Note my caveat. My trip to Nigeria was in the late 1980's or early 1990's. There have been many changes since then. There was a military government then, not the current democratic one. There was some political unrest because there had been a coup attempt several months before my trip. (I should have done better research.) The capital is now Abuja, not Lagos. The value of the naira was 13 to the US dollar during my trip. It is over 150 now. And most of all, an entire new generation of girls has grown into women. So your mileage is likely to be very different from what mine was.

I have been to Africa, specifically Nigeria, many years ago. It was not for mongering, but I did some. It was my second trip abroad during which I mongered.

Be Careful! Appearances in Nigeria were very important and almost NEVER were accurate or truthful. Almost every adult woman, outside of the Muslim North, was available because of the grinding poverty. However, discretion was of the utmost importance.
