Yes. I have used my Capital One Visa Card in East Spa and Rio many times. No FX transaction fee. Saunas eat up a lot of cash. That's why it is very good thing to be able to put it on the card.

I know my Amex charged me this fee as well before and I asked them to remove it. They did as a one time courtesy. Its charged on all foreign transactions is what I was told.

Cash is King in Macau and I rather get MOP anyway, alittle more bang and against the USD, its not bad at almost 8-1 currently.

I am surprised you did not see the pool, it is on the way to the lounge.

Happened to me once too. They have a pool cleaning or something from 2 to 4. In that time they open a short cut route directly to the resting area.

For the lack of service. I had the same feeling most of the times. But I can't understand the looks were only 6-8.

I would say most were in the 8-10 region.

Anyway I like the outgoing girls more, like the ones that do the showtime in familia noble. Never picked ones from the model catagory. They are hot but they always look they are bored to death.

Last March, I had a great session at the Sauna e Massagem Familia Nobre, so this year, en route from HKG to SIN, I decided repeat and put in a layover (pun intended) in Macao, before flying onward from there.

I want to take an afternoon ferry from HKG, stay overnight at the Sauna e Massagem Familia Nobre and take an noon flight to SIN.

My questions are:

Can someone please confirm, that an overnighter is in fact possible at the Familia Nobre?

Do I need to book an overnight room? Ahead of time?

Or do I just tell them when I arrive?

Or do I just stay till they kick me out?

Is there a luggage locker? The locker you keep your clothes in is not nearly large enough.

I stayed there once overnight, not that I wanted to, but all hotels were booked out. The captain even asked me by himselfe at around 3 am if I wanted to sleep. I didn't make any reservation or anything. Could have been luck that they had enough rooms but after seeing how big the sauna is I would say they have plenty. (we walked 400 meters to the sleeping area)

Other saunas over the same, but some don't have seperate rooms or even all they have is the chairs in the resting room.

Not sure about the luggage. I only had my laptop bag with me which fitted into the locker. But I guess they will deal with it professionaly.

Got a locker, a robe and headed the lounge area (didn't see the pool)
A nice Indonesian sweetie " Judy " offers drinks and food.
Free cigarets are there too

Aside the pool the girls offer the japanese shower, a sort of heating up shower!

English is not much of an option when you take asian girls, apart some nationalities (philipino or indonesian)

One needs to establish a bit of a link with the girls to get connection and service.

Indeed sometime this does not happen, lack of chemistry, and so not the best session.

The visiting time maybe did not help either. I read the line up was of some 20 girls.

Usually the line up is well over 40/50 girls, so wider choice is there.

At Rio the soap massage is the best I ever had and always amazed by the "technology" of the bath bed.

Macau's saunas require some approach also from the customer and have to be seen within the frame of a different culture.

Not before 18:00 better 20:00 best 22:00. The most girls have shifts from 18:00 to 4:00.

Not sure when they have the first showtime with strip show. Man that girl that did the strip show in the middle of the pool was unbelieveable.

The FX charge is added by the credit card company. Master card charges 3% but the exchange rate is often better than what is available for cash exchange on location. So often it is a wash and I prefer not to carry large amounts of dough. Bear in mind that exchange bureaus in Macau are sometimes very picky about the condition of banknotes they will accept. I've had US$100 with minor blemishes rejected at the counter near the racetrack.

All true. This is what I am talking about. Capital One Visa does not hit you with the 3% FX charge. It is the only cc I know of that does not do it; therefore it is a very good card to have in your wallet. Hey that sounds like the commercial.

One time in HKG and Macau, I had a 100 dollar bill with a small pin hole in the center right of the bill. I tried to cash it 5 or 6 times. I even offered to take less in exchange. No dice. Then one day I got lucky when a different money changer did not notice the hole.

One more thing about using plastic; make sure to notify your credit card company that you will be travelling abroad so the fraud department does not freeze your account after the 2nd or 3rd significant charge.

They realy eat a lot of cash. I already have the telephone no. Of 2 girls that I could call when in macau but I always feel the urge to try out new stuff and I am mostly dissapointed compared to those two and left with an empty wallet.

Obviouysly if one goes to a sauna with a sort of "brothel approac, IE select a girl from a line, have your deed and leave, the sauna is not appropriate, even if the rooms do offer a bit of a difference than a mere brothel.

One has to see the (Macau) sauna experience as a whole. Stay few hours, enoy a few side services, as japanese shower, body scrap etc etc.

Clearly this raises up the costs, but the whole experience is memorable and worth the money you spend, whatever anount this is, depending on the level of the venue.

So even in a cheap (Macau) sauna the overall costs are far more than a 161 girl in HK, than a FL (or a sauna girl in her freetime) coming to your room.
