St. Martin (The northern French side)

I never knew that there was a strip club on the French side, but according to an advert in The Daily Herald, the Crazy Paradise Strip club is located on rue Victor Maurasse in Marigot. Open from 10 pm until ..? Tel 0590 87 22 98.

According to my map of Marigot, rou Maurasse runs parallel to the ferry marina and the main road thru Marigot (rue de Hollande). Walking up from the Anguilla/St Barts ferry, it is the 3rd street (the 4th street is the main road around the island), and it only runs to the right for 2 blocks. Should be an easy club to find.

Has anyone tried it?

Can anyone tell me if C is offered over the counter without a perscription in St Martin? I'm planning a trip and might want to leave my stash home and purchase generic while on the Island. Can't wait to hit the beaches and the girls.

When I was in St. Maarten in 2002, I was never able to locate a club on the French side for swingers. Does anyone know the name and location? I'm headed back to the island in mid-September.

I am going to St. Martin in Dec. so I have a few questions. 1st one were can I score a cheap plane ticket? every thing I see is over $1,000 flying out of NC. 2nd one I am spending 2 weeks there and I wanted to know which is the best place to go I see that CB is highly spoken about? and the 3rd question where is a good club to pick up the ladys? and the last one: Best place to scuba dive for real. and posibly some does and some DO NOTS!

OK...finally getting around to posting about my recent trip to Sint Maarten. I visited Casa Blanca and Le Petit Chateau, Drove by Seamans which is just around the corner from Le Petit.

CB was a good place. Lots of pretty girls, even on a Monday night after midnight. Nice big screen TV with the girls dancing around trying to get your attention. 20 minutes was $44. I gave the girl a $20 tip for a great effort. Many Dominicas and Columbians both light and dark. You won't be dissappointed there.

LP was not as nice. Crowd was more local and a little scary. My cab driver named Kenny G. (not a joke) knew everyone there including ALL the girls. He gave me some shit because I refused one of the girls he sent over. He told me it was inappropriate for me to refuse a girl he recommended. He was calm in his approach but you know he was serious and threatening. So I bagged the next girl he recommended and went back to the hotel.

Seamans did not look any better than LP but it was after hours by then and did not go in.

My recommendation is to stick to Casa Blanca. Nice atmosphere and better girls.

To any veteran of St Martin:

Besides the brothels what is the nightlife like in St. Martin? I am sure I will spend plenty of time at these establishments but are there plenty of bars/clubs with pro and non-pro women also? I usually like the flexiblity of pros and non-pros in case either scene does not float my boat. I usually go to the DR but I like to try out new places. I do like the fact that there are plenty of direct flights to St Martin. Next week I am going to Curacao for the first time so I will post a report in that section when I get back. I would appreciate any feedback.

Just back from a few days on St. Martin.

First stopped at Seamans, but my buddies didn't like the look of the place from the outside so we proceeded to Casa Blanca about a couple miles further. Security guard in the parking lot so we felt better.

15 to 20 girls hanging around. Immediately a couple girls came up to us and starting hugging and rubbing and acting real friendly. Couldn't find any who spoke English so settled with a girl from Santa Rosa who was quite cute with a nice body. A little heavy in the bottom, but not objectionable. Somehow I communicated that I wanted to go to a private place so we wandered down the stairs to the "chain link" window where she deposited my $44 through the screen and out popped a key to one of the rooms.

She was quite friendly and provided everything I desired. Didn't even ask for a tip, but I gave her one anyway.

Maho beach is a long way from the brothels, (Seamans, Defiance, Borders, and Casa Blanca) they're all on the other side of the island. So the cab fare is going to be expensive, anywhere from $20-30 one way.

My suggestion is to rent a car. Its too bad you only have one day on st. martin. It takes a few days to explore the island and all the brothels.

As far as the departure tax goes I really don't remember if I paid it at the airport or it was a part of my ticket. I was there in Oct. '02.

I'm a regular of Dominican Republic but I'll be stopping off in St. Marteen Jan 20th for a night before I hit Sosua. I will be staying in the Maho beach area near the airport, Can anyone tell me how far and how much a cab ride to say the Casa Blanca is or any other hot spots you recommend? Also with American Airlines is the $20 departure tax included in the airfare price or do you have to pay the departure tax at the airport? When leaving Dominican Republic the departure tax is already included in the airfare. I don't know if this is true with St Maarten.

i was also in st. martin in early '02. here's a quick run-down:

st. martin is an island controlled by two governments. the north end is french controlled and is the home of topless and nude beaches and famous resorts. the south end is controlled by the dutch and is the happening end! here, casinos and prostitution are legal. although after fully investigating and experiencing this island, i must say i still prefer my favorite place (the dr). however, there are some advantages to this destination. good luck and happy hunting!

hotels: the hotels here are top of the line. and the best news of all, no problems with women in the rooms. several nights i took girls into the hotel, directly by security and the front desk staff. the dominican republic could learn something here. the rates are higher, typical of other islands, but not to bad.

girls: guess what? the place is full of dominicans. there is also a lot of columbians and a hand full of natives. they do incall in the brothels for about $40.00 a session. overnight at the hotel will cost you about $100.00 more or less, and a small bar fee. definitely more than the dr, but considerably less than costa rica, if you are looking for a new place to go.

brothels:
seamans club, open 11am-4am daily (many columbians) 542-2978
club defiance, located below a local disco. about 20 girls. open at night only. 542-1670

border bar, on the road to casa blanca. very large dump. about 20-25 girls (mostly domin). 543-6140

casa blanca, probably the largest. i went two nights 30-40 women each night. (good mix). 543-6300

(all locations are dumps, take the cabby in with you)

taxi vs rent a car: unlike any other island, i think it is very safe to drive here. but at night i liked having the cabby with me. if you go in numbers, and don't drink toooo much, rent a car. also, during the day, there are many nude beaches and other places to go. taxis are expensive here. (juan, taxi #57, cell phone 556-2673)

food and water: great food here (but a little pricey), water is safe to drink from the tap.

casinos: all full service (including craps). generally much nicer than those in the dr.

quality of girls: the domincans were average (6-7). the columbians i found were very nice, (7-8), but not to many of them. locals were average(5-7).

strip joints: platinum club, near maho beach, good quality girls, $10.00 cover, waste of time in my opinion.

beaches: very clean, not real crowded. good selection of [CodeWord117]. nude and topless beaches are located in the orient bay area. (about twenty minutes from downtown philipsburg.

shopping: the prices here are incredible. for example, one liter of absolute vodka $4.95, carton marlboros $10.00, nice (3 pixel) digital cam $125.00. nice downtown area (philipsburg) to hang out during the day. usually a couple of cruise ships in port for the day.

regular discos: many nice places to go. i went to "q" club every night. it is located across from the maho beach resort. the locals tell me that thursday thru sunday night the clubs are generally busy. q club was packed with nice young women every night i went. no cover charge.

booze prices: american and caribbean beer in brothels $2.00, in discos $4-$5. hard liquor is about $4.50 a drink. (get a bottle for the same price in any store).

customs and departure tax: $20.00 departure tax, what customs?

Spent a nice week in St. Maarten. Didn't get a chance to get a hold of any action, but did take the opportunity to spy out all the places mentioned and they all seem to still be happening. Went by Seaman's on Halloween and they were packed. Strawberries opens sometime after 2:00 (not sure when) and CATS seemed to open late as well. I will be back next year and am already planning how to hit up as many places as possible.
