This topic was covered a few times, and I really appreciated the information some members provided in the past. I wanted to contribute to the board from my own experience as well.
1. At Frankfurt airport.
a) When you arrive at Frankfurt airport, you need to go to terminal B to catch the train to Frankfurt main train station (Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof).
b) There, you need to find the depressingly confusing ticket machine (see the picture 1).
c) First, choose your language, then buy a ticket to Friedrichsdorf (punch in 5125, see picture 2).
d) The machine will ask you which route you would like to take. Choose via Bad Homburg.
e) At this point, you can choose either a day ticket or one-way. If you buy a day ticket, you can use it on the way back as well. If you buy a one-way ticket, you need to do this routine at Friedrichsdorf train station again, which is no big deal. And I found buying two one-way tickets is cheaper than buying a day ticket.
f) Then look at your train schedule from the airport to the main train station in the time schedule sheet (see picture 3). Typically, the train leaves from platform 1.
g) Once you catch the train, you will arrive at the main train station within 20 - 25 minutes.
2. At Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof
a) Once again, look for the yellow time schedule sheet and find your tain's departure time and the platform. You need to catch S-5 and Friedrichsdorf is the last train stop of the line.
b) Typically, S-5 leaves from the platform in underground (as I recall, it left from platform 109, if I wasn't mistaken). So, follow the S-bahn signs or your platform number signs.
c) When the train comes to the platform (typically on time), make sure that it's S-5 and the destination is Friedrichsdorf.
d) Once you are on the train, it will take 25 minutes to arrive at Friedrichsdorf train station.
3. At Friedrichsdorf station
a) Get off to your left. There should be a taxi.
b) If no taxi at the station, call 06172 99 77 77 or 06007 99 13 91. Both are local taxi phone numbers in Friedrichsdorf. Having a cell phone is very handy in this case. If not, there is a T mobile public phone at the station, but you may need a calling card.
c) Once you are on the taxi, it takes 5 - 6 minutes and around 8 Euro to Oase.
4. On the way back
It's exactly the same routine, but in the reverse order. I encourage you to check the time of the last train back to Frankfurt at Friedrichsdorf station before taking the taxi. When I went there last time (it was on Saturday), the last train leaves Friedrichsdorf at 0:05. So I made sure that I was able to catch that trian.
Have fun at Oase!Last edited by Rain City; 05-15-06 at 06:28. Reason: corect a few minor errors

Visited Palace and Oase last week. Oase won on all counts except perhaps the food, tho even that was ok and the service was much more friendly. Of course Oase benefits from the very large garden (yes, what is happening to the tennis court?).
When I arrived they were in the process of dealing with a man who could not pay for his session. He had a credit card but claimed to have forgotten his PIN. They were quite civil about it and did not threaten to cut off any of his appendages.
First session was with Julia, a lovely girl, very tall (183 cm), blonde, co-operative, everything you could ask for. Great fun too. Claims to be German but actually from Poland. As I fancied a double act, I asked her to pick a friend and she chose Jana (Estonia). Worked well as a double. Really good session, plenty of sex in various positions, kissing, generally very relaxed. Next Sharna, German, whom I have been with several times previously (she always seems to hang around the place and knows all the girls well). Nice person, prefers blow-jobs to sex, quite cheeky and outspoken so perhaps not for the timid. Had a second session with Julia, very good second time round. Very nice girl, but I think she only does weekends. Works in PR in Dusseldorf during the week, I think she said. Finally Camilla, young, well endowed shoolgirl type, in dark brown boots. Not very talkative (recently arrived from Poland?), but extremely obliging. I was all but knackered by this time, but she worked away bravely without complaining, where some others might have given up, and we got there in the end.
Very good experience overall, infinitely preferable to Palace!

Posts: 25010 days ago I had a 5 hour layover at Frankfurt airport. I had a car booked, and it turned out it had a GPS in it. Since I knew exactly where to go (Oase!), I did not need to use the GPS, but I fiddled around with it anyway. And - among "Recent Destinations" - what do I find programmed? Yes, Ober Erlenbacherstrasse .... no street number - but someone MUST have been going to Oase.
Actually, a five hour layouver is perfect: Drive the 30 kilometers (19 miles) to Oase, do 2-3 sessions, have some food, do some sauna, and then drive back to the airport after 3 hours at Oase.

The are in the process of removing the tennis court. It is just as well for I never saw anyone use it, clothed or otherwise.
The parking is free.

I haven't been in a while.
1) Has anyone seen anyone actually play tennis on the tennis courts? If yes, clothed or in the nude?
2) Do they still charge for parking in the parking lot?
Thanks.

Posts: 250Take the S-bahn all the way to Friedrichsdorf, then change to the smaller train which waits at the station, and take that train to the next stop which is Burgholzhausen. Then walk for 15 minutes to Oase.
If you want to go from Frankfurt Main Hauptbahnhof (main train station) to Burgholzhausen on Monday at about 16:00, this is what www.db.de recommends (take S5 to Friedrichsdorf and then HLB83750 to Burgholzhausen):
Frankfurt Hbf (tief) Mo, 08.05.06 depart 15:54 104 S5 S-Bahn
Friedrichsdorf(Taunus) Mo, 08.05.06 arrive 16:20
Friedrichsdorf(Taunus) Mo, 08.05.06 depart 16:26 HLB83750
Burgholzhausen v d H Mo, 08.05.06 arrive 16:29

Thanks to Beffen, Dedalus and Free Derry for pointing out the wrong address in the googlemap reference in the Travel plans and announcements thread.
Saves me wandering aimlessly around the German countryside when the time could be spent in more rewarding pursuits.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Oase on Ober-Erlenbacherstrasse and not Ober Eschbacherstrasse. The satellite view from the link for the Ober- Eschbacherstrasse also does not look like the farm fields and rolling hills that I remember surrounding Oase.
Also, it is indeed better to take the S-bahn all the way to the end to Friedrichsdorf, it is only two stops further and no more than 6 or 8 minutes and the taxi only costs 7 or 8 euro rather than the 15+ at Bad Homburg. If that's not closer then I dont know what is.
beffen- who hasn't been there in a while but remembers it well.

Posts: 9No chance! There is no u bahn, just a bus station. From the bus station it is to far away for a walk (round about 30 minutes and no sidewalk).

Has anyone used the U Bahn stop at Ober Eschbach as a starting point to walk to Oase?
From the map it seems that this station is only a few hundred metres away and convenient for a short walk.
