I made two mid-week visits and on the whole would give it a thumbs up. Here are some details.

It is located out of the city center, so it is nowhere near the rip-off tourist centers around Reeperbahn, but I would say it is definitely closer to the city than the older Atmos club and the 125 club. The first evening I took the S-Bahn out to Hammerbrook station and walked about 20 minutes from there. I wouldn’t say Hamburg is a dangerous city but the walk is through an industrialized area, first pass car dealerships and then past many trucking companies on Sudstrasse. Interestingly, there is an active population of street girls spaced out every 25 meters as you get within a few blocks of the club. They probably service the truck drivers. At the end of the evening the club called me a taxi and it cost 15 Euros back to the city center. On my second visit I took the S-Bahn to Berliner Tor station and a taxi from there was 7 Euros. In Hamburg I like using the S-Bahn and a day pass valid on all public transport is cheap.

Now to the club. The entrance is set back at the rear of the car park. When you walk in there is a long reception counter where you pay 65 Euros and get a robe, sandals and locker/safe key (buffet and nonalcoholic drinks included). To the side of the counter are doors to a VIP room which is where they will sell you outrageously priced champagne and have girls sit with you. Needless to say I didn’t try it. The next door takes you to the changing room and showers. All clean and well laid out. Then starts the tour of the club and my first impression was that it is huge and easy to get lost in. There is one very large main room with a bar and stools, a rarely used dance stage plus a large split level area with pool, sauna, steam and deck chairs and sports massage area (funny chalk sign outside the massage room says No Blowjobs, No Handjobs – massage only). From this one giant room lead several darkened corridors leading to what seems to be hundreds of private rooms where you can take your girl. There is also a Kino with porn movies and lounges where as soon as you sit down some of the more aggressive girls will try and convince you to have a blowjob on the spot.

My main criticism of the club is the size of that main room doesn’t lend itself to any sort of cosy ambience. When I first got there I tried the sauna, steam and shower and then wanted to sit and relax to slowly get in the mood. The problem is deciding where to sit and browse the selection of girls who tend to be spread out in little clusters around this big room. Unfortunately, midweek at least, the pole dancing stage is unused, otherwise I would have just parked there and watched the passing parade. So the choice is either sit at the bar and have girls approach you, or walk around and conspicuously check out the girls sitting around. I sort of did both.

On the plus side the club is all new and shiny and the private rooms are quite nice. The main thing of course is the quality of the girls. There was definitely a broad range of international talent. You get the feeling that there are not many girls because the size of the place makes it appear empty. The less attractive, plumper and older ones seem to stick out but probably because they are more desperate and approach you first. There are also some in the 7 to 8 range and I found an attractive, young and slim Bulgarian girl who was well endowed. Standard session price is 50 Euros all covered, with extras negotiable. For my second session I found a very attractive Hungarian girl who was an uncanny look alike for Sandra Bullock and a sense of humor as well. We chatted for quite a while before ending up in one of the private rooms. She also introduced me to an intriguing looking girl who was half Korean and half Russian. She had this habit of doing cat stretches on the balustrade between the pool area and the bar area which I told her I enjoyed watching very much. It really depends on what you are seeking. If you are looking for another Oase, World, or Palace, Babylon is not for you. If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable FKK where you can take things at your own pace, the girls are attractive (but not 9s and 10s), and the girls deliver pretty good service, then its worth a visit. Two of my three sessions were completed in the comfortable, very open upstairs kino. If you aren't into that, the rooms are VERY spacious and nicely appointed.

I think Bablyon would improve with more activity (both girls and guys) if Eddie dropped the second 30 minute price to 25 euro, even if only for special days.

after leaving duisburg and checking into a hotel near koln, i headed out to babylon in elsdorf, following my gps but not really knowing where i was going. not far off the main highway, my gps told me to turn left – but there was no left to be found, only a long steel barrier. nonetheless, there was another left about 800 m further down the road and my gps recalculated a route right to the bablylon door about 18:00 hours, with a bright blue neon sign, saying “sauna club”. although there was parking available on the street, i pulled into and parked in the gravel lot behind the club, lit with an overhead streetlamp. there didn’t seem to be many cars around, but i knew the club might be slow on a wednesday evening.

inside, i found spacious, nice facilities, after paying the 60 euro entry fee. the thekefrau (not bad looking, by the way) did not speak very much english, but asked one of the girls to explain the system and costs, then pointed me toward the lockers and showers in the basement. there i found good showers with plenty of water on a timed valve, half size lockers arranged up and down, but no shelf inside. the showers need a place for towel and toiletries, but i made due with a shelf next to an opaque window. upon donning my towel and coming upstairs, the girl that translated for me took me around the club where i found very large, well appointed rooms; a nice lounge on the ground floor, a nice sauna and whirlpool area in the basement (immediately adjacent to the showers), and a very large, well appointed kino upstairs. even though it was winter, i looked for and found nothing more than a very small fenced in area outside for summertime relaxation. as explained by my guide, babylon follows the nrw procedure – you must approach girl. they will not approach you, with some exception in the downstairs hot tub. when taking a girl and room to play, a key is issued with a number and girls report number, time, and extras to front desk where each customer runs a tab, checked out and paid upon departure (bernds system). eddie, the manager, is a nice, friendly guy, very attentive to customers needs. during my stay, i found the management was truly interested in their guest’s comfort and satisfaction, even though i found that few of the girls spoke much english.

food: peas, green beans, corn, beets, fish balls soaked in vinegar (tasted as narly as it sounds), canapés (good), café machine (good). the food layout could have been good, but everything was cold by the time i was there at 19:00 hours.

pricing 50 each 30 minutes (second 30 minutes is not discounted), 25 for standard extras, anal not sure but probably available for a higher fee. about a dozen girls were present, some wearing towels, a few nude, most looking totally bored. range 5-7, one 7.5 and a 9 (cheyenne). not there from my tdl were michelle, mahe, and christina. this was apparently a slow night on a wednesday evening and the only hobbyists were me and 2 guys most of the night. there was a group of four that came in for the evening, paid most of their attention to video machines, and did not take any girls. what’s up with that?

i liked bablylon a lot (even in retrospect after visiting samya, bernds, and oase), but with a few slight modifications it could be a really nice, active club. if it were me, i’d tear out the parking lot in the back and replace it with a nice patio, small pool, and backyard sunning area. and with a modest change to the price structure, babylon could restore itself to its former heyday.
