Yes, I am finding that Sao Paulo is the best place for what I like and Hong Kong in Tijuana is the next best option if I want just a quick 2-3 night trip. It was an interesting place to visit from a historical standpoint, but that was not the primary reason for my visit.

Vietnam has been on my bucket list to visit for many years, so I decided to take advantage of a recent window of opportunity to visit. While I enjoyed my trip and thought HCM was an interesting city, I do not think this is a place that I would revisit. To me, there are just other options that better align with my preferences.

First, arriving in HCM is fairly straightforward provided that you have obtained your evisa prior to your arrival. This is something I overlooked and had to do the day before my arrival. The expedited service cost me $160 for four hour service, but I had no problem getting through immigration upon arrival. The lines at immigration were long and moved slow, but no questions or interrogation by the agent.

I used the Grab service at the airport. I had read inaccurate information about Uber availability in Vietnam. Uber does NOT operated in Vietnam, so download the Grab app prior to your trip or just use the metered taxi. After using Grab to get to my hotel, I used taxis for all of my transportation and they were relatively inexpensive. I found all of the taxis air conditioned, clean, and all used the meter.

I wanted to stay in district 1 and debated staying at the Hyatt or the Sheraton. The rate I was seeing at the Hyatt was 2 x the rate at the Sheraton, so I opted for staying there and I am glad I did. The Sheraton in HCM is one of the nicest I have ever stayed. The club lounge is remarkable and offers an incredible breakfast spread and a great happy hour. I had no need to pay for dinner given the vast offering in the lounge.

I did a lot of research prior to my trip and even had a Vietnamese friend on the ground to help me. I checked out a lot of places, but the only place I felt worthwhile during my entire trip was Cherry Linh.

Nguyen Phi Khahn Street. I took a taxi to this area eager to see what this area really offered and I was extremely disappointed. I arrived mid-afternoon and walked up and down the street stopping in most of the places. While these massage / BJ places are super cheap, I did not see any girls appealing and the places were shitholes. No thanks!

Luxury Massage. I hit a place called Hawaii Luxury Massage and another called Dubai Luxury Massage. I saw YouTube videos on these places and they looked good. Unfortunately when you arrive, you select a girl from photos on an iPad and you must pay in advance. I recall the price being 3 million for an hour. The Hawaii place told me they had 16 girls working but when I arrived there were only 5 girls working. What turned me off the most was how rude the guy was that greeted me. I walked out. I was not paying in advance if I could not select the girl from a lineup.

Beauty Salons. If you checkout YouTube, there are a few vloggers that promote their channels with videos of these places and suggest vip massages services. These videos are VERY misleading! I hit two of these places. One was Mimi Beauty salon and the other was a place right down the street. I got a haircut, shave, shampoo and massage. These places have a lot of girls dressed in yellow dresses, heals, full makeup, and looking very sexy. The haircuts and shave are done by men. The shampoo and massage are done by the girls. For the price, it is a remarkable deal, but no happy ending is on the menu regardless of tip. My massage girl allowed me to put my hand on her ass, but she wasn't touching me and did not encourage me to get myself off. Any YouTube videos suggesting that these places offer happy endings are just misleading. If you do need a haircut and do want some pampering by hot Vietnamese girls, these places are good but they are mostly a tease.

Bui Vien Walking Street. This is not like any walking street in Thailand! There are bars on both sides of the street each playing super load music. I checked out several of the bars and even walked down a few alleys where there are massage places, but did not see any hot girls. If you want to go there and just drink, it is fine, but I would not go here looking to find girls.

Ton That Dam Street. There is a bar area about a 10 minute walk from my hotel where there are a lot of bars. Again, I saw videos on YouTube where all these bars have girls sitting out front trying to get you to go in and drink. I walked up and down all of these streets and did not find one girl appealing enough to get me to go in and buy a drink. I do not know if you can barfine these girls and get them back to your hotel, but I didn't see any really hot girls worth stopping for. Please note, they are all super friendly and will try to get you to come in, but it just wasn't worth my time so I moved on.

Little Tokyo / Little Japan. I saw a lot of YouTube videos on this area of HCM and was hopeful this would be my honey hole for beautiful Vietnamese girls. But sadly it was not. I walked this area during the day and each night. I was so disappointed. It's kind of an interesting area with little bars and little restaurants. I think there were 3-4 massage places too. The bars usually have 2-5 girls sitting outside urging you to come in and drink. Given that I am an American and that these places are known to cater to Asian clients, I expected to be ignored by these girls, but they were extremely friendly. Had I found some really hot girls, I definitely would have gone in and investigated what they really offered, but I just didn't see any girls that appealed to me.

Cherry Linh. This place proved to be my only go-to place for my fun in HCM. Fortunately it was located a very short walk from my hotel. I hit Cherry Linh twice a day and met some very attractive girls here. For 500,000 for 60 minutes plus 2 million for "boom boom" it is a very good value. Basically a little more that $100 with a lovely Vietnamese girl. It was interesting being asked to sit down next to mamasan while she surrounds you with 20+ girls to select from. While Cherry Linh was a good place, it certainly isn't a good reason by itself to visit HCM. Good value with attractive girls, not a place you hangout and spend any time.

I am fairly certain that there must be some amazing places that wealthy Vietnamese men visit in HCM that are off the radar to foreigners, but I did my best to uncover all of my options and left disappointed. Based on all of my research and tapping into all of my resources of what is available, I would not return to Vietnam. Based on what I saw, not many Americans, Brits or Aussies visit HCM.

Can anyone give me some good advise hotels around 30 usa and what's the best area to be in and walking distance to the best group of bars and massages. Thanks for any help.

I am looking for hotels that it would be easy to get a girl to my room without having to have her check in at the front desk.

Basically meeting up for some dates with non-working girls. Think it would be uncomfortable if we were to go back to my hotel and she had to check in at the front desk.

Anyone have a recommendation. I'm thinking maybe a place where the elevator and entrance are not within direct eyesight of the front desk.

In my experience, you get about 1/10 asking for it after they meet you. Maybe 3/10 if they figure out you are a foreigner before meeting you. In my experience, you are more likely to be asked by girls in D1/ D2 as they have more foreigners or the girls who have been working for a while.

Only Some girls from gaito will keep foreigner fee as a surcharge in their profiles, so we will know before texting her. Some will ask you as soon as they saw you, so it was up to you to accept them or not. This only happened with gaito girls (as it was more local).

I rejected one girl when she asked foreigner fee (real reason was bad smell from her mouth) and immediately pinged other girls using near me option. Out of 5, 1 was in the same hotel she came in less than 5 min. In between the previous girls knocked the door to tell she was ok without foreigner fee (may be she don't have other guests) as I was trying to explain her I booked other girl, new girl came she was more beautiful and seems younger too. They two spoke for a min and offered me 3 some, but I rejected straight away and asked other girl to leave. Observing her body language and arrogant tone, I believe she scolded me and left, but I did not understand (only advantage of not knowing Vietnamese). I had a great time with the new one so took her for second round also.

Also there are psychopaths, arrongant girls (as soon as I find some thing wrong during foreplay, I will just pay them ask them to leave), Overall I had good experiences with gaito girls as they are well in the budget.

.Bhuvi, I'm surprised you got charged a 'foreigner fee'. Although I wasn't there as long as you, I never got charged that. I'd even mention via text I was a foreigner, and they were ok with it. The only girls I could get to kiss though were the MR and Linh Cherry girls.

Go to google and do a search for "Single Man Forum". They are far more active on there when posting about HCMC and Vietnam in general. The Gaito site gets taken down sometimes, so they'll also post the new sites usually. Also look for the guide on how to write the girls, as they have a certain way to conduct business via Zalo / Text. Know that the higher priced girls don't equate to better service, so i'd suggest stick with girls around 500k VND. It'll prob be easier to access the site once you're there and have a local SIM card. I followed all the info and tips they had on that other forum, never failed me. That's not to say you shouldn't read info on this one, for a more complete picture. Don't bother with bar girls, unless they're willing to meet you outside the bar. Just get their number and keep it moving.
