in my case, if i didn't bang hookers, i would live a life that even a mormon missionary would find boring. i don't do drugs, rarely drink, don't gamble anymore, so p4p is really the only "exciting" thing in my life, the only thing that gets my juices flowing, so to speak.
if paying for pussy is the worst thing you do, be thankful. i had friends in my 20s destroy their lives with drugs and alcohol. now that i'm in my 30s, the rest of my friends are getting screwed by their ex-wives, or stuck in dead end, miserable jobs. be thankful you have none of these problems.

well i think i am a sex addict. i think about sez 24/7 and spend a ton of money on hookers. i moved to a different city to have easier access to paid sex. i keep paying for sex even though i want to stop, i can't stop.
not sure what to do, i am only 26 but i just want to fuck hot women. paid sex is so easy and the women so hot and slutty, that's my thing. not sure if i can ever be normal ie a girlfriend, not sure after all this paid sex if i could just drop it.
to me its scary that sex rules over my life. maybe i need to see a therapist.

That said, it's not hopeless. Try dating, look for people who are not cold calls, girls you meet organically. Make a pact with yourself not to *push hard* to sleep with them. You've been sleeping with girls as soon as you met them, how's that going? Try engaging intellectually first. If that doesn't work, here is another suggestion, try having two sets of female friends. One that is a set to fuck and suck, and one that is strictly based on shared interests, common personality traits, etc. I find this serves me very, very well. Many of my best friends are women and unlike when I was younger, I never had any intention of sleeping with them.
Lastly, if you're thinking "there's more to life," well, there is. With anything-prosties, dope, being heavily infatuated with a woman, masochism, sadism, etc-you get caught up in these rushes that become compulsions. Honestly of them I think being in the early stages of being in love is probably the strongest and most detaching, though I've never been a heroin addict LOL. These things disconnect you from life's simple pleasures and the satisfaction of working hard in order to see something through.
So, if you do take a break from sex, drugs or both, make sure your time is filled with some productive that you enjoy. If you just sit around depriving yourself, you will be miserable and probably better off once you (quickly) slide back into your old habits. Cheers and good luck.

There is quite a lot of neuroscience published in the last five years confirming that internet porn is an addiction, that causes erectile dysfunction in young males and other symptoms misdiagnosed as social anxiety, ADHD or other disorders. This talk summarizes the research: http://yourbrainonporn.com/garys-ted...orn-experiment. The main web site (yourbrainonporn. Com) has a variety of other interesting material you can read. Especially interesting are the stories of men who have given up all internet porn and masturbation and report significant improvement in their sex lives and overall motivation and well-being. Food for thought.

Posts: 77So would checking this ISG forum every five minutes considered sexual addiction?
No seriously. What's the threshold between normal use and abuse in your view?

Posts: 368Have sex more often to improve your health!
According to this article, sexual intercourse is not only fun and good exercise, it also improves your immune system.

So I think governments around the world should promote sex, rather than trying to prevent it.
More sex= healthier people!

By Michael Herkov, PH. D.
While there is no official diagnosis for sex addiction, clinicians and researchers have attempted to define the disorder using criteria based on chemical dependency literature. They include:
Frequently engaging in more sex and with more partners than intended.
Being preoccupied with or persistently craving sex; wanting to cut down and unsuccessfully attempting to limit sexual activity.
Thinking of sex to the detriment of other activities or continually engaging in excessive sexual practices despite a desire to stop.
Spending considerable time in activities related to sex, such as cruising for partners or spending hours online visiting pornographic Web sites.
Neglecting obligations such as work, school or family in pursuit of sex.
Continually engaging in the sexual behavior despite negative consequences, such as broken relationships or potential health risks.
Escalating scope or frequency of sexual activity to achieve the desired effect, such as more frequent visits to prostitutes or more sex partners.
Feeling irritable when unable to engage in the desired behavior.
