Posts: 1385We have an office in NYC and I heard what I heard from my co workers who take a bus into the city Weewauken. Those buses were empty as they told me. In our office, less than 5% showed up, rest worked from home. Notaworry reported what he saw, there are plenty of other reports from NYC, the most populated city in the nation. My condolences to the Italians so sick from this disease with the highest active infection rate and blocked from everywhere in EU.

Traffic is rapidly dwindling to nothing in most places. My friends in NYC said buses and trains were ghost like.

Posts: 2073Situation is too dynamic to speculate. Italians were walking around relatively carefree two weeks ago and now complete lockdown. I have a friend in one of the most infected towns in Italy, and I was told that hardly anyone is in the streets. Only supermarkets and pharmacies remain open. To ensure people do not come into close contact, only ten people are allowed in the supermarket at any given time, which creates a backlog of people waiting in the streets.
Nightclubs are closing in Germany:

It would be a nightmare to come to Germany, and find that everything is closed: FKKs, restaurants, tourist spots.

If you take a look at the general info forums and in the other threads of Germany you will find a lot of tips.
