Going to Playa in May and have a few questions: Where is the best place -bar, club, resturant to pick up women that you can bring back to your hotel?

I see in some posts that several of the clubs have rooms in the back but based on past experience I would rather do the hotel scenario.

Also is it worth it to rent a car there or just take cabs around?

And do any of the clubs have local chicks that just want to have a good time?

This place is really just an old-fashioned bordello with massage services thrown-in. Visited there mid-March '03 and again in '04 and found the following: at least 4 girls available around the clock (in '04, the selection had declined),7/7, 365/365 (so says the matron),2 of whom I'd rate at least 8. Prices (you'll be giving yourself a discount by paying in pesos, as quoted here):1 hr. = 1,000;45 min. = 900; 30 min. = 800; 20 minutes = 700; 15 min.= 600(I assume the latter prices serve to make the place accessible to the locals who can only afford a quickie rapidissimo). If you want a massage as prelude, just ask for one.
Location: on a dirt street just off Avenida 30 (approximately calle 28). Tell the cab driver (should cost 15 pesos one way--don't have him wait, since you can always catch a cab back on Avenida 30) that you want to go to "El Fogon" on Ave.30 near calle 28 (there's another one on Ave. 30, so make sure he understands you want the one near calle 28). Then walk the 100 feet in the direction of the ocean to the entrance (past "La Selva" cantina--didn't check it out but possibly interesting), look for a yellow painted entranceway with iron gate. Keep buzzing until you get an answer (they're slow to respond). The Madame will escort you in, call down the girls to introduce themselves, and then show you the price list. On your way out, be sure to grab some tacos al pastor (pork with pineapple) at El Fogon (5pm -4am), really scrumptious.

After reading some of the posts here on the Playa Del Carmen I tried to check them out while I was briefly there. Only ended up having one night free. Asked taxi driver to take me to Malibu's or Baby Dolls since those came across as reputible on here.

Driver said Malibu's was closed and didn't know where Baby Dolls was. Offered up Chilly Willy's and I agreed. I am realizing now that Chilly Willy's probably pays these taxi's for bringing in the customers.

Paid a steep $25(US) entry fee and entered the club. Nice place and lots of girls. Mostly girls in the 6-8 range, but there were a couple of 9's. I was in my seat less than a minute before the girls started coming by. Idle chat then hit up for the deal. They were all pushing $200(US) for F/S for one hour and $60(US) for the room. The best I could talk them down to was $160(US) for F/S, so with room was still $220 total. That is more than I pay in the states and well damn if I am gonna pay more in Mexico.

After I tried negotiating with a couple of girls the police showed up with a force of about 20 cops. Took all the girls in the back to check papers, brought in dogs to search for drugs, searched a few customers (didn't bother with me though), and left after about half an hour. I left as soon as they did.

This place was too expensive for me, but if you are willing to pay the price not a bad place.

I am planning a trip back to Playa Del Carmen in a few weeks. I was there last year and spent some time getting to know the area, but I know I missed a few places.

I visited Spa Ha, which was a nice spa. The girls were pretty decent, but I was not able to choose the girl of my choice. I was only offered a hj. I read another post that said they do offer full service. Can anyone verify this? Also, I went to Baby Dolls and most girls were only a 5-6. Didn't like that place too much as there were too many drunk locals. I got a private dance from a blonde with a great body (and not so great face) and was given a bbbj for $20usd. Was able to touch her everywhere, which she enjoyed by showing me how wet she could get when fingered.

I know of the following dance/strip clubs: Chilly Willeys (south of Playa), Baby Dolls and Malibu's. I know of the following spa's: Spa Ha.

I'm hoping someone can give me further information on a few other places I have heard of, or any that I have not listed. From what I have gathered from other posts, there is La Selva, El Marlin Safari, Papa (or Popa) Cubanos and Playa Spa. Are these places all in Playa and what types of services and costs should I expect.

I saw your post and regret I couldn't post this sooner to help you before your trip.

I have have been in Merida 5 or 6 times. I used to have a Mexican girlfriend there. It's been about 3 or 4 years since I've been down there, but here's some info that may help.

I haven't tried the SWs or massage in Merida, but I have tried the clubs and find them much better than tourist trap Cancun.

There are plenty of brothel type clubs in Merida known as Clubes Nocturnes (night clubs). Most are listed in the phone directory. Most of these clubs do not have rooms on the premises but they work on the bar fine system where you pay to take the girl out of the club.

I got the scoop on these clubs from two taxidrivers who took me there. Unlike Cancun, the taxistas are not ripoff artists in Merida and most are quite honest.

I went to two of these nightclubs, Club Nohay Nohay (sp? ) and Club Cascada. Expect to pay about half or less of what you would pay in Cancun for the same piece of ass AND you get double or more the amount of time! . Plus there's some nice looking women in these clubs.

Club Nohay Nohay is a local hangout and a real bargain. Not sure of the spelling of the club name. No English spoken here and didn't see any gringos. Better be able to speak at least a little Spanish. Girls are young (average 18-20). It's a dance club, but ask the waiter to get you whatever girl you like off the floor. If you don't ask, some will approach you and sit next to you.

If I remember right, there was a small cover under $5 to enter this club (like about $2). Drinks were about $1 for Mexican beer. Remember, this a club for Mexican locals and most of them don't have that much money.

The protocol is to buy the girl at least one drink. If you want to take her out of the club, there is a bar fine. I remember paying about a $10 bar fine, $5 plus tip roundtrip taxi to the motel next door. $30 to the girl for about 90 minutes of sex. and $1 tip (propina) to the doorman at the motel.

The taxidriver actually waited the 90 minutes in his cab outside the motel door while he read the newspaper. All told about $53 (cover charge, two drinks, bar fine, taxi to and from motel, girl's fee, doorman tip), not including taxifare to the club from my hotel and back.

Got some great sex from a 20 year old Yucatec girl who was dressed in all silk underwear. Of course, you have to like Yucatec girls to partake of them. They typically have olive skin and somewhat flat noses.

The other club I went to was Club Cascada. It looks like a thatched hut, Polynesian decor. This is a higher class club which is more expensive. Mexicans with more money or some tourists go here. You'll see a few gringos (not many) and at least one waiter will speak English. About $8 cover to enter.

There is a stage show at Cascada by a Mexican band, but it's mostly couples dancing. Most hookers sit at tables by themselves if not busy. The girls don't seem to approach you here. You need to sit down next to them or ask the maitre 'd for help in getting a girl. (His name was Miguel when I was there). Don't worry, there are plenty of girls. No beer served, only vino (wine) and it's more expensive (more like $5 a drink).

The protocol at Cascada is to buy several drinks for the girl. Then you can pay the bar fine of about $50 to take her to a nearby motel. About the same costs for the motel, taxi, and doorman as above, except, the girl did not ask for a fee on top of the bar fine. Evidently, the house splits the bar fine with the girl.

At the motel, got about 90 minutes of great sex with a 25 year old natural blondie from Monterrey. Thought I may have shorted her because I didn't tip anything after the bar fine, but she never asked for anything more and she was happy to see me again on another night.

Looks like the house at Cascada holds her money and splits it later (50/50), unlike the first club. In fact, on the second visit, I paid the same bar fine and because it was a slow night, she came to my hotel for the entire night. I gave her a $30 tip in the morning plus taxifare and she was happy as hell.

A good hotel in Merida is Hoteles Montejo on Paseo Montejo. There are two nearby restaurants and they're cool about bringing in girls at night as long as you're not blatant about it.

"El Marlin Safari and Papa Cubanos

I did finally make it it both El Marlin Safari and Papa Cubanos, Which is at the end of the parking lot of a huge Grocery store - department store.

El Marlin Safari was really nice inside, I like that one the best of all.

I would go back to El Marlin Safari for the atmophere. Could sit there for a few hours drinking beers and enjoying the club.

Was in Playa Del Carmen in September. Two places that I did not see on the board, Babes and Malibu's I wanted to post a report about. Both places are located practically right next to each other on the main Hwy right outside the city. Malibu's is a huge Mexican restaurant that has girls in it that come to your table that you can have sex with. The Restaurant was great, full to the max with people spending lots of money on food and drink, both times I was there. Everyone was Mexican in the place, I was the only American in there both times. The girls were not as good as the restaurant, all being 4 and 5"s. Still it was a neat atmosphere, the local Mexican population knows how to have fun in in that place.

Babes was full the one time I went there and the girls were about 2 points better. So around 6 and 7"s in there. Saw one 9,but that was it. At least the place had a half decent crowd, because Acapulco Heat was closed at this time,and Chilly Willy's had very few people in it. Plus Chilly Willy's is much farther out and will cost you more for the Cab ride.

This is not the season, so it is probably better during the tourist season.

Last week I was in Playa del Carmen. I walked the streets on the little tourst town and could not stir up any action. Asking some cab drivers, locals and several employees on the resort, the Main places seemed to be Chilly Willies, Marlin's safari and a Massage place ovwe on 28th street. I had been to the Massage plece last year. They seem to always have some very young girl and only one. the Price is $90 for a half hour, but there does not seem to be any rush. The place is OK but rather different. You pay the lady down stairs and then go up to see the girl. It is very layed back and no one has ever been there. I think Chilly's is OK but some what of a srip off. This year I did not go there. I heard the same $20- 30 to get inthe place and then 20-30 dollars for drinks and then we get down to the right girl. I guess a $100 plus will do the trick.

So I did visit Marlin's. It is on the other side of the main highway. When I was there there were only local Mexicans in the place. It was $20 to get in. There were maybe 10 girls therek. Most were 5 to 7s A little blond jumped on my lap and we proceeded to make a deal. $80 for her and 20 for the room. The room was not good, needed some cleaning and repairs. She seemed to want to hurry this along BOTH BY BJAND FS>
