That whole area of North Melbourne is a mixed bag, there's definitely VFM but some prices are utterly ridiculous. I have tried some others such as 346 Vic St (granted this was a year ago, but they offered $50 for 30 minutes + $150 for a NHJ, I got out of there quick. Would not recommend at all). The quality really varies a lot and I would only touch that area if I lived close to it and really needed to unload.

The lane corner shop is open under new management I believe, Google maps is extremely unhelpful in this region because there are a lot of massage joints that aren't on there (reverse is also true; a few spots on Google maps no longer exist). Best advice I can give you is to just walk up to any shop, judge the girls at the door, and don't be afraid to bail if the prices are too high.
