These people are responsible for restricted basic rights of the German citizens. Restrictions since over a year.
These people are responsible for a stricter night life shutdown (bars, restaurants and clubs, who were never really open again) in November 2020. Result, rising numbers.
These people are responsible for a more strict shutdown (plus the schools, small shops, amateur sport clubs and so) in December 2020. Result, rising numbers.
These people are responsible for the same shutdown in January 2021. No effect, the original sars cov2 just was getting tired.
These people are responsible for the same shutdown in February 2021. The result at the end of the month, rising numbers. Because the "mutants" stepped on the stage.
These people are responsible for continuing the shutdown politic in March 2021. Result, rising numbers.
Closing parts of life has no or only a very very tiny effect.
But guess what they are still doing? Yeah, planning more measures till "enough" people are vaccinated.
We people were just to slow in March 2020 as the whole German Bundestag misused the infection protection law. The whole Bundestag, every political party, no opposition during these days.
The damage is done.
From next week on, only children are allowed to go into the school if they have a negative test result. No negative test result, no school together with other children. That means, children who have no negative test result are treated like children who are corona positive (infectious, ill). Hopefully two weeks later these kids are not dead. Or recovered?
German government is still ignoring the possibility that many people are "hidden" recovered.
Germany, 83.2 million citizens.
0.27% of the people counted currently as "active cases".
Believe it or not. Some Germans, random people, want stricter corona rules. I have a nice idea for them. Quit your job, you know, 10 hours home office (including 6 hours show sitting) is boring, be honest. Start instead working in a hospital, home for older people, test station or vaccine center.
First, you can show solidarity with your beloved system.
Second, you can get your needle so much quicker! Great or what?
Do it, support your tyrannical system!

Ok, here is a clue: It gives people a sense of upbringing and localization. It doesn't matter if they never go to church, their parent were Catholics. And that's enough. Or even their grandparents. The non sexual sentiments lingers for generations.
But sure, the entire idea on bringing in Muslims is just that: to uproot the brainwashing and get a new start. It won't be a Muslim start though.

I do find it funny that Romania is 89% religious, putting it in the top 10 religious countries, LOL.

So, they check the box "Catholic" on whatever form, but don't go to church, maybe for a wedding. I bet many would quickly uncheck that box on a form if there would be a church tax like in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and a few other countries. I think order of magnitude it's 8 - 12 % of your income tax.
When I moved to Switzerland I made damn sure that I declared myself atheist. From the money I saved on my income tax I can pay for a hell of a lot of WGs.
When they bury me, there will be no priest present, I can live with that.

According to the Vatican, in 2005,77% of the French where baptized. 15 years ago.
https://www.cairn.info/revue-populat...-4-page-14.htm
As you can see in the first graph this ratio has been constantly declining.
Unless I missed a recent surge of faith recently, I don't think that those last years everyone found his way in the catholic religion.
On the second graph you find the share of people describing themselves as Catholics in France. Same think, it has been constantly declining. And it's around 2/3 of the number of baptized people.
Even better, more recent source and in English:
https://www.statista.com/statistics/...ligion-france/
38 M of self described Catholics, not exactly 83 to 88 %.
I suggest you double check the information before you post it next time. They didn't teach you this in your communication school?
Churches in France are getting more and more empty, they're decaying because they're running short of money, more and more children born out of a wedding, gay marriage is authorized, no real problem for abortion, doesn't sound like a catholic country to me. Unfortunately we're turning in some kind of Islamic state in some neighborhoods, but the Catholics nowadays you only hear them when they demonstrate against the gay marriage or against adoption for LGBT.

Departmentalize (sic) - Compartmentalizing love and happiness with sexual desire has been happening for thousands of years. Life is not a Disney movie where you just love one person and all other emotions and feelings are muted by the "power of true love."

Have not met many very religious French. Not many religious Brits either.
