I am a college grad and I have seen this. Women with college degrees throwing themselves at certain professional men and ignoring blue collar types. Though I am pretty sure these were marriage prospects and not casual sex partners.

What you are witnessing is female Hypergamy and the 80/20 rule in effect. It states that 20% of the top men are fucking 80% of the women.

That is why visiting another country where our money goes further is attractive for the average Joe Schmuck Western male. You instantly go from "Donald Chump" to "Donald mutha-fuckin Trump" and are catapulted to the 20% top earner range in said country (ex. Dominican Republic, Philippines, etc.).

In America, anything less than $100 K / yr, hell, anything less than $400 K / yr is average to an American woman. They all want the NBA Ball Player, Doctor, Hollywood Actor, etc. , especially college educated women making greater than even $35 K / yr. A 6 female thinks she deserves a 10 male.

What this situation tends to lead to is a situation where these frustrated women would rather be a part of what is known as a "soft harem" in which multiple women are having sex with one top 20 percent man while either abstaining from relationships of any sort with 80 percent men, having sex with both 20 and 80 percent men with only the former being aware of this, or being in a poor or non-sexual relationship with an 80 percent man while being sexually active with a 20 percent man without the former knowing about it. The idea of women preferring to share a top 20 percent man without commitment rather than devoting themselves sexually to an 80 percent man was discussed in writer Kate Bolick's (featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Elle Magazine, etc.) very well-known and discussed article titled All The Single Ladies in The Atlantic magazine. The article is a very good read and the relevant passage regarding the "soft harem" is below. The idea of the "soft harem" was actually an idea developed by a former female management consultant who spoke to Bolick about female sexuality and modern day dating / relationships concerning young women.

Last year, a former management consultant named Susan Walsh tried to dig a little deeper. She applied what economists call the Pareto principlethe idea that for many events, roughly 20 percent of the causes create 80 percent of the effects to the college dating market, and concluded that only 20 percent of the men (those considered to have the highest status) are having 80 percent of the sex, with only 20 percent of the women (those with the greatest sexual willingness); the remaining 80 percent, male and female, sit out the hookup dance altogether. A few days ago I read a couple of article in the Washington Post about dating in the US. The author were reporting on some research done by someone (academics I think) regarding the demographics of college-educated men and women versus non-college-educated men and women. It is well-known that since the 1970's women have been attending and graduating from college in greater numbers than men. (There is sound logic for this.) Over the decades this has lead to a marked difference in the ratio of college-educated men to college-educated women. So based on the premise that women will never "marry down", the authors discuss how college-educated women behave when faced with a shortage of "suitable" men and faced with more intense competition for "suitable" men.

They looked at college campuses and compared colleges with a high ratio of women (57%) to those campuses with a lower ratio of women. They found that when there were more women, and therefore greater competition for men, women gave up sex faster and easier, referred to as a "hook-up culture". When there were fewer women, and therefore less competition for men, women played hard to get, referred to as a "romantic culture".

How many of us are college grads and have seen this type of behavior? For those who live outside the US, do you observe this in your countries?
