Based on the recommendations of postings on the hookerlooker website, I decided to go and see Debbie at 203 Enmore Road, Enmore (behind post office) Tel: 95505382. Debbie is asian (Chinese I think) mid to late 20's, (see photo).

Decided on the slimmer of the 2 Chinese women available, Coco (mid-late 30's. Approx. 165cm tall). Sounds great. But quoting me well over AUD200 online. I'm sure some of these places would probably drop their price a bit if I could speak to them personally, but the costs of long distance calls would make it a false saving just now.

It's always a trade-off, I suppose, comfort & quality vs convenience (both location & ease of access from airport). And cost.

I've tried several different booking engines so far and mostly the same story - the 'best' price advertised is just over half of the available rate when it comes to book. Travelodge Wynyard, for instance (though I've emailed them too). And with the exchange rate they're also about twice what I'd pay for one from that chain in say, London. Surrey Hills is coming up with a bit more in the way of options, but a quick skim of Trip Advisor reports is pretty well enough to deter me from cheapies. .

With school holidays, cricket and the Sydney Festival on in January, there won't be too many bargains going, especially in the cheaper price range.

Yeah, the exchange rate is the killer, it effects our inbound tourism market considerably.

Chinatown is a good area to stay, there is a good range of accommodation budgets, from hostels to 4 star.

Foer a massage, try Babylon, Checkers or Chicago, all in that area.
