I have lived in quite a few US cities and all have had sidewalks. Can you give an example of a US city with no sidewalks? I'd like to be sure to avoid it. And, it is caused by them not giving a shit. People in poor countries eat even more cheap, high calorie foods. Trust me on that one.

A lot of the newer suburban areas outside of the older city cores don't have sidewalks on every road. In suburbs everything is also spread out, and stores located in big centralized malls or plazas.

As far as food goes, Americans probably eat more processed foods and restaurant foods, which tend to be loaded with fat, salt and sugar. Poorer people in poorer countries seem to eat more home cooked food, and cheap food cooked on the street.

Great movie I saw on netflix streaming last night. Its a semi documentary on a 40 year old retired actress who achieved moderate success who wants to get back in
the business to allow herself some control over her life. This starts out about a couple who moved north of NYC to raise a family. The "boyfriend"/ father of her two
small children has to spend all his time running a bar / restaurant to pay for all the expenses of life including a home while she laments the lack of excitement/romance
"ACTION" in her current situation. However; it appears she took the retirement/family route as her career was petering out. The father dutifully moves out when he
finds out about her exciting affair supporting two households and still willingly pays for everything. No movement at all on her part to ever make the father of her kids
happy just a 100% push to capture old glories. Hmmm somehow one must think she had alot to do with her dull life in suburbia. Of course near the end we find her
sitting with a black eye not caused by either the current lover or boyfriend but just falling down on the streets of Manhattan dead drunk.

Yes, no one moves in this county and couple that with the god-awful food here, it's surprising that people aren't even fatter and unhealthier than they already are.

I've always been the healthiest and in best shape when I was living overseas. The more time I spent abroad, the better health I was in. Looking back, I've always had some sort of (usually, minor) health problem when I'm here in America. Only time I've been hospitalized was here in the US. This place is just bad for you; like a pack of cigarettes, there should be a health warning stamped into your passport everytime you enter this country.

This place is just good for making money, that's it. Just use America like an ATM machine and get out every chance you can get.
