Generally speaking, Spanish speakers and Portuguese speakers can understand each other. However, most Spanish speakers would be hesitant to start speaking Portuguese and vice versa. That depends on what "getting by" means to you. It's not Europe, they don't speak much English anywhere in South America including Brazil. So, if you're OK with prives (small *****houses) and termas (small *****houses where you wear a robe), it's very easy, just gather addresses on the Rio forum and plan your stay around these establishments. If you're more interested in escorts, that would limit you to the ones who speak English (very few do). If you prefer to hunt in bars and strip clubs, that'll be tough.

I agree that Brazil is a great mongering destination, if you are brave enough to deal with Covid. But, Mexico? I would not put much faith in their ability to control Covid. I would suggest Colombia as a better alternative, in these troubling times.

I went to Mexico in August and September it was all good, I'm Brazil now everyone masked up, checking temps before you go in stores / hotels. Hand sanitizer everywhere. As far as Mexico if you interested in Tijuana Hong Kong is back open I'm not that brave but if you are in my opinion one of the best house of hoes in North America. If COVID concerns you it would in my opinion it would be better to be close to home than in another hemisphere.

We all know that there are many good countries in tropical regions around the world which are great for mongering and water sports like scuba diving (which I've taken advantage of). But I'm also a snow skier so I'm wondering if there are also any countries good for both mongering and skiing? Any feedback or experiences shared would be greatly appreciated.
