Pasteur Street bars were eerily quiet last night (Wednesday). Very odd since there were a crazy amount of girls on Monday and Tuesday night. Since Pasteur wasn't cutting it on this night I decided to head up to Little Japan even though I know there is little to no value. As I was on my way there I messaged 4 of my girls. 2 have quit, 1 wasn't working, and 1 still hasn't replied. Guess that means I can walk around freely looking for a new girl. NOPE! So many girls still know me there and it took forever to walk by them as they had a tight hold of me. I did notice quite a few Farang there. They weren't as noticeable before. Of course I had to tell them no sitting fee for me or the girl when I walked in. Lady Drinks are 7 USD. Ended up buying 4 total for the girl and the cute bartender too. Pro tip. Unless you carry USD be warned that the bar conversion rate can be way off from market rates.

Next I went back to a really classy looking girl I was goofing around with on my initial fly by. I knew she was a bit older but she was exactly my type. Model face. She confirmed she's older 25. Again confirmed no sitting fees. Problem was once I got in to the bar she popped on the other side of the bar and this is always a bad sign. I would walk out in most bars since I don't pay another $10-20 USD just so the girl comes to my side of the bar. However, this one was so pretty and goofy I bit the bullet. Her English is minimal and her Japanese is worse than mine. Only been there 2 months so still learning the required languages to work in Little Japan. Bought her 3 Lady Drinks and she was over the moon when I tipped her 200k. I only tip when I can take videos and photos.

Not my initial plan for the night but turned out really well. Girls did not push for drinks. Total cost around 1.6 million. Expensive for what you get? Absolutely. As dirty as Pasteur? Not a chance. Better than Bui Vien? By a million miles.

I'm mostly responding to your more recent post in the Massage thread (about Linh Cherry) where you mentioned comparing the talent around town, but replying there to discuss bars would be 'wrongthread-itis'.

Regarding hostess bars, I do agree that the overall talent level in L'il Tokyo tops Pasteur triangle, but the bang for your buck is chalk-and-cheese! In nearly every Pasteur area bar -- especially with customer levels down so much some nights -- one can find one's "type" (this is not even possible in Soi Cowboy anymore, just to mention one example); your new best friend is invariably bored and in need of a john to grind on and ply for drinks LOL. In these situations (slow nights in slow bars) t's much easier to quickly isolate, get drinks going and hands roaming, and very soon it's clear to see if she's reciprocal / affectionate enough to keep spending time with. While it rarely leads to much beyond a pleasantly buzzy transient GFE, it far exceeds the much more sterile Tokyo experience in my experience.

Nevertheless, I am hearing (and seeing) more and more interesting potentialities in that area, and am open-minded to finding more out first-hand!

The main problem is the sterile Japanese counter bar vibe -- too public, no couches to isolate your prey. And sometimes your target is hard even get to your side of the bar!

So please describe how you enjoyed "lots of DFK and mutual petting", and what is the place called? Paying only 600 k sounds like at the bar, not in a private karaoke room.

I don't want to get any girl in trouble. And of course, YMMV. You don't have private DM, so I can't share with you. Yes, it was in the bar area and not the private karaoke room. It's also what got me to come back a second time around and spend much more.

I have heard many tales about the potentail for take home girls from bars in the Pasteur St area of district one, but never really had any success until recently. I stumbled across a bar called Girls Collection. The bar is clean and today and some very cute girls. But one in particular is of note. Her name is Mee, she is slim, skinny, mid to late twenties, nice butt. OMG what a player.

Buy her some drinks, don't let her drink Pink Ladies because they're fake drinks with no alcohol, get her on tequila or vodka shots and she comes to life. You remind me of a time I was in HCMC back in 2016. They included a sitting charge I was there 10 min. I had previously asked what the prices where. I was just notifying everyone, So you can know which one to avoid. Went to other places there they were transparent.

Ah good old Moon Bar. They can have some nice girls there at times (see photos). I have a regular there. IIRC their bar fee is $5 USD (it may be $10?) and there is no charge for the girl to sit beside you if you buy her a drink so you can feel her up. So if we add your 2 beers 260 k plus 120 k bar fee that only adds up to 360 k plus tax plus a surcharge if you paid by credit card. Even for these not "transparent" bars seems quite a ways off from the 900 k. Did they clarify what the 900 k was for?

In Little Japan bars ALWAYS specifically clarify if there is a sitting / bar charge and also make sure no girl talks to you on the same side of the bar you are on before you let her sit / stand beside you. That could be an additional charge up to 470k (20 USD). Some little scams these Viet bars have that you have to be aware of. Be aggressive with your questions otherwise you're going to be looked at as a chump and these girls / bars will take full advantage of you. Just tell them you will buy them a drink but refuse to pay a bar fee and the girls will make sure that charge is waived. Many bars will not give you a bill until the end. If you are concerned about this pay for every drink and every expense as you go along. Make sure you are clear in your instructions! Almost every Little Japan bar has their own little surcharges and no two are alike unless they are owned by the same owner. The worst I heard was 2 million dong for an N20 balloon because you had to buy the entire canister and go to a karaoke room. WTF.

The above is why I think some guys get in a boatload of shit in these Vietnam bars (ie. guy posting on a Vietnam board on how they got beat up at a Pasteur Street bar I frequented often). They just don't know any better.

Anyone try the bar (I think the name is) Little princess hostess bar on Nguyen Sieu? Next to that hotel alley, right off of Hai Ba Trung? I believe it used to be "Storm P.S. Bar" a while back, least that's what the adress is still listed as on google. Women out front looked early 40's, some maybe mid 30's but not too bad. One had a nice big rack but messed up teeth. I was staying at a friend's place nearby and passed by but I had no time to go inside since I had to catch a flight to Hanoi, but will be back in the same location in a week.

Not sure what happened in Little Japan tonight but saw a bunch of girls sitting in a police vehicle. Police raid? 6 weeks ago there were 5 plus girls in front of every single bar. Tonight none and the few girls who remained were hiding inside the bar. There is that one corner that always has about 30 girls sitting outside. Tonight absolutely empty. Saw a few girls leaving the Little Japan area as we decided to head to Pasteur instead.

Was in Little Japan last night (Thursday). Confirmed with some of my girls the police raid and they all went into hiding or closed the bar. Last night had girls out but not even half of when I was there in mid-September. Much fewer Japanese customers too but I noticed a huge increase in Indians. Guess the Japanese are fed up with the table charges too.

More and more bars are adding this table charge BS and the rates are getting out of hand. One I walked in and out of wanted 300 k for me just to sit down! Most run from 150-200 k.

Pro tip and please do this guys. If you see a girl you like get her to agree that there is no table charge if she wants you to come in. I have found they will all do this. If not there are 50 other bars and 1000 other girls available.

Pro tip 2 - also make sure the bar doesn't charge you another 200-300 k for the girl to stand beside you instead of behind the bar. Girls can waive this charge for you as well.

Pro tip 3 - seek out the hidden bars in Little Japan in the small alleys where you find only a handful of bars. I find those are the prettiest bar girls hidden with some uglies who are always outside. I don't pay much attention to bar names in Little Japan but I'll try my best to get the names when I go next. Way too many bars in Pasteur and Little Japan to remember.
