Thanks for the positive feedback on Mecure Hotel in Bad Homburg/Friedrichsdorf. I am paying 39€ a night excluding breakfast this trip for the Mecure whereas at the Hotel Excelsior near the main Hbf it was not much more at 53€ a night including a lavish breakfast. I was will miss the Excelsior. The breakfast at Mecure is 15€ extra which I may pass on unless at the time I feel so ravenous coming back at 5:30am (after 5 am closing at Oase) that I cannot resist and pile in as nothing else is open at the time of the morning.

If you add the 15€ breakfast to my single bedroom cost of 39€ I get 54€ per night but the difference is I am close to Oase and within striking distance of World and Palace and a place to park my hire car.

You sure have a lot of stamina staying up so late. I only stayed up to 5 am one time and that was on the Saturday night during my Easter trip at Oase.

I too public transport to all the Hessen clubs on my Easter trip staying across the road from the Frankfurt Hbf but this time I am going to be hiring a motor vehicle. Parking at Mecure hotel is free I understand. It was also fairly good deal at 39€ or 41€ a night but the conditions were it had to be prepaid and non cancelleable and did not include breakfast whereas at Hotel Excelsior at the Hbf it was 53€ a night for a single room with breakfast, free mini bar and free internet. The location of Hotel Excelsior is also excellent being right in the middle of town so great if on public transport but less so with motor vehicle because of needing to park the car somewhere.
