I tossed a coin and it came up "heads" for the bigger challenge, the spa at Capricorn. But on arrival found it to be closed, and no staff on the premises. Reception advise that one must call the phone number written on the door of the spa to make appointment, before they come and open.

You can add Hexagon spa to the list of challenges. That one was fruitful 5 or 6 years ago, but the same cannot be assumed now.

Capricorn is available during weekdays and on Saturday. Not sure about Sunday. Yes hexagon was fruitful 5 to 6 years back because the masseuse was always hungry for more cash. That same masseuse is currently at hotel number 4 mentioned below in the threads. I'm really after the Capricorn masseuse. Everything has a price. Everything is corruptible. Just need to press the right button. Only legends know which buttons to press. The only legend we know here is GPat unless and until anyone else wants to take up a challenge and give us a heads up if she is corruptible.

Thanks GP, sound advice on the trial and error approach.

I went to check out the Maui and Korotogo places recently. I arrived too late for a massage in both, so cannot say for certain, but I did speak to the staff and they both seem very legit. I will try and go earlier next time and see if I can go all the way.

On a recent drive to the West, I saw "Spa" signage visible from the Queens Road at Maui Bay shops, and at Indulge hotel on the Korotogo roundabout.

On this topic: sighted from the road in Nadi are two places I didn't know were there. One is Relax Massage in Namaka, on 1st floor in the shopping centre next door to Merchant Finance, and roughly opposite the Fiji Airways Flying Academy. The other is at the Votualevu shopping centre junction, on your righthand side as you bear right to go towards Malawai, upstairs on 1st floor. It's named Princess Massage Spa, and is next to Princess Cafe. Both places have every appearance of being "dodgy".

Have any of our Western mongers tried either of these establishments? If not, then can you pop round to sample their delights and give us a full report?

Thanks GPat. I have tried relax spa. You will get everything you are expecting you might be getting here. Not sure of the princess spa haven't tried it yet. Not sure if they only have Chinese masseuse or have a mix of Indian and Fijian as well.

Has anyone had any experience of massage with extras anywhere between Lami and Sigatoka? I know there are no Chinese MPs, but there are plenty of hotels of higher or lower quality, I wonder if any of them might provide extra services in straitened times. I think there's also a massage spot in Pacific Harbor? Though looks pretty strictly legit from what I can see.

I suppose the thing to do is try these places and see what happens. If the facility has very private cubicles with real doors and real locks, then that's a good indication that your masseuse may be corruptible. If only a curtain separates the two of you from other staff / clientele, then a quick glance will tell you to make an excuse like "Thanks, I'll come back later". If sufficiently private, then purchase a 1hr session, be chatty and sociable to put her at ease, then wait for her fingertips to "accidentally" caress your ass crack and balls.
