After finding this forum and reading the wealth of fantastic info you guys have provided have booked a weeks side trip to nwr in late June (19 25)

Will visit Bernds prob 21st and stay at Hotel Reuters that night.

No wifi when I was there but that was two years back and could have changed. I kind of doubt it though as it really is a sort of small town / old world sort of place and that is a big part of its' charm in my opinion. I guess some guys like all the modern convenience (as do I at time) but Reuters is not like that. When I arrived Herr reuter was not there and he simply told me to look in one of his hiding spots for the key and check myself in. When I tried to pay in advance he waved it aside and I settled the bill as I checked out. There is just something that feels good when staying there even though it is not up to the modern standards of a 2012 hotel.

As for booking-I speak a bit of German and on the phone I find it very difficult, but I managed with some broken phrases to make myself understood. All you really need to know how to say is that you want a room, what day / time you arrive and how many nights. The hard part is understanding his replies as his accent is not easy to get even if you do speak German.

I had the same experience several times. Usually he is either buying his groceries or making deliveries between 12:30 and 16:00 (thats what he told me) but no problem here. Just let Conny phone him and he will bring the key for your room to the club when he delivers the food at the club. Now you can decide if you are going out for a little walk in between sessions (since Bernds works with "Tages-Karten". You pay for whole day entrance, multiple entry so to speak hahaha just tell Conny you will be back) and put your stuff in your room OR take it with you at the end of the day.

The other trick is (if you are a regular customer) to arrange for Reuter to leave the key somewhere outside for you to pickup while he is away (he has got some hiddingplaces I will not mention here) living in a small German village has its positive sides to!

Had the same thing happen to me at breakfast also. He had some things to do so I payed my 35€ when I came down to eat and he sayed "just leave the key in the room when you go" and left the hotel (since everything for having breakfast is on your table. You can feed several people with that!)

Yes, Reuter is a small village-hotel and sometimes its a bit noisy (caused by other hotel guests) but its clean, within walking-distance of the Club (just a few minutes) and at 35€ (including a massive breakfast) at an unbeatable price / quality ratio (his phonenumber is on the Bernds-website under "Hotels").

I had some good experiences at Hotel Landsknecht also but the price is a little higher (about 20€ more) and you need transportation to get there.

Haven't been to DE in 10 yrs (liked Oase and Atlantis then, and Zeil 39, hated Sudfass) and have an opportunity to escape reality for about 6 hrs tomorrow Tue Apr 24 afternoon while driving from BRU to FRA.

I think it's inappropriate to list specific names on this thread.

I agree, when listing certain services a girl provides (especially these) you might bring her in a difficult position. It could be that the information is not 100% correct but the next Monger could say "why don't you give me that service? I know you do, it said so on the internet!"
