Anyway you asked about hotels, French side they are nice but expensive, exchange rate on the Euro can make them even more costly.

Suggest the Dutch side, here are a few I would recomend. They should fit your needs, Travel Inn Hotel, Simpson Bay area: Flamingo Beach Resort, same area close to the beach plus these are apartments: Holland House Beach Hotel, central Philipsburg.

Holland House is close to the entertainment you are looking for, the other two are little further away, say 10 - 15 mins drive from the center of town, however I would suggest that you hire a car anyway.

If you decide to come over, let me know, and if I'm on island wecould hook up for a drink.

Both of these clubs are in Phillipsburg. Strewberrys is in the middle of town, on Canigeiter Street, which runs paralle to the Pond Fill, it behind the Public Works,any taxi driver will know where it is. Cats is on A.T. Illidge Road, other side of the Pond Fill. again taxi drivers will know it. Private session, will be the cost of say 2/3 songs, depends on what you intend doing. Average price $50-$100, for BJ to FS,just depends on the girl and the time of nite.

You ask about the French side, I've seen and met the odd working girl in Marigot, mostley round the St.Peters area, not a good place to be late at nite.

Thanks for the bits of info mates! A medium-sized "fun" camp, several decent strip clubs where anything goes?! I'm having second thoughts, maybe this island has "untapped" potential for mongers afterall. I was starting to get the impression that Sint Maarten was only for the super"well-heeled" but I read on the Lonely-Planet.com that despite being the playground for some of the rich and famous, it is actually only a moderately priced destination, and it has direct flights from many U.S. cities. (No connecting flight headaches)

I think, however any successful monger trip must start with an all-round great hotel. Can anyone out there offer any advice? Something in the $100 per night range or so, guest-friendly of course, and reasonably good accomodations. There are a gizillion hotels listed on travelocity and such - can anyone throw me a tip or two to limit the field?

If I go I'll return the favor and post a solid report.

I've been living on the island, off & on for 10 years. Price for most girls in house, all brothals have rooms, range from $30 -$50. Take away shouldn't cost much more than $100 for the nite, each bar charges differant fine.

I would recomend Seamens Club, Casa Blanca, Le Pitie Chatue, at all of these you get latino chics, if you want a bit of English languge try Cats or Strawberrys, both are strip joints with Jamaican or Trinidadian girls, lap dance or Private room for a private session once behind closed doors anything goes.

There is another stip club high class. eastern block girls, called Platanum, thats out by the airport, cover charge $15 to get through the door.

There are some other house, but are not for the faint of heart.

With all due respect W.R. For $300 and a nice dinner at "one of the better restaurants" I'll put on a sun dress, some lipstick and I'll be your GIRLFRIEND for an evening. (I have pretty good legs!) I think this is wildly expensive!! Was the $300 tab her idea? I bet it was. Did you try to talk her down? Did you try to "dress down" a little before going to pick her up? (I'm just guessing but I would say that a Gringo wearing a shirt that says something like "Mandalay Yacht Club - Executive Member" might raise the price about 400%)

If the $300 was the best you could do, I think I would steer clear of St. Maarteen and opt for Aruba or Curacao. These "arrangements" are available on these islands for much, much less $$. I have met with women on both islands and got cell phone #'s and home addresses in Colombia, to contact them for relationships and whatnot, if this is what you're looking for. I'm not exactly the poorest guy in the world but I would NEVER pay that kind of freight though.

BTW, FYI yes the girls work at these Dutch camps for 3 month stints (sounds alot like another of the Netherlands gov't owned operations), and pay a small rent for their accomadations. When they return to Perreira or Cali or Bogota or Medellin, they usually make about $450 per month.

Here are my 2 cents: I have been to St. Maarten several times over the past couple of years and thus far, my experiences are very good.

In October last year I went to the "Le Petit Chateau", which is located at a dirt road very close to Philipsburg. It was about 8 pm and there were about 15 to 20 girls, as far as I can judge, most or maybe all from Colombia and between 20 and 25 y/o. Most of the girls are 5 to 8, some are better. I paid $40 for 20 minutes of fun (fuck and suck), of course protected. This is kinda expensive, but my spanish is less than not good, so I guess I am at a disadvantage right there. The experience was okay, but I would have liked to have more time with the girl. Later I heard that you can take the girls to your hotel and have an all-nighter. Regarding the price for an all-nighter with a girl from the Chateau, I can only speculate, but I would guess it should be in the range of $200 to 300.

When I go over to St. Maarten in 2 weeks I may have time to explore those places a little more.

I don't know any place where I could pick up working girls in St. Maarten, but I am interested in that, so if anyone knows something about that, please post or contact me directly.

I can't answer all your questions, but a few I can give you some advice on.

Prices for the girls usually start at $40 and goes from there, some want more and others will go lower. Some girls would take $30. So its not exactly fixed.

My suggestion is to stay on the Dutch side because English is widely spoken there, not so on the French side. As far as the beaches go, there were good ones on both sides of the island, it just doesn't matter what beach you go to.

As far as finding working girls on the French side, I didnt see any in Marigot or any part of the French side.
There are some nite club there but I didn't go into any.

My biggest suggestion is to rent a car while you're on the island because the ***** houses are spread out. Taking a cab can get expensive.

You're other questions I can't answer. I never heard of 'Fun Camp', ownership of the clubs, I don't know about, and taking a girl out of the club, I never did.

I was hoping someone could give me the updated 411 on this island. I am amazed how little information there is on an island that is half-owned by the Dutch!

Before the end of the year I have both money and time off and plenty of both, I will forever be in you debt if you could pass some advice my way.

Where exactly is the location of the "fun" camp? Is it near Philipsburg? Is it similar to the camp in Curacao? Are prices fixed and are things organized and is it owned by the government like it is in Curacao or is it more of a private owned less-structured arrangement? My favorite thing to do is find a pretty chica (Colombian Mujeres are my first choice) and take her out for the day. Maybe, hit the beach then drinks and lunch and then back to my room for fun. How expensive would this type of thing be in St. Maarten? I read a post a while back that said all day would run about $180, well I'd consider this quite expensive. I was able to negotiate this arrangement in Curacao consistently for $80 - $100. (The girls seemed happy just to see something different for the day) How far is the "fun" - camp from the Orient (nude) beach by car?

Hotels: Is it better to stay in St. Maarten, pick up the girl and then go to the beaches of St. Martin? Or is it better to do the reverse? What moderate priced hotels are guest-friendly? What higher-priced hotels are?

Bars: Are there other places to meet working girls besides the local "fun"-camp? Are there any girls working on the French side or is strictly the Dutch side thing?

st. martin - Me and my buddy just got back from 10 days on the island. The sex action was really great. We tried 5 brothels there: Casablanca, Borders, Le Petit Maison, Seamans and Defiance. We liked the last 2 the best. Most of the girls are from Columbia and a few from the Dominican Republic. About half are latino and the other half are black. The drinks in Seamans are $3 but theres no bar fine to take the girls to the rooms. But at Defiance the drinks are $2 plus you have to pay the bar fine of $3. Most of the girls prices start at $40 but you can get them down to $30 with a little negotiating. But you do need to know your Spanish because they speak very little English. Defiance was a big bar with a dancing stage that some girls would dance on from time to time. There was a big selection of girls from 30+ from mid-afternoon on. Seamans was a little smaller. Le Petit was close to Phillipsburg off the salt pond near the university. The rest of the places were up the road leading out of Phillipsburg on the way to Oyster Pond. Just came back from a vacation to St Martin...

One afternoon, my friend and I managed to escape from our hotel without our wives. Our original plan was buying some souvenirs in Philipsburg. But soon we got bored and we wanted some more action.
We asked a local for a good club and he guided us to the ''Casa Blanca''. It is situated at the east side of the island, close to the border with the French side, but still on the Dutch side of the border. The closest town is Orléans.

The club is a white large three store building full of windows.
Every window is a girl's room. From outside it realy looks like a ''fuck-factory''. And that is what it realy is!

When we arrived on the parking lot we noticed we were the only guests. At least 20 girls were siting on a little wall next to the entrance. They waved very entousiastic at us. The absolute best island to vacation on. There is something there for everyone. On the French side there are good hotels, wonderful beaches (many nude all topless), fantastic restaurants, they drive on the right side of the road so a rental car is not a problem and English is widely spoken. On the Dutch side of the isl;and there is plenty of duty free shopping, gambling and legal prostitution (though, not widely advertised much like the rest of the Netherland Antilles). The U.S. Dollar is accepted everywhere on the island.

Strip Clubs - There are two I identified, though I only visited Platinum Club (near Maho Beach Resort). It opens at 10:00 - 10:30pm every night, so it is a late night stop after dinner and some gambling. Entrance is $10 and it buys you your first drink. As in all strip clubs, a girl will come up to you and start talking. Most of these girls speak English fairly well, but it is a second (third or fourth) language for most. A girl will get up on the stage (which is fairly large) and do two songs, one clothed, the second song topless. Afterwards, she will try to hit you up for a tip of a dollar or two. Private dances can be had in the "Jungle Room" where there is much grinding and teasing. That is all you get here. Figure you are going to spend several dollars and get frustrated at this place. The girls are all nice, some very good looking ones, but the advice I give is don't bother with a trip here. It is kinda like taking a trip to China and staing in your room to watch a video of the Great Wall.

Brothels - there are several, though I only go to two. The first is called the Seamans Club. It is located just out of Philipsburg. To get there take the road from Philipsburg toward the French side by staying on the eastside of Salt Pond. You will be heading toward the Sucker Garden Region. about two miles out of town on your left will be a white building set back from the street with a relatively new sign. There is a string of lights over the front door that make the place look a little like a used car lot. There may be several girls sitting outside or one guy watching the parking lot depending on the time of day. As you enter, a drink at the bar (beer is $2) and have a seat. Two televisions playing above the bar. On the left is a Spanish speaking news station (or, if there is a football match on that may be playing) on the right is usually some porn (often HBO Real Sex, or some light bondage videos, etc). A girl will approach you and here is where you may need some Spanish to break the ice) will begin to talk. Most of the woman on this trip were from Colombia, though in th epast I have met several woman from other islands here). For $40 you get up to 20 minutes (though they often run a little longer) with the girl of your choice in her room. The rooms are disgusting. They look a little like a converted stable or prison. Everything is covered and some girls may offer anal for an extra $10. Some may include it in their standard rate, some may not offer it. Most events ar 1/2 and 1/2 with a condom that can best be described as a finger cut off from one of those industrial rubber gloves. You may get the girl to use yours, some may prefer to use their own. After your time, you go out to the bar to repeat, or head on your merry way. The place never seems very crowded and there can be anywhere from 8 - 10 girls working at any time, but they start at 11:00am and go til 4:00am I think. There may be as many as 20 girls on the property at anyone time and the girls basically come over on an arranged contract for a period of time. The girls may leave the property and, it so happens I ran into one of the girls I spent some time with in a restaurant with an elderly gentleman the following evening. So it may be possibly to, in essence, hire a girl for a few days if you so choose. Consider it an option that may be avaialble to you if you find a stunning girl that you would like to take back to your villa or the beach for the day. Seaman's Club is fairly famous and any local or cab driver can get you there if you can't find it.

The second option is easier to find and much larger. The "Casa Blanca", or White House. On the road toward Oyster Pond there is a lrge white house on a hill that has "Casa Blanca" painted on the side. It looks like a large apartment building. Up the dirt drive and find a place to park. There were as many as 40 girls there and never fewer than 25. The only real difference is the girls were more aggressive and you had to buy a condom from the bartender. Here the rooms look more like a cross between a college dorm and a prison. The Girls here (in my experience) are always spanish speaking (mostly Colombian. $40 buys you a shot with your girl in her room. Again, there is music, no TV and cheap drinks to be had. I'm not sure if you can "check a girl out" of Casa Blanca like you can the Seaman's Club. I never asked.

There is also a place called the "Border Bar", but I never did find it.
