Just wanted to add something to the La Paz scene. Spent a Friday night in December at Amnesia with my Mexican novia. They made me pay a $5 cover each and later found out that entitled us to a free drink. Small club, but clean and reminded me of a mid-range US club. Somewhat busy and there were at least 12 girls in the dance rotation. Typical mix; some pros, some first timers, only a few that I was attracted to. Amnesia has more of a strip club feel than a chica bar. The Latinos rarely, if ever, tip the dancers when they are on stage. Found out the private dances in the back room cost $20 US but I never investigated.

While at our table we flagged down one girl and within seconds of her sitting in my lap a waiter rushed over to ask me to buy her a ficha drink. ¡Ay, caramba! Was at Matzalan one week but could go out for two days only. Took a Pulmonia' driver who took me to 3 houses and quality was poor, so passed. One was Las Fondas. The lady mentioned more choices after 800PM as I was ther at 600PM. Next time the pulmonia driver tried a contact a girl who "worked" at Hippocampo who wanted 1200peso plus room andC. I passed as I could not see her and the pulmonia driver was thinking she may be greedy and I was dependent on him having bought odds and ends to store in the boot. I lived in La Paz, speak Spanish, and go back to visit over the years. I have read some reports here about it and they are not exactly accurate.

The scene in La Paz is a little bit difficult, in Mexico hooking is not considered a nice thing so with all the guilt attached to it (as opposed to Asian attitudes) , the customer feels different in Mexico than in other places. I would much rather monger in China than in Mexico, but anyway, this is a worthless comment to some here.

There are several strip joints in La Paz. The reported deal is you can get one of the hot dancers to fuck for 1500 pesos. It may be true, since a woman I fucked from one place was later working as a stripper at another place.

Strip Joints: Lord Black, Amnesia. Run by the same bunch, red hot women, clip joints but you may be able to get a woman there to do something later on and pay her for it. Seems like too much trouble, but the locals have told me they are sometimes available to rent.

Strip Joint: Tabaris. I loved this place because it is so small you are very close up to the gorgeous girls. It is hard to find and I have not been there in a few years.

Strip Joint / Brothel: This is "Ranchito", on the road out of town south towards Cabo San Lucas. The deal is the girls there are for rent. This means there are little, nasty, squalid rooms to do the deed with the girl. I think I paid more than 1000 pesos but did not like the deal. A guy bangs on the little room's door if you are not finished yet. Not really worth it for me. I bet the price is up since I was there.

Unknown place next to Ranchito: There was a new place that I have not checked out which was evidently similar, with strippers.

Real Brothel: The previously mentioned "Vickis". This is take out. You go, meet some, pick one, pay 1500 pesos and keep her for 2 hours. The problem is you also pay for a love "motel" place so your little visit will cost you an additional 400 pesos or so for a room. I have heard that you can also order a girl like a pizza, call the place and have one delivered to you! My friend did this one time.

Bar / Brothel / take out: Maybe a new place. My friend recently went to a place called Corita which is a bar / brothel where you pick out a girl, pay the man and have her for 2 hours. 1500 pesos. He told me it's not far from Lord Black. I have not seen it yet.

My local info source is a couple of Mexican professional guys who have money for hookers sometimes. The interesting thing is La Paz seems to have plenty of divorced women and widows (car crashed husbands are common I guess). One of my friends mostly goes out with horny divorcees or widows, but one agreed to a threesome, so he took one from Corita.

I also have had the luck of meeting some girls on my travels, so I usually have some "freebies" to keep me occupied the last few times I went down.

I have been to the strip clubs and used Viki and Ranchito myself, but the recent price info came from my friend who took a girl from Corita a couple weeks ago.

"Casa de Vicky" is a pick up and go type of place where the Madam (Vicky presumably) offers the line up of usually 3 to 5 so-so girls.

"Lord Black" is a regular Mexican strip joint. They hammer you with "chica drinks" and you can get a lap dance in the VIP section where you can negotiate for a BBBJ directly with the girl, or you can go for full service if you offer her enough. (I highly recommend a girl called Diana with short black hair and incredible jugs)

If you're in a hotel, you can usually ask your bellhop or concierge to call "El Pelon" or "Zapato" as those are the two most famous pimps in this area.

Zapato in particular can bring you a whole buffet to your room if you so request, and has some really nice chicas in his stable. He also owns that bar Corita and is usually seen sitting on a stool in front of it. Price is usually 1500 pesos, or 150 US. Girls told me he usually keeps 500 pesos of that for himself, and they are quite willing to give you their phone number for you to call them direct. I usually do that, and ask them to bring "friends" with them. Treat these girls nice and they will spend all night with you for the one time fee.

the only way to do it maz from my experience is to get a pulmonia driver that you are comfortable with. many will offer to take you somewhere. tell him you want some chicas and he will take you to whoever pays him to take you there. usually three chicks, two not-so-good, meaning if that's all that's available you just go for a bj. but one is usually doable. usually single moms that listened to the pope on birth control now have to use it in order to support the results. mazatlan is getting progressively more dangerous. it's still not really unsafe, but proceed with caution. it's usually 800 pesos (70ish dollars) for an hour and you better tip your pulmonia driver or you may find yourself stranded.
