pay over $100 for a day with a 100/100 type.

Anyway, I laugh at some of the women in APO to their faces when they quote prices and tell them in my worst Vietnamese that I wouldn't pay them that in New York. Some of them find it funny and some just do not get my SOH.

It's a useless place for p4 p now, but it's still a good pick-up bar if you're looking for a girlfriend. I don't know about this type of stupid "inflation" in other countries so much. I've been to a couple of the largest dance clubs in BKK recently, and nothing like this BS happens there. I'm 40 now, but no problem with that in BKK clubs. In VN where I know the culture and some language, like you I just LOL when these girls ask for $150 and are nothing special or $200 if they are cute.
