as long as we're talking about herbals, i did some personal web-based research into dopamine over the past 6-8 weeks. this is not a recommendation to anyone (and i have no plans to try anything like this), but i think its interesting.
it seems that increasing the level of dopamine in the brain can increase the libido. that is, unlike viagra or cialis, it actually increases sexual desire and it works equally well in both men and women. for example, patients with parkinson's disease are usually put on drugs that increase the level of dopamine in the brain and they frequently develop "sexual disinhibition disorder" as an unwanted side effect.
one cannot be given dopamine directly as this will not cross the blood-brain barrier. instead, patients are given a dopamine precursor, l-dopa, which can cross the blood-brain barrier. l-dopa is then readily converted (in both the body and the brain) into dopamine. but converting l-dopa into dopamine in the body is not what the doctors want to happen for two reasons: (1) not as much l-dopa reaches the brain, requiring much higher doses of l-dopa in order to get the desired response, and (2) the dopamine generated in the body will create hypertension and other unwanted side effects. so, when the patients are given l-dopa, they are also given a drug called carbidopa. carbidopa by itself has no effect and it cannot cross the blood-brain barrier. however, carbidopa prevents the conversion of l-dopa into dopamine. consequently, giving carbidopa in conjunction with l-dopa prevents the conversion of l-dopa into dopamine in the body and therefore allows more of the l-dopa to reach the brain where it will be converted into dopamine. this means that lower doses of l-dopa can be given to achieve the desired increase of dopamine in the brain (and one won't develop unwanted side-effects like hypertension either). benserazide is used instead of carbidopa in canada and britain but is not approved in the usa.
it turns out that there is an herbal available otc that supplies high amounts of l-dopa. it goes by various names such as "velvet bean" or "mucuna pruriens" and was used long ago (in india) to treat parkinson's disease. its not very expensive either. unfortunately, there does not appear to be any herbal equivalent to carbidopa so, as noted above, most of the l-dopa one receives by taking velvet bean is converted into dopamine in the body and only a modest fraction of this l-dopa reaches the brain.
dopamine has many functions in the brain including roles in behavior, cognition, motor activity, motivation & reward, sexual arousal, sleep, mood, attention, and learning. below-normal dopamine concentrations can cause parkinson's disease and are thought to contribute to attention deficit disorder. above-normal dopamine concentrations have been associated with schizophrenia. here are some related links

i could go on but i'll stop here. the above has enough keywords and phrases to speed you along on your own web-based research (in case you are interested in learning more). remember that wikipedia is your friend.
once again, i am not recommending that anyone self-administer velvet bean or other herbal supplements. dopamine is a powerful neurotransmitter and i'd be extremely cautious about screwing around with neurotransmitters. but i would be interested in hearing from anyone who has tried velvet bean and what effects they have noticed. in particular, has this increased your libido?

Just a quick note about Viagra and similar drugs. According to a local article, the ED's are controlled drugs under state regulations and not the federal regs. Which is different from the patent rights for a drug.
When I received the order from allday it took me awhile to finally try one of the Viagra. I was very pleased and have used it regularly for a year now. I get regular blood work and check ups with the Dr about 4-5 times a year. I always get and use the Viagra samples from the Dr.
No one love sex more than I do! I use them 4-5 times a week and on trips I may use them 3 times a day. Even if I am primed. On a new date or someone I may only get once chance. I will pop one for the confidence that if I stay hard and do a great job I will be invited back.
I remember the Tee shirts women use to wear "A Hard Man is Good to Find" I think the T shirts are gone now but worth remembering.

Items found in nature that relax blood vessels are found in higher concentrations in med's / herbals that are OTC. But no one has ever really studied what the affects are of using these natural items in higher concentrations.
I'm more leery of herbal items then med's as at least med's have been tested somewhat. A lot of these herbals have never been fully tested to see what the higher concentration of some concoctions affect you long term or short term.
Not scientific at all but.... saying that there's a few of us I know that when we go off to monger, just to monger, we've worked up a system that works for us including two herbals. A mixture of C (20 mg first day an hour before sex then 5 mg to 10 mg on a daily basis (depending on person) taken at the same time each day) and add two herbals OTC and taking a Whey Protein has worked increasing load, volume, taste (according to the girls), and effectiveness to shoot many multiple times a day and really increases load if shooting just four times or so a day. And mix in a antibiotic to ward off any BG colds or such has not affected performance. EDIT: and of course staying in general good shape (cardio and such) helps
Just tried jelly C the other day for the first time... to me worked the same as a soft C tablet taken an hour or so before sex but another guy said he got the effect very very very fast and lasted for a long time for him. Jelly V seems to give some a flushed and hot feeling in the face (this affects me like that), others don't get that at all so it's a full experiment on what works for each person the best.

Thanks

Last week in Makati I realized I had forgotten my Cialis at home. Mercury Pharmacy near City Garden Makati hotel definitely wanted a prescription and I expect all pharmacies will. I got a prescription by asking the pharmacist where to find a doc. Big medial center within walking distance at 5 pm got me in and out in 15 minutes with a bp check and a chat with a real doctor. He gave me a rx for 10 boxes...(20 tabs)
I only bought 5 boxes for 7500 pesos, so it's not cheap in the pharmacy. The doc visit only cost 300 pesos total. You can buy on the street for 500 pesos or less per box...but i have no idea if it's real.

Hi,
I will be going to the Philippines for the first time in three weeks. I used Cialis for the first time in Thailand a year ago and loved the "boost". Would love to try it again in the Phils. I will be staying at the City State Hotel in Ermita. Near LA Cafe. Hee. Hee.
Is there a pharmacy closeby that someone can recommend to buy Cialis? Is it difficult to buy there without a perscrption?
Thanks. Oh, and what's the cost?

Just now I ordered 60 tablets, 20 mg each, of Tadalifil (Cialis) from http://www.EDSelection.com/ for $139.95 plus $10.00 shipping by international unregistered mail. They say this takes 2-3 weeks. Order is supposed to include 4 free Sildenafil (Viagra) soft tabs as a FREE bonus.
Got an immediate email confirmation. Will update on how well this works. I have both real Viagra and real Cialis to compare with these generics.

He did, however, use the generic V, bought from a Canadian pharmacy, made in India I believe. Last time I was in CP, he shared some with me, no problems. Nevertheless, impurity is one possibility. Also, since V was originally tested as an antihypertensive agent, using it everyday can lower blood pressure to the point of putting you at risk for heart attack, stroke, other vascular disease that comes about with transient low pressures. I hope that was not the case with our friend. I understand that he did not take it for several days due to feeling ill, therefore all the V should have been out of his system. Not a direct answer to your question. Most people feel a face flushing sensation and nasal congestion, these are all signs of dropping pressures.

Posts: 5Yup Rockhunter your friend is right, watermelon has citrulline which has similar inhibitors to the ED drugs, our body also uses it to make arginine. However you have to get a load of water melon i think like 6 cups full before you will get any effect close to the synthetic drugs.

Ok, I know this is weird, but a friend whom I respect, he is intelligent, stated unequivocably, that watermelon has the same chemical ingredients as Viagra. And that when he eats fresh watermelon in large quantities he gains the same effect as if he took V but without the side effects. Although watermelon gives me gas.
Any one ever hear of this ?
