Just spent a few days in Sydney and had a chance to check out a few places thanks to the information on the ISG.

Mistys got kicked out of premises in Bondi Junction about 18 months ago because they had set up in a semi-residential building without proper council approval.

Seems the same thing has happened again, the planning laws clearly don't permit this sort of business near schools.

The funny thing is where they were has long been a knocking shop. Remember going there when it was called Tudor Court about 10 years ago.

While I am not aware of the internal politics of the business, I can confirm that it will be closing soon.

There have been well publicised complaints about noise issues, and there is an exclusive private girls school nearby so there are property use issues involved too.

Sydney Catholic school complaints shut down brothel

The NSW Court of Appeal has dismissed an appeal by an inner Sydney brothel against a closure order that followed complaints by the neighbouring Catholic girls school, St Vincent's College.

Misty's brothel in Tusculum Street, Potts Point must cease operating by 9 April after the Court of Appeal refused to overturn a Land and Environment Court ruling made last year, forcing its closure, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

During that hearing, the City of Sydney argued the brothel's patrons were causing a continued and detrimental effect on local residents and students.

The council's action followed complaints from St Vincent's College and local residents about the conduct of brothel patrons, bad language, and increased noise and traffic.

The court also rejected a request by De Cue for an extension of time to vacate the premises.

And here is a detailed planning development commission application and review by some local Sydney government body that starts detailing the issues on page 18 ... if you read through this you'll see some of the hassle that brothels in NSW apparently have just from bureacracy, plus crazy regulations like only advertising in immediately local publications (so what about a website?) or being blamed for bringing extra cars to the area ...anyway, it's worth a look.

Well, intrepid readers, my stay in Sydney draws to a close and today I had my final visits to Michelle's.

I had booked a 7pm with Natalie, this cute little 21 yo German girl (pierced tongue) but when I called around 4pm to confirm, I was told she'd flaked and not come in that day.
