Yes but some of OWL's comments about the vietnamese social system and the old fart perverts who run it are correct.

Underneath it all there are some nice friendly people in Vietnam (in the P4P scene as well) but they are hard to find.

Is Sammy Hotel in Vung Tao guest friendly? A girl friend thought it was in the past, because it was owned by a HK guy. Now it is under Vietnamese ownership, she heard.

Sammy Hotel quotes at $40 on one website and is in middle of town. Would like to know this myself.

The barbershop sex operation on Tran Quang Khai (near intersection with Tran Phu) will indeed get you sucked unwrapped and laid for 300K in the backroom with her dress and blouse still on, but they will just as surely find a way to pick your pocket--got to me twice for a total of $60US, away it. Otherwise, I can't see getting very hot and bothered about it in the bigger scheme of what Americans owe the Vietnamese.

Anyway the hotel is easy to find, near the junction of Nguyen Thoung To ( Lan Rung Restaurant) and Hoang Hoa Tam. It is walking distance to row of bars at Nguyen Trai. Other landmark is the Tran Hung Dao statue.

Gotcha - not far from the Grand and Palace. I'll get my caddy gal to go in there and get some details. thanks.

Take only what you plan to spend and no more. They will leave you any bills under 50K, your wallet and credit cards, but Dong bills of 50K and up will be gone when you search for them. I didn't make a big deal about it--such as threatening to call the police, etc. After all, the "American War" (as it's called there) cost the Vietnamese people 3 million dead, at least an equal number of injured and maimed, not to mention the long-term toxic effects of agent orange and like chemicals on the population and environment. Don't get me wrong: I'm still pissed about the fact that they played me, but I'm mainly pissed at myself for letting them get away it. Otherwise, I can't see getting very hot and bothered about it in the bigger scheme of what Americans owe the Vietnamese.
