I always ignored them, but last summer a super hot one finally got me to come over and sit down. We finished two large bottles of tsing tao in about15 minutes. Shocked to get a 100 rmb invoice.

LHL umbrella stands have decimated to 25percent the original numbers. A 80-day old mega mall & cinema development unlike LHL ,for dinner dates / shopping. . It is big enough to provide Free shuttle from 6 locations.

Hope Zhuhai is cooler than 35 degrees next trip. Sorry, No SW in the new mall but cross the street into NANPING hid several BBS. Like EDDDIE FASTer last said, New Year crack downs had lasting effects. They may be gone. Gongbei hotels never gave me any LE vibes, but be careful the bellboy / manager watching punter activity. A reward lurks for them.

Kingdo is a relatively new hotel, not far from LHL. Several SW pace the street between LHL and Kingdo late nights. Caution, their "room" may be planted with thieves / swindlers.

Most ISG member don't know where Nanping is most only know Gongbei and LHL, There are a few hotel there my favorite the International hotel sauna closed down 2 yr ago across from the Seafood st there are many BBS around the area but all closed down 3 yr ago already, I don't know why they open a brand new mall there not many tourist go there all resident and local worm like you have fun in London see you soon in AC and Cebu.

I was in Zhuhai late July early Aug. I don't know anything about the new mall or hotel raids. I did walk LHL a few times. I didn't get a SW this trip. It seemed like there were fewer girls than previously, but I think a big part of that is they don't approach Caucasian guys. It can be hard to pick out the working girls. I watched for girls trying to pick up Chinese guys.

Maybe on Saturday or Sunday, there might be couple at 3 pm, but not many. The high time seems to be about 7 PM to 9 PM.

New Mall "HAUFA Zin Do" launched June 1 . It is an interesting vivid structure waiting for 30 percent more shops to OPEN. Many international name brands are present. It is served by an elite supermarket, cafe, restaurants, fast food if you prefer. Location is West end of JuiZhouDaDao, just before NANPING. Free shuttle every hour from Gongbei Eastside near Macau crossing. Best time to visit after dark , see the water fountains and light displays akin to Macau.

SW on LHL are magnet to older looking tourists types, Asian males especially those walking alone. Leggy high heels and thick makeup seems to be their trademark , starting late afternoons. YMMV, every time.

There are no hotel raid in Zhu Hai just many crack down on bbs and KTV many is closed down early this yr, The only hotel raid that I know is in CP and Donnguan where central Government is offering reward for the arrest on drug and Prositiution.

Recent visit to the umbrella stands did not yield any familiar faces sitting along with screaming bunny-ear Beer Girls . However LHL street gals parade went on unchecked by LE. Lots of cute dressed gals giving out phone numbers just South of the stands. ,,, "lets play" they say. Coming from Hunan ,GuangXi , Dongbei It's their game. Haaa YMMV with the 300 RMB quote, One gal insisted "NO MORE THAN 30 minutes". Compare that with 600-800 RMB sauna prices in Zhuhai if you find hotels offering the service. Many remain closed after the new year.

Some has mentioned about the possible emergence of Zhuhai as the mongering destination to replace Chang Ping's recent demise, but IMHO, this is not likely to happen.

One must not forget that Zhuhai used to be the sauna center of Southern China with all sorts of facilities and price levels. And the scene there is now still a pitiful shadow of its former glory.

The same with the KTV scene. Prior to the big bust of the 400 odd Japanese partying / orgying in 2003, and of course the same with the famous walking ladies of LinHuaLu, then, literally numbering in the hundreds of them at any time of the day and night, parading their wares. And long before Chang Ping gained its notoriety as the Sex capital of Southern China, Zhuhai had already a well-entrenched and solid reputation for offering everything that a great mongering destination should offer.

In fact, I'd think that Chang Ping is probably going to take a copy book from all that Zhuhai has gone through the past decade which has turned it into the "Garden City" that it has transformed itself into nowadays. The only problem is of course that Chang Ping does NOT have all the fabulous natural scenery, the good clean air and having Macau as its hinterland.

Zhuhai has been able to capitalize on the fact that Macau is only a convenient walk over the Gongbei border to offer much cheaper accommodations, food and shopping as an alternative to the high Macau prices. Chang Ping is a dump too far away to attract any "regular" visitors.

But yeah, the decade long transformation of Zhuhai had not been an easy exercise for anybody, and I would think that the powers-that-be are not going to let such gains achieved to go down the drain by allowing Zhuhai to revert back to its former bad ways.

I stopped by LHL twice (end of March. 1st week of April) , there are still a few SWs but they are more discreet. It can be hard to pick them out. There are local style ST hotels, the girls can lead you to them. There are at least 3 ST hotels within 2 minutes walk from the umbrella bars. 50RMB per hour. 100RMB deposit.

The girls will ask 400-500 rmb, but always accepted my offer of 300. If you like to spend time negotiating could be had for less

So this is my question: since I am staying with my friend and not a hotel, can I find ST hotels near the mongering areas if I pick up a SW? Or do they have places to go to?

Just went to Zhuhai 3/15 to 3/18. And the action is dead there. Lian hua lu had no working girls and there's a police officer stationed on every block. All saunas are shut down. You can still find pimps in hotel parking lots but it's 300-500 rmb a pop and there's no overnight. 1000 for 4 hours is the overnight rate.
