Thank you for the warning on Bernds. Some crews have warned me off Bernds, these crews have similar tastes but not the exact same tastes as myself. Then on the other hand, I read the fantastic reports on the Bernds thread and wonder what to expect.

I have pencilled in two visits to Bernds already in 2009 and both have fallen through since I feel scared stiff of going. That statement may sound irrational but that is what I feel and it is hard to articulate feelings and deconstruct them.

I think my main issue is that the perception is that you seem to need German. In the Topclubs you can get away with no German. You yourself have mentioned your adversity to visiting countries unless you speak the local language and also your preference to speak German with girls that speak fluent German regardless that you speak English.

Another reason I do not get a chance to go to Bernds is that it is a weekday club and I mainly visit Germany in the weekends and the attractions of the mega clubs on their best line up days seem to sway me away.

Anyway, I have pencilled in another chance to visit Bernds with another crew member that speaks German. We will see how I go.

I was under the impression from reports that Berndt’s had been renovated, but if it has I sure couldn’t tell. Maybe they have replaced the cheesy threadbare wall to wall carpet with new cheesy threadbare wall to wall carpet or made other similar “improvements”, but they don’t jump out at the casual observer.

However I don’t understand how the 70 euro entrance fee is justified. The 70 euros is not paid to the girls, it is paid to the people who provide food and facilities that are far below the standard of the clubs that charge 65 euros.

Perhaps you can tell that my visit here was disappointing.
