Ah the old Paramount. That place used to be fun but I haven't been for 3-4 years as the ladies became all too old. I think it's a victim of their being so many massage shops in Melbourne now plus the Club 140 and Ally Thomas stables working out of apartments. The attitudes there were never great. But they did have a good shower and sauna area, much like what I find on trips to China.

Always had a decent massage but the 45-50 year old Chinese and Korean ladies were very hit and miss.

It's located in the crappy Paramount Centre upstairs at 11-12/108 Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000.

Can you please help with the name of the parlour?

I went to the Paramount Massage Parlour at 108 Bourke Street on a weekday last week at around 6. 00 pm. I'd been there many times before and knew the routine. This time I met with a very sour faced receptionist with a horrible attitude. I handed her the $80 for 1 hour, and instead of giving me the locker key and towel, she just told me to go to the massage room. I complained that I wanted a shower first. "Oh you want shower? And she then reluctantly gave me a towel and the key. At this very moment, an off duty masseuse was coming out in civvies, about to head off home. She stopped at the reception desk. She started talking to the receptionist. It turns out the masseuse had not had a job all day and was about to go home empty handed. The receptionist was trying to get that masseuse to take on my job (no doubt for a kick back). The masseuse wanted the money, yet at the same time, wanted to go home as she was tired. There was a heated discussion between the two in Mandarin. The receptionist trying to get the masseuse to stay and the masseuse wanting to leave. Needless to say, by this time I wanted to get the hell out of there. The receptionist then had the audacity to ask me how long my shower would take. I snapped back saying I didn't appreciate her putting me under pressure like that. I demanded my money back..

Another case of Asians behaving badly in this country and not having a clue about customer service. I sincerely hope that receptionist gets sacked. AVOID.

I then wandered around the floor below Paramount and counted four other rub and tug massage parlours in the same complex. Most had the girls out the front trying to get customers in the door. It reminded me of Asia. I ended by going to Ping's. The cost was $55 for an hour for a very good massage, plus $30 for a nice hand job. A pleasant ending to a tiring day. I'm looking forward to trying the other shops at this centre.

You don't have to request anything. On the flip the Asian bird will show you the universal sign for a hand job, doing the up and movement with her clasped hand. You just nod. She will then show you five fingers. You shake your head to say no and counter with three fingers. She will then usually proceed.

Thanks for your report, sounds like you are a man from the West. I've virtually given up on the Asian massage shop scene, just don't think the experience matches the asking price these days.

Wanted to suggest to you to try Rainbow Dolls brothel in Sunshine, for value for money it's hard to beat, $100 for a 30 minutes session, everything provided, never had the upsell for extras once there.

Just wanted to thank you for this recommendation, I did indeed try Rainbow Dolls after I saw your post, I think I picked a poor time (Sunday early afternoon) as there were only 2 girls available at the time (though hostess did say if I wanted to wait around for longer or come back later, more would be available, so I think at least a couple were in bookings already.
