Well, 7,000 pesos is better than $350 USD. And he must have forgot I was supposed to pay $500 USD. I didn't take a lady though.

After I left, the guy that took me there was following me around for awhile to try to catch me going back alone. I wasn't dumb. He later talked to me again, and he sent some messages and made some calls. He found a girl named Lupita. But the price wasn't firm. He was trying to extract all the money he could from me. We got it down to $130 USD, but it wasn't clear. I think he wanted us to go to Casa Rosada. He was going to give me a ride there with his buddy. Well, I wasn't about to hop in this guys car with his buddy and go somewhere that I don't know, and not know how much I exactly have to pay, and not really know what this girl looks like. The pictures were not very good. So I declined. He was with me about 30 minutes, so I gave him a 100 pesos so he wouldn't have any hard feelings and would leave me alone.

I think $350 is way too much, but if you go, don't let some guy escort you there. When I was in Playa Del Carmen about 5 months ago I could swear I seen working ladies walking around. But I didn't see them just hanging out this time.

Went to PDC recently and visited the Pleasure Palace after a long night at the bars. It was generally a really nice experience, very professional for the most part. I paid with credit card, and they charged me for an extra 50 pesos. I pointed it out, and they wouldn't give me 50 pesos back, and they wouldn't cancel the charge. Compare the craigslist pictures to the ones for the Pleasure Palace website. When I was there, they all got back to me promptly. Rates were reasonable. Because of schedule, I was unable to schedule any of the CL girls. But I will next time in town.

My advice is to network with a local or two. There are "underground" establishments where anything goes. Just keep a sober mind.

This has been my first trip to Playa del Carmen area and what I have found:

Brothels: Pleasure Palace at far southern end of Calle Quinta Avenida. One block south of Ave Juarez between Quinta and 10th Avenue. Excellent establishment and girls. Will set you back $300 per session, but totally no hassle environment. Did not learn of any others in the area.

Massage: Everywhere you go. Of the dozen or so along Calle Quinta Avenida, I tried three. All were legit, draped and fantastic. No hint of extras.

Clubs: Chilly Willy's is on the main highway on the right just south of Playa del Carmen. There is also Marlin Men's Club that is along the feeder street along the Highway bridge heading south. I was not able to get to either, but both are on Facebook and have websites.

Craigslist: There are several listings on the Yucatan Craigslist under "relaciones esporadicas". I contacted them and all responded promptly with availability. I could not commit to a fixed schedule, so did not engage. I will look at this more closely next time.

First of all, can the mods let Play del Carmen have its own section and not relegate it into the "Other Areas" section??

CL doesn't have many escort ads but the ones I saw were USA prices and aimed at gringos. BP is all ads for Pleasure Palace. Casa Rosa hotel on 307. North of Constituyentes, about 100 for two hours. Rum, something just south of Marlins on the highway.

There is a new one, nice just south of chilly willys. Chocolate something. Expensive.

There are a dozen others around town but are hard to find unless you live in playa.
