It is not possible if ATM does not belong to your bank. There is always ATM fee for foreign bank customers. If you use non-debit card, there are also cash advance fees on top.

My bank I have to call them up and give them a go ahead how much to increase my limit to and the duration. They also allow permanent increase. It's our money so it's hard to imagine a bank not allowing limit increase.

I have asked my bank to raise the limit for cash, but they said no and told me to have two cards to get the double limit.

And as I said, if I pay with the card over desk there's no limit, That way I can buy for a million bucks every day if I want to. If I had that much money! LOL.

Yes I can, and I've done that for about ten times during the past year, since almost every time I travelled to fkks I over spent. Just a 3 minutes phone call, the reception will ask for my full name, check my account, sometimes she will demand a approval from my bank consultant but sometimes doesn't. And it's done.

I do it too since I have to withdrawl more than the bank's default limit. The limit is for security reasons. When they notice a huge withdrawl activity, they will flag it, and stop transactions as I had this happened to me. My bank I have to call them up and give them a go ahead how much to increase my limit to and the duration. They also allow permanent increase. It's our money so it's hard to imagine a bank not allowing limit increase.

Or a credit card where I get an invoice in the end of the month. All the banks here in Sweden has a predetermined limit when it comes to VISA and MasterCard using them for cash in ATM. But if I use the card outside ATM, to pay with it over the desk, there's no limit use cash.

Seriously same as ATMs at Sharks, Mainhattan and World they all take CC.

In Sharks it was not ATM machine, it was front desk. DV did not allow me to pay with CC. World takes only pin cards, not US signature cards. I always use signature cards for purchases (no currency conversion fee) and pin cards only for ATM cash withdrawals.

If I take a holiday for a week in the summer and maybe visit 3-4 FKK clubs in that week, 1500 euro will not do it. Then I have to search for a exchange office like Forex or other similar.

It seems like Sweden is a little ahead the rest of Europe when it comes to use cards as payment, here it's against the law with surcharge when using a card, If you do that you can lose the permit for card payment, not a good idea when most of the people don't use cash. I think it's very ugly to have a 7% surcharge like the Oase, very ugly.
