Was thinking more along the lines of say 3 guys wanting a ride from their hotel in bad homburg or friedrichsdorf to the club...not the other way around. The driver will collect 30 after the 3 guys check into the club. 30 euro's for a quick ride in the morning/afternoon when people needing a ride are harder to come by...telling the guy that you'll wait for the next cab or walk to the club might get you a free ride.

I think the taxi drivers get so used to getting €18 for a one way trip that tehy hate it when they only get €8 to drive you back from Oase to the Friedrichsdorf train station.

There was one time at Oase when another guy and I shared a taxi from Oase to Friedrichsdorf train station at about 4am. The taxi driver when he dropped us both off demanded €10 from each of us to a total of €20. I had asked prior to getting to the train station the price as the taxi driver had not turned the meter on. The taxi driver had said €10 which I thought was fair at that time of night and there was two of us.

I was quite disturbed at the tantrum that eventuated by the Taxi Driver when I disagreed to €10 each. We paid €10 and I went halves on that with the other gentleman.

On a visit to Oase two weeks ago,I made my way via the S5 train and then the railbus to Burgholhausen and started to walk the 2 km to Oase,when passing the pension wall(about half way) a taxi,which was empty stopped and offered me a lift,with no charge,I realised he would get a commission purely by taking me in to Oase,so he did me a favour and I did him a favour in return,this this is the first time in all my world travels,I had been picked up by a taxi and got the ride for free.it was a monday night and quite slow,I went with Roxanne from Estonia,Verona from Croatia,Miriam from India,and Gina from Turkey,all in all, a good nights mongering,but quite slow in the club.

This is about a 40 kilometre one way trip so budget about €46 to €52.

The quotes for this 35 kilometre trip are around €40 to €45 for the one way trip depending on the time of day.

Taxi from Oase to Frankfurt Hbf average about €40 on the meter. The taxi drivers tend to do the same for the girls for €30. You can always negotiate with the driver for a flat fee for €30.

From Friedrichsdorf bahnof to Oase you can at times get a flat fee for €8 and not on the meter. Depends on if the guy is having a good day. Remember that the taxi drivers get a €10 commission from Oase for taking you with is paid out of your €65 entry fee.

I will be staying at the Mercure Hotel in Friedrichsdorf and was wondering if there are any ATM's around before I call a cab and arrive at Oase?

Across the road from Mercure hotel is a 24 hour ATM at the petrol service station. It takes international cards and is a ING diba bank machine.

On the Friedrichsdorf high street there are many banks like Sparkase, Volksbank and Dresdner Bank. You use your card to gain access then use your card in the ATM.

The closest ATM to Oase is the Sparkasse in Burgholzhausen which is about 2 km from Oase.

I think many people know – or at least should know ;–)
The name of one of the German forum does refer to this historical background – in a almost self-ironic way, the readers and contributors call themselves "Romans".

Recently, there was even the (ironic) question whether FKK World is still – geographically – within the old borders of the Roman empire or not. There are the remains of a Roman watchtower respectively the "limes" near/in Pohlheim (actuallly I think it's more sort of a restored tower).
