The place to be is Phuong Dong Hotel, at No. 2 Truong Thi st, reasonable rooms rates, and decent facilities. But the outstanding facilities is the massage on the basement, which is called Ground floor in this place.

Standard ticket: 120K, shares sauna and steam room.

VIP rooms: 200K for private rooms with above services, and additional bathing in your birthday suit as complimentary, of course from the ladies.

Un-normal happy ending, I paid 200K while my expats friend paid 300K.

You will know it when the massage is way under average, they are there for "that" services, nothing else. Boom. Boom is the key word!

Other alternatives in this city is calling for the "xe-om", but only if you can speak some Vietnamese and do not bring a large sum of monies with you. The guy was offering me 400K for the girl plus 100K tips for him with the ride.

Yes, I reread the reports by Dragonfly and Greenbud and further back. I have been away from VN for a while and looking forward to it. In a weird way, finding pleasure here is more satisfying than in Thailand. It is harder, therefore you have the thrill of the hunt. However. You just can't beat a soapy!

Day 2 was equally relaxing and boring as yesterday. Took the bike and went off to discover the island. Saw countless MPs and Hot Tocs all over the place.

Been reading for a while and haven't seen any reports about Phan Thiet yet. So since I just was there the other week I thought I'd do a quick post.

1st Night.

Rather quiet place and not many tourists not counting Vietnamese tourists of course. Didn't expect too much action besides the MPs you can find plenty on the main road (Tran Hung Dao, after xroads to Mui Ne). Didn't put down the names but went to 2 of those (mostly average girls but a rare 7/8 can always be found) and each time it was only HJ (100k fee and 100k tip). The girls are available after hours (1am) but I didn't call them as I was always too tired by then. Unfortunately they were not allowed to leave early.

2nd Night.

Thought I'd try my luck in Mui Ne this time around but found out that all the ATMs stopped working and didn't pack enough bills to spend in bars and whatever else there is. So decided to ask a xe om driver anyway where the action is. Funny enough, he told me better luck in Phan Thiet.

Maybe I'm wrong, but you went to a "chicken farm", if dirty. Vietnam chicken farm don't differ so much from Cambodian one (more cheap the vietnamese one). So the price was 50k, sometimes 100k. U paid a lot more, but well, I hope over the condom broken, was a good experience.

So, my second night in Danang:
I started at VIP club in front of the Royal Hotel again; mainly to see if leaving the first night (as the sole customer when I was there) had helped convince the girls that I was not going to be persuaded to part with US$100 for overnight - and that they should negotiate; but also because the beer is fairly well priced.

I walked in and the same girl as the night before came straight over (very cute - tatoo on her leg which is interesting, though not usually my thing).

"Hello, you very handsome again tonight" "Yes, and you are still very beautiful tonight" "Why you not come back here last night" "Because the price you tell me to hang out was Dat Qua - too expensive; have the prices come down tonight?" She walks off and orders my drink, and I admire the other scenery. When she returns she asks straight out "so you want to take me out dancing tonight?" I decide to be just as blunt back "yes, so price is 700 thousand dong yes, and then you stay with me until tomorrow?" "Nooo, always $100" "No always 700 thousand" this time the (stale) negotiations were more friendly... but were still getting on my nerves (which I hid).

The barman came over with the standard two beers, I sent one back (this girl didn't drink beer, and I wasn't about to buy her a drink anyway - after her demeanor the night before my interest had diminished). We chatted for a couple of minutes, a man who she recognised came in (I think Vietnamese, though he looked Thai - so might have been a tourist), and she excused herself and went over to him.

I start looking at the other girls, see a cutie (picture: phone number.jpg), smile and wave at her, she shyly comes over.

I ask her name, she tells me (I have forgotten it now - her phone number is in my phone as 'VIP girl'), we chat for a little while, I ask her if she wants a drink, she gets a red bull. She asks if she can try on my hat, I say only if I can take her picture. We chat some more, an older lady grabs my hat off my head, and poses behind the couch. I take her picture, she giggles and runs off out the back somewhere (is there more of a disco out the back towards the hotel that I missed?).

After a few minutes of chatting, I start to look nervously over towards where the older lady had headed in, the girl sitting next to me offers to get my hat back, and also disappears. A few minutes later with no return, I think I have lost what is turning out to be a useful prop for proposing photographs.

Fortunately she returns and has my hat, we start chatting more, I bring up the conversation of massage, she asks me if I've had one in Vietnam, I respond by asking if she is offering. She giggles, I ask her how much it would cost for her to massage me tonight and stay until tomorrow, she responds that she is shy and doesn't do that, but the usual price is $100. I tell her that usually I pay 700 thousand dong, she says she doesnt do that but starts grabbing my leg more, and leaning into me whilst I have my arm around her. We keep chatting but change the topic, she disapears a few times, and after one of the times gives me a peice of paper with (ostensibly) her phone number on it (no name though).

A little later she walks off, come back with a jacket on, and asks for a tip for sitting next to her. I say that she can have a tip if she comes to my room. She rolls her eyes, pecks me on the cheek and leaves. I decide to head off as well, go out the front and get a taxi to New Phuong Dong.

This time NPD is very busy, girls approach me as soon as I enter, and everyone is smiling - but instead of the band that was playing the night before, it is very loud music, flashing lights, pole dancers around the DJ booth.

On the way back a few blocks away from NPD the motorcycle driver pulled up behind me, said "ok, ok 1 million." I agreed, only if she was very cute, and stayed until the afternoon. He makes a phone call, we jump on the back of his bike, and meet the girl and her driver infront of the hotel.

She is not as cute as he had said, but I decide that this is the best deal I am going to get tonight (and I leave the next day), ask her if she is happy, and agree to take her up. Well, will continue with my experience from the next days in Hue:

Next day nice experience in an hotel in the east part of the town. Another motorcycle guy brought me there, called a girl and a few minutes later she arrived on her bike. Small, cute, about 20, half my height.
