• Content providers- These are the guys who post reports, why we need them is obvious, without content there's no site.

• Content consumers- These are what is known as lurkers, they get a bad rap. All sites like ours have around 9-10 times as many guys who lurk as participate, we need them because they are our real traffic, with out them we don't get the next group.

• Advertisers- Pretty obvious, these are the people who wish to put their message in front of the ENTIRE group of people who come to our site. We need them, without them the bills don't get paid. Without them (this is for the content providers) there is no site for you to post on.

We wish subscriptions alone could do it, but we don't make subscriptions mandatory and even at the ridiculously low number we ask (seriously, the price isn't about the enhanced services, it's a way for people who wish to demonstrate the value of the utility they get from the forum, at 20 bucks a year it's a tip jar for crying out loud) we don't have anywhere near enough participation to operate the forum. So that means advertisers.

In any event, as always, if you don't like the content that somebody posts be a grownup, add them to your ignore list because nobody wants to read about how traumatic having to scroll past a post you didn't like was. My third visit to Babylon, on a Thursday in late October.

I am starting to like Babylon. It has a good atmosphere, the food is OK, and particularly in the summer the outside is enjoyable. Well if it was any other club than Babylon you might get away with calling it spam. This is the Babytlon thread?
