Come on guys, all of you are right.
For foreigners, 1M up to $100 US a pop is anorm.
For people who knows the scene and places, a FS can be had for $50000.
I used to stay in Vn and the price I paid for stunning, young and most important tight and juicy was $150,000 to $200,000. That's for everything and I know the girl only get $80,000. So, if you can get those girls out to go to your place (appointment), that's a legit price (year 2000). I had service from those so-called high price at night time who works in the club and worked in the brothels at day time for just 1/10 of what they got from foreign customers.
Besides those young and can speak fluent English, any of those girls will have different price depends on who you are and where is the place.
If you know where to look, you can have a nice young girl all night for just merely $20-$30 US.
    Peace and write report.

How do you know what I can or cannot afford? Many of the girls (I use that term loosely) at Catwalk and Saigon-Saigon are a bit older for the nightlife scene in VN and certainly spoiled and used up. Some of them still hanging out in there I saw back in 1995-96 when both were just opening. I think you need to look around - HCM has over 10 quans with over 6 mil people. There are dozens and dozens of diverse venues and options in the big city that are far superior to such terribly overpriced tourist traps. As far as bia om, hot toc, etc. for quality - they are like every place. You have to shop around for the gems at reasonable price. This is probably more true in HCM since it has overall a much higher standard of living than upcountry or even Hanoi. I can find sweet gems everyday in VN by simply looking around and not acting like the stereotype, without a clue, big spending, fat ass tourist. And yes, my ability to bargain in VNese helps.

Very good point. You get what you pay for. Trust me. Sometimes these girls that costs $50-100 per night is well worth it. Don't want no street walker. They are not as educated as street walkers in the US. They don't know about diseases. They are walking time bombs. Get free diseases from them man. I'll pass.

    Asiaphile,

If you can't afford to play at the Cat Walk then don't GO! Don't tell me the girls at Cat Walk are the same as Hoc Toc places or Bia Om places? get my point?

With all due respect, the prices you quote for Viet Nam (even more expensive HCM) are a BIG JOKE! Places like the tourist trap Saigon-Saigon or similar Catwalk are the worst of the worst in all of VN for rip offs. You should take some time to look around beyond such useless luxury digs where it seems all the without a clue newbies hangout. Read the posts here going back many months for some much better suggestions.

I am finally able to post, thanks to brother Jackson.

I've been to HCMC twice since March, what a nice city. Nice food, nice people, and nice girl.

Because I went to HCMC for business, only limited time for me to look for fun during night time. I went to this pub call Cat Walk, a nice place but not cheap. Many girls for you to choose and they are all pretty. I call a girl who can speak english very well,
drink together for 1 hour and off we go to hotel. Over night is USD150, short time is USD100.

She stayed with me until late morning, I got her number but wondering I will look for her again or not because there are so many pretty ladies out there waiting for us.

Next time I would like to try other place. Any tips where can find freelance ladies?
Any brothers willing to share their experience in Saigon Saigon bar?

    James

Yes, US$20 is definitely a ripoff in HCM! Standard price VND100000 (VND60000 in Ha Noi, lower in rural areas). Tip no more than VND200000 for quick BJ. Total VND300000 (max!) = $19. Putting it into some perspective: OFFICIAL GDP annual income 2003 for VN = US$485. For HCM = US$870.

I was offered at USD20 (not including tips for girl) for a Blowjob in a Hot Toc loacted on the road to Dien Bien Phu.

    Is that expensive?

If it is, can anyone tell me where I can get a more reasonable priced service.

    Thanks

Serviced appartments are a great way to go and avoid a lot of the hassles. Pricing is comparable to the 4 and 5 star hotels, though. Never heard of anyone having trouble receiving guests there, just tell em it's your piano teacher. Skygarden, Parkland, Sheraton Towers, and so on, there are around 20 properties around HCM.

Agreed the Caravelle is an amusing place to try and take someone in to . My friend was given a blowjob in the carpark from frustration and shot just before being caught by security.

The smarter way is to take the girl in during the day - was reliably informed and proved it - that between 9am - 8pm there is little security.

In my case got the girls to meet me at the Saigon Saigon on a Sunday afternoon and proceeded straight to the room - there discovered that the friend also enjoyed a little lesbian encounter so had two for the price of one in the afternoon.

The Dai Loc is also a good place and there is one close to the New World Hotel that is the same - no problems with girls coming in - also there is a hotel at the back of the Camarque run by a Brit where they dont seem to care as long as you are not too stupid about it - these are much safer than the short time hotels that they try and get you to go to.

Thanks for the 2 hotels, found out ship arrives Halong Bay on Wed July 21 and departs Sunday July 25 9 pm so have 4 days for my first visit to Vietnam.

Is it to much for one who doesn't speak the language to even think about going from ship to Hanoi , ship provides transportation then by air to HoChiMnCity/Saigon then to Ankor Watt then back to HoChiMinCity back to Hanoi then ride back to ship.

Would I be better off just staying in Ho Chi Minh City OR just going there , then hopping plane from there to Ankor Watt?

I don't want to spend all my time in and out of airports , going to and from.

Watch out for the Caravelle Hotel

It may have changed but it was a pain in the arse for girls. Not only did they want you to take a second room but, if they felt that the second room was for the cutie that you have just found they might even refuse entry. Girls from the top floor bar could get to the rooms from above (if you were prepared to pay the price).

It may have changed but it is worth checking before hand. I ended up in some crazy short-time hotel which worked fine although there was a slight feeling of 'uneasiness'. This two years ago so perhaps all has relaxed by now but I still hear that some of the hotels are not all that cooperative - getting them there and then being refused entry is a double disaster!

    Art,

I would recommend a hotel on Le Thanh Ton. Either All Asia Hotel or Dai Loc I think. They are next to each other. Very friendly..They know what's up. You bring a girl back, they will ask for the girls ID to protect you. When the girl leaves in the morning, they can't go until the front desk call you to make sure everything is ok before they let the girl have her ID back. That is a plus. No need for extra room here.

These hotels are a lot cheaper than Caravelle and the other fancy hotels that would cost you over $100/night.

As for SW, last time I saw some on Hai Ba Trung street. But these are risky. I rather go to the Karoke bars or clubs since they force these girls to get tests once a month. A little safer.

    Enjoy

    Hi,

I will be visiting Vietnam for the first time July 21, for 4 days only arriving by ship in Halong Bay, ship has arranged a bus to take passengers (non-mongers majority) to Hanoi, where we can either (a) stay and then return to the ship , using the ship as our base (b) stay in Hanoi, (c) stay in Hanoi maybe that day and get up the next day and fly to Ho Chi Minh City/Saigon.

About 10/12 years ago approx a friend went and stayed in Ho Chi Minh city and recommended a place called The Hawaii Hotel run by a Hawaiin Vietname person, I am wondering if this place is still open.

This person also visited and I believe stayed at the Rex Hotel which I believe there still is a "Rex Hotel" and they said that they felt the Rex was a bit expensive but had some decent girls at therer Disco Dance Club- and am wondering on anyones experiences here.

Some of the group is planning on staying at the Majestic Hotel and would appreciate any imput on this place/ good /bad or indifferent and as to its location to potential monger situations.

To other places that were recommended to me were the Caravelle Hotel which I found " a Caravelle Hotel still renting rooms on Expedia.com" and the Palace Hotel.

I don't have to stay with the group necessarily but would want to prebook my rooms as I don't speak the language, etc and do have to be back on ship at end of fourth day meaning I have to fly back to Hanoi from HCMC.

I am also considering a trip from HCMC to Ankor Watt, Cambodia with 2 days is this including travel time back and fourth from HCMC to Ankor Watt is this to much of a rush.

Thanks in advance for your review and time and appreciate any imput.
