I was n't that keen on using a taxi at high rates thus Oase was not first choice but your directions on public transport clinched it for me. Maybe Palace on the next trip (i go Frankfurt every few months on business).

Yes a taxi from Frankfurt city to Oase is like €40 to €45 but if you negotiate with the taxi drivers you can do it for a flat fee of €30. I usually have to have a girl do this for me as I don't have the legs and the tits to convince the Friedrichsdorf taxi drivers to do me a deal so I usually end up paying the metered fare if I have to get back to Frankfurt in a hurry by taxi.

I think a visit to Palace will round out your experience. It feels cleaner (clean sheets on the bed for each session in the room) and better organised there.

LOGISTICS OF GETTING TO FKK OASE

06:30 Wake up, shower, shave and pack my long weekend roller luggage. I also pack my GPS even though I expect to be on public transport since I may want to hire a car or use it at street level.

07:40 I leave my home and walk to the local train station.

07:55 once I reach the local train station I take the train to the Docklands and have to change trains to get to LCY. Trains are frequent as it is morning rush hour. My travel card covers these zones so need to pay more for a travel extension.

08:15 I arrive at LCY and since I am early I browse the bookshop and check out the exchange rates. The rate is €1.18 per GBP1. 13:13 Arrive at Friedrichsdorf (Taunus). It is the last stop on the Friedrichsdorf (Taunus) die bahn line.

13:15 I walk to Friedrichsdorf’s main street to do some shopping for chocolate and snacks before heading to the Mercure Hotel bad Homburg Friedrichsdorf.

The room price is €39 for a classic single room with own shower bathroom. Breakfast €15 extra which I did not take as I eat breakfast at Oase. The Oase breakfast is a boiled egg, rolls or croissants, various spreads like butter and jam and cereals with milk. The Oase breakfast is not as good as Hotel Mercure’s buffet breakfast of cold meats, cheeses, various breads, juices, cereals and fruits but you are not paying €15 for it. I had booked Hotel Mercure well in advance to take advantage of the early bird discount.

The Mercure hotel is chain hotel that provides a good standard room. The area is fairly quiet. If you get a room on the road side and leave the windows open then there is road noise. The place is clean and tidy and there is an indoor swimming pool and sauna which in all my visits I have never used. Shame it does not have naked girls then I would just never leave Hotel Mercure. There is also the free car park.

- You get what you pay for. A pension is not a hotel. You get a small but clean room with a bed & tv. Also a small bathroom with shower. Breakfast for an additional fee. No other service or amenities. The bed is hard, so if you need a soft bed to rest in after being "beaten up by girls all day & night", you better stay away!! ;-) Also, Burgholzhausen is basically empty for amenities (except for two small pizzerias/biergartens).

- Coming by car you will appreciate easy parking. Public transport: I agree, with luggage it is better to take a taxi from Friedrichsdorf (8 euros). The local train from Friedrichsdorf to Burgholzhausen is of course another option for those on a budget. But note that this local train only goes once every hour, and there is no train after 9pm (?) and on Sundays. Distance from train station to the pension is 1,5 km (1 US mile), and a further 1,5 km in the same direction you have Oase. There is also a bus system in the area that I am not familiar with.

- You are right, no ATMs in Burgholzhausen as far as I know. Truth is, there is basically nothing in Burgholzhausen - except for a beautiful little house full of naked girls ... ;-)

- Why do prices vary? I don't know for sure. High season/low season? Messe/No Messe? Arriving late or early? Making reservation in advance or not? I have tried different options and found just showing up to be the best solution. But note that this little pension can be surprisingly full. Usually Messe encourage a price raise in the area, yes. Some guys and some girls may beg to differ but generally I think that the time in the kino is excluded from time in the room. Your 30 minutes start when you enter the room.

In saying that though I come so quickly that it does not matter how long I spend in the kino plus the room as its is rarely more than 30 minutes collectively.

Let me begin with a huge thank-you for all the information posted here. I'm new to the ISG forums but have been doing my research for Frankfurt Fkks. I stay in near the Messe, so was initially thinking of trying Palace, but the information given thus far seems to point to Oase as the best place for a 'virgin' experience.

I tried Palace as my first ever FKK over a 5 day planned long weekend. I arrived in FRA late at 4:15pm after missing my 11am arrival by forgetting my passport at my departure port and needing to buy another flight after going home to pick my passport up. I was in Palace by 6pm or so if I recall after checking into my hotel, fluffling around with FX, working out how trains and U bahns worked.

I had no problem with Palace as my first visit as it was close to town and was doable by public transport (no taxi scams) or needing to ask for directions. If you are confident and happy to play the field and have a few euros in your pocket to afford more than just the one €50 session then I think most of the clubs are fine. But yes I agree Oase is a great club as a first time, it is just a bit harder to get to Oase than Palace on public transport. I always take taxis at the end of the train line at Friedrichsdorf to Oase - pay €8-10 for that leg one way.

I intend to 'begin' on 10 June between 3pm til late and wonder if any of you experts will be around to guide me round.

Shame. I miss your visit by several days as we could have hooked up.

pension wall recently charged eur 26 per night. prices vary though. i have paid everything between 26- 36 euros for a night.

pension wall at €26 a night for a single is better than hotel mercure at €39 a night for a single. i am not sure of the quality but given my stays are like a few hours of sleep in between fkk visits it matters little.

pension wall looks like 1km walk from oase. easy stroll there and back. only problem is pension is a 4 km walk from friedrichsdorf station which once again is onerous but not like walking 10km. just do not take heavy luggage.

my other issue is access to cash machines which reguires a trip to town in friedrichsdorf for the volksbank or dresdner or ing atms there.

in saying that over a two day visit to oase staying at pension wall at €26 saves €13 on the room and as you are not paying as a minimum €8 one way taxis then that is another €32 totalling €45 which is nearly the cost of a standard session.

i do not have a hire car since most things are walkable form public transport if i go to palace or oase even walking from friedrichsdorf to oase is possible if you are happy to take 45 minutes or so to walk there along the grass verge where cars whizz by at breakneck speeds.

when you paid €36 a night was that because of messe or because you received a double room and not a single room? i would be interested in knowing.

I have to say there have been some excellent reports lately. I have been visiting Oase a couple of times this year and I must say that the overall quality is currently amazing. Many very nice girls have been mentioned in this thread but one I think I haven't seen is Georgi, short, tight brunette. Is from Romania and usually dances at the club.
