Here is the route I was always take:

1. Take S9 and not the express trains. The express trains are erratic and sometimes late. What is worse, you then have to make your way from the main train section of the frankfurt hbf to the s bahn section.

2. At the s-bahn station at the airport, go to the machine at the platform itself and buy ticket to Bad Homburg. Return ticket gives savings. The machine at the platform has no queue. Machine at the station has queue that can take up to 10 minutes.

3. The s9 comes strictly at 15 minute intervals. The journey to frankfurt takes 15 minutes.

4. Upon arrival at frankfurt, do not go to the main station. Just climb up the steps 1 level, and go back down another escalator near it to the other side of the platform.

5. From the other side, catch S5 to Bad Homburg. Trains to Bad Homburg comes every 15 minutes. To Friedrichsdorf it is 30 mins. The gap between arrival of s9 and departure of s5 is about 5 minutes. So, that is why there is no time to waste in crossing the platform.

6. It is then 27 minutes to Bad Homburg, where there are always taxis available. At Friedrichsdorf, there are often no taxis in the morning, or on Sundays. Taxi takes 10 minutes to apace.

Maximum time is therefore 85 mins and minimum is 70 mins when you are lucky enough to catch the S9 immediately.

All very good advice.

The only caveat I would add here is that while it is true that the S5 is on a 15 minute interval during the week, everyone should keep in mind that the S5 is on a 30 minute interval on the weekends. If you happen to just miss the previous S5 on a Saturday or Sunday, you can really lose some serious time. Luckily, the digital signs on the platform show you exactly how much time you have to kill.

I would recommend that first timers pay especially close attention to number 2 above (that is, there is always a queue at the machines upstairs but no queue downstairs on the platform) and number 4 (the escalators to the S5 are easy to miss for first timers coming off of the S9 so that's a really good tip to only go up one level on the escalators and then *immediately* look to your left for the down escalators to the S5. If you're walking all around the station looking for the S5, you've gone too far. If this happens, just retrace your steps back to the S9).

Also if you are unlucky on the weekends, you can wait a good 20 minutes I think for the S9 to arrive at the airport.

It should be maximum 75 minutes and minimum 60 minutes.

Yes, the 30min is when you have a car or take a cab. A car with GPS will take you to Oase even if you've never been there.

It's actually 25 mnts according to Google Maps. If you get the right cab driver, he can get you there in less than 20.

I suspect that it depends on how you get there. If you rent a car or take a taxi, then I suppose it can be 30-40 minutes.

But if you take a more conservative approach, which would be Airport Express train from the airport to the city center, followed by the S-Bahn to Bod Homberg, followed by a cab ride, it is longer. Each train ride is 30 minutes. The cab ride is about 15 minutes. Then allow yourself about a total of 30 minutes to buy train tickets, walk from platform to platform, etc, and its about 90 minutes. And that does NOT allow for unexpected things like late trains, just missing the train and having to wait 20 minutes for the next one, etc.

Saying its only 30 minutes away may be technically true if you have a car, have been there before, and know exactly where to go. But for anyone else, I would say 90 minutes or more.

I visited Oase last night, Weds, from 20. 30-03. 00. I had been reading posts over the past few weeks which claimed the Oase line-up was in shambles, a pale version of what it once was, these posts said. Well, I entered with neutral expectations but was extremely pleasantly surprised by the quality and diversity of the line up I saw. In a word: Fantastic! In my opinion, the Oase line up is now back to full force, in fact, better than it was during my last visits back in mid-January, even better than last November.

During the middle evening there must have been well over 70 girls. A nice mix of old faces and new ones. I chatted to many, but took my time exploring the erotic possibilites without committing to sessions right away. From my perspective there were many, many good choices and, as always, it is up to each male guest to weed out the bad choices from the good GFE-pse providers, of which one is spoiled for choice. Recently there were posts saying the session standard at Oase has been corrupted, has "gone Palace" and that one cannot find a good ole 50e / 30mins winner session anymore at this club. Let me provide some background first: I am going to Western Europe for several days and have a plan to spend several hours at Oase on Monday afternoon 17 June from 2pm to 8pm (one time only).
